  1. Listened on the radio, didn't hear any instance of pressure on Hamilton Q.B., and after the game one of the starting D lineman said they were not happy with the way the defence played. Correct me if I'm wrong, but lack of pressure, none whatsoever, has nothing to do with running a vanilla defence. I didn't get to watch or listen to the game, so I can't speak to last night's game. To your overall point though, I definitely think a vanilla defense can lead to lack of pressure. If you're not masking what you're doing or throwing new things at an offense, its going to be a lot easier for them to find the holes in the play call. Maybe its easier for them to identify where the blitz is, or that you're just in base man coverage. Simpler coverage means less "coverage sacks" and easier (and often easier) reads. thanks, makes sense, please ignore immediately prior post which I will now delete.
  2. deleted cause all wrong
  3. sounds like defence is the concern for most people. Maybe it takes more than a year and a half to rebuild a complete team, from a shambles. Seems like the O line has been rebuilt. Now the D line/linebackers.
  4. thanks a lot great to see this!
  5. I think the fact that North American Greed is somehow responsible for this is a great fallacy. Frankly I don't see how a North American can cause that by leasing a BMW, enjoying a latte or shopping at the mall. I don't think its what we value in North America that is causing that. Guess I wasn't clear, sorry, I didn't say, or mean "North American" greed. I don't consider it to be a problem only of North America. The problem of greed is world wide. One of the richest men in the world is from Thailand, he's worth fifty billion dollars. A country where you can buy anything including organs, and people. That's greed. In fact, of the first ten richest people in the world, a number of them are literally Kings of countries that are filled with paupers.
  6. However you figure it out, there are at least one billion people who don't even have access to clean water. They are so desperate, that they drink sewer water. There are women and children in Africa who spend most of their time, carrying water in pails that we would throw out. and on and on. When someone figures out the "system" that will correct that problem, I'd like to see it. There is no system that is immune to greed. This is what the Pope is talking about. We need to change what we value.
  7. gbill is an encyclopaedia of all things bombers. hats off to you gbill, doing a good job.
  8. I hope to see Bombers doing some run stopping, and some good play by our o line, and no fumbles on kick returns. Grigsby out, so that should make run stopping easier.
  9. canuck qb finally. hope yantz gets some time tomorrow.

  12. haven't had much luck since Anthony….getting a quarterback. Crompton isn't great.
  13. For those feeling sympathy for the big networks, I seem to recall that in the sixties the cable companies divided up cities, to eliminate competition. On one side of the river was one company, on the other side, was another. No choice whatsoever. also, Globe and Mail "Here’s the story. On Thursday, five local TV stations in the U.S. announced they are asking authorities in Ottawa to correct a longstanding practice that gives cable, satellite, and Internet TV operators in Canada the right to grab their signals with an antenna and then distribute them to viewers without any compensation to the stations. This is actually the business model that built the Canadian cable industry: taking something free out of the air and then sending it into millions of customers’ living rooms at a hefty mark-up."
  14. According to the morningbigblue twitter stream, the Riders are saying they are streaming their game tomorrow night.
