  1. related, somewhat, I have noticed sports broadcasters on the radio saying "what the F" won't be long till they use the whole word. Not my cup of tea.
  2. I remember the name, but that's about it. But I do remember Mosca jumping on willie the wisp. thanks iso_55
  3. hard to imagine how many times he's heard these jokes. He proved one thing for sure, he is tough as nails. and he made some spectacular passes first part of the season, theres on reason he can't do that again.
  4. does this mean now we don't need Demski?
  5. oops. sorry, you're right. Thanks….. and I guess most of you here know better than I that he had a very illustrious high school and college career….
  6. I admire Brohm, who as a high NFL drafted player, must have gotten a lot of money. as a Heisman winner It probably would have been fairly easy for him to quit playing and slide into a College coaching job, in the school where he is a hero, or a media job, when his NFL career didn't go well. Yet he obviously wants to play football, and keeps hanging in there, under less auspicious circumstances than he probably expected back then. I too thought he ran the offence crisply and effectively when he got a chance. too bad he got injured so quickly; Who knows, we might have had a quarterback controversy. I'm Glad he's back.
  7. At its best it wasn't as good as this site. This group is much funnier.
  8. that first goal in the video reminds me of Patrick Kane's stanley cup winner a few years ago. almost no angle.
  9. "Iraq has suffered a lack of correct metering from its wellheads and pipelines since at least 2003. The International Advisory and Monitoring Board (IAMB), created in 2003 to oversee management of Iraq's natural resources during a transitional period, said in 2006 that years of requesting an accurate metering system had brought no results The IAMB first expressed concern at the lack of metering in July 2004.] A 2011 review of an audit by PricewaterhouseCoopers of Iraq's oil revenue management found that the plan to fully install and calibrate a metering system by 2012 was only 39% complete" no metering of oil eh…
  10. Thought he had it I would have dressed Pav though. If we lost, we could just blame Pav. Blame Pav… There must be some way to do that anyway.
  11. jeeze, you're always coming up with inconvenient facts. Interesting. Fort Mac it is then!
  12. Doesn't Quebec City make more sense than Fort McMurray? hotbed of three down football, good college team, graduates in the CFL…… Fort MacMurray. CFL trying to prove it really is a bush league after all.
  13. He's a free agent. Still don't understand with the stunt he pulled on us why Walters was so nice & didn't release him a day later so he couldn't have signed with anyone. Maybe he was thinking about doing something to make Wpg a more appealing place to come to for players.
  14. and, Canada thanks you Jean Chretien for declining to involve us in that.
  15. I know nothing, but…. the post game show the other day on the radio, a similar statement was made, by a caller, then the host looked up and quoted the team stats, and Enstrom as I recall the host said, has one half (approx) the giveaways of some of the other defence men. He said it's often said, but is not true. just thought I'd mention this
  16. Why not just respond to the question I asked, instead of answering a question I didn't ask.
  17. what's left wing about the CBC? just curious. Got an example of something? I just don't see it. If you mean on labour issues, Outside of the temporary foreign workers issue, which the CBC covered, canadian labour issues are rarely in the news, outside of mentioning the official unemployment rate.
  18. 1. If what you say about Clinton is true (haven't seen any kind of evidence from you, just your statement,) Does that make Rumsfeld's failure ok then? If it does, in your mind, please explain the logic.
  19. Anyone who think the CBC is "left wing" hasn't been listening to it much for the last few years. The CTV has Craig Oliver, who favours nobody, says what he thinks, and asks smart questions. He's our only hope these days, for honesty and critical thinking in tv news and opinion.
  20. heard this? Donald Rumsfeld had the chance when he was US defence secretary in December 2001 to make sure Osama bin Laden was killed or captured, but let him slip through his hands, a Senate report has found. The report by the Senate foreign relations committee is damning of the way George Bush's administration conducted the aftermath of its bombing campaign in Afghanistan, saying it amounted to a "lost opportunity". It states that as a result of allowing the al-Qaida leader to flee from his Tora Bora stronghold into Pakistan, Americans were left more vulnerable to terrorism, and the foundations were laid for today's protracted Afghan insurgency. It also lays blame for the July 2005 London bombings on a failure to kill the al-Qaida leaders at Tora Bora. But the report contains a mass of evidence that points towards the near certainty that Bin Laden was in the Tora Bora district of the White Mountains in eastern Afghanistan, along with up to 1,500 of his most loyal al-Qaida fighters and bodyguards, in late November 2001, shortly before the fall of Kabul." The Guardian 29.11.09 I think there was an infamous phone call to Florida from Afghanistan, where the commander in Afghanistan was asking what to do, and was told to do nothing. If they had captured Osama, then they were out of excuses to go into Iraq. All in all, it's a very ugly disaster, no matter how you look at it.
  21. That's an ignorant comment, I won't change my tune on Glenn and would rather work thru a backup finding his game then watch an old man with zero emotion try to rally the troops.. And if we hit playoffs having to start praying to every god that is in existence that Glenn can FINALLY perform on the big stage.. can I get it out of the way and just do this now? just hold both positions at once? just hedging my opinion.
  22. Wow! I watched that game for a few minutes, should have kept it on. and half full arena. no wonder they don't want a cfl team down there.
  23. The American's are the latest in a long series, and they've probably caused the most misery, in numbers of dead and displaced. Well, they're up there, maybe not the most. It is true that the history of civilization, is one mainly of war, conquest, and greed.
  24. I guess now that we have a good offensive line, Willy has to show something more than what we saw last half of last season. Nice summary too, thanks!
