  1. Johnzo posted: I'm impressed that you read it. Probably the only person here qualified to comment.
  2. The coach is looking pretty smart these days too. He's manoevered the team through some tough spots this season. In post game interviews, he usually says something informative, doesn't dodge questions, doesn't give non answers, doesn't talk down the the reporter, or the fans.... always credits the players, not himself. I'm sure there's lots more than I can list. He's impressive.
  3. rough game is fine, but the blues like to shove their sticks in peoples face. way too much of that, and other similar crap. at the end of the game, a blues player was shoving his stick in stuart's face, stuart was lying on the ice. The blues are really dirty.
  4. most important question....who scored the most points on this thread? need a poll.
  5. Buck's son is a Winnipeger.
  6. a jets win is imminent.
  7. somebody predicted that the wild are done. sweep leg I think. hope they were right. They didn't look very good against Detroit.
  8. I don't know what it is, some players not good enough? or maybe they've just run out of gas? but, two on none breakaways, one man breakaways, no defence in the last three minutes, winning goals against the jets with 25 seconds left in the game, collapse when it really matters, etc. You don't have to be a great hockey mind to know that the defence is not doing well. One would think that the players must have something to do with that don't they?
  9. If the defence was even average, the team would probably be in the playoffs. The goalie is beleaguered at this point. HIs own defenceman directed the puck towards the net, from one foot from the crease yesterday. How many thirty goal scorers does the wild v. the jets have? For a team with limited offence, the Jets need better defence. strangely they smothered Ovechkin. beats me.
  10. the coach sure sounds tired on post game interview.
  11. They should make the games 57 minutes long
  12. don't worry about the guys jumping on you, keep posting flyguy58. people hit the post too quick sometimes.
  13. Hope they play a little better on defence, help the goalie out.
  14. I've noticed that the goalie is completely unprotected by the referees. I've seen this in Jets games, and other games. They get hammered, crashed on, regularly. Offensive players end up inside the net repeatedly. There's no excuse for this being tolerated. So they leave it up to the players to deal with the problem. and we get this. In some ways, the NHL is a stupid league.
  15. can't arm tackle him. He sure looks good.
  16. watching some of the games last season, he looked like a guy who hates to lose, and will do whatever he can to win. which means a lot. some of the Bombers over the last while are lacking in the completive department it looked like to me. or something like that.
  17. bleacher report says wild number 1 Recent Trend: Minnesota's been one of the hottest teams in the NHL for several months now, and that shows no signs of changing. The Wild went 4-0 this week and currently hold a five-game winning streak. Big Picture: Minnesota briefly moved past Chicago for control of third in the Central Division, but a Blackhawks win on Sunday bumped them back down. The Wild have been the best team in the NHL since bringing aboard Devan Dubnyk in mid-January; the team's plus-47 goal differential is 19 better than the next-closest club since then.
  18. Jet's defence was somewhat lacking in this game. and even with the referee assisted goal, the game was tied, they had a power play, could not score, (wasn't there a shorthanded chance too) then let in the winner. tough loss.
  19. thanks for the info, it's interesting to follow.
