  1. I was thinking about this. There is more to this these shootings than the amount of and type of guns. People in the states, are violent, more violent than we are able to understand. violence is viewed as an extreme, but acceptable solution to some every day problems. look at the airport incident with the football player. Use of violence is encouraged, its even legislated....the stand your ground laws. enabling citizens to go after abortion health care workers. hailing rittenhouse as a hero. He met Trump. They are just a violent country. there are many many guns in Canada, but for the most part, we do not see them as a solution. americans have been exporting extreme violence since the korean war, now, it has come home. Switzerland has a lot of guns, but the people are not nuts, so..... they dont have these shootings. Just a part of the decay of their society, which has been going on since the seventies. No real sign of significant change ahead for the better that I can see.
  2. "A new line for London The Elizabeth line is now open. It stretches more than 100km from Reading and Heathrow in the west through central tunnels across to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east. The new railway built by Crossrail Ltd will stop at 41 accessible stations - 10 of them new - and is expected to serve up to 200 million people each year." https://tfl.gov.uk/travel-information/improvements-and-projects/elizabeth-line 25 billion. Amazing engineering job by the Brits. Trains are good. Too bad we cant have more.
  3. Playing on the edge is fine intentionally injuring nope seen too many guys going up off the ice for a head shot in these playoffs seems to be allowed right now also crashing the goalie
  4. Smith looked good last night.....
  5. Wonder if oilers getting Kane is the same as Bombers getting Collaros. final piece of the puzzle. Both moves questioned, at the time. Also, Kane owes McDavid five percent of kane's next contract. Noticed Kane is not afraid at all of the heavy going along the boards, and behind the net. Seems to kind of like it. tv showed a great shot of a calgary d guy on the bench after one of mcdavid kane goals... look on his face was complete wtf. Lol. oilers haters missing some epic hockey.
  6. The cold is probably a good thing, keeps out the riff raff... I have travelled to a few places...... in and out of canada. The landscapes you see in Manitoba are pretty darn nice. the town of Pinawa, retirement community, quiet, has a hospital, music, the arts, right on the banks of very beautiful Winnipeg river, absolute wilderness, one hour drive through farmland, to the Peg. amazing.
  7. More just a side discussion about the very good things wpg and manitoba have.
  8. Mcdavid to kane 👀 Showed a nice shot of mcdavid changing directions four times in three seconds . defenders have no idea of what hes going to do.
  9. Second period, 2 very nice goals for oilers.... three. ....four. flames seem to be allowed to crash into mike smith as much as they want.
  10. Re: O line.... need to give a lot of credit to the O line coach, Marty Costello. "Marty Costello enters his seventh year with the Blue Bombers in 2022, and fifth as the club’s offensive line coach. Costello has earned the utmost respect for the work he has done with the Blue Bombers offensive line, which remains the most-consistent and dominant unit in the Canadian Football League. The 2021 season was particularly rewarding for Costello and his charges as they played a critical role in the 2021 Grey Cup championship. The offensive line surrendered the fewest quarterback sacks in the league as part of an offence which also finished first in scoring and second in yards rushing. Prior to 2021, the offensive line also had a lot to boast about, as running back Andrew Harris has captured three consecutive CFL rushing titles, while the offence finished first in scoring in 2018 and second in 2017. Heading into the 2019 season, Winnipeg’s O-line lost two starters in the offseason with centre Matthias Goossen retiring to work with the Delta Police Department and Sukh Chungh leaving in free agency. As well, the club was without Neufeld for the first half of the season due to injury. Yet, Costello’s crew continued to provide holes for Harris while protecting three different starting quarterbacks in Matt Nichols, Chris Streveler and Zach Collaros. Winnipeg’s 2,663 yards rushing was the most by the club since 1965, when the team rushed for 3,005 yards in a 16-game season." lots more https://www.bluebombers.com/football-operations/marty-costello/
  11. They ( nfl) also miss guys that are good ....
  12. Wow .....from last tweet o'shea quote on Deatrick Nichols: "he was extremely humble with the idea he was going to learn as much as he could and take those opportunities to learn, listen, figure it out and not take that for granted. “He’s an unbelievable football player and super smart. I thought he was a terrific learner last year.”
  13. Seems to sometimes shift into a different dimension where they temporarily cant see him.
  14. Trump , who wanted to bomb mexico, "disguise" jets and attack China, nuke hurricanes, and inject bleach. I have no trouble accepting that he said this and meant it.
  15. Game winning goal tampa v panthers..... lol Panthers defenceman is a complete idiot..... weegar.
  16. "Dark maga" 😂 sounds like something from the twilight or otner low grade teen angst movie. the guy is a dolt. what a complete whack job country. Right on the brink as usual. The drama queen of countries.
  17. In the "world gone mad" department, (CNN)Mercedes-Benz confirmed on Thursday that it recently sold the world's most expensive car. A very rare 1955 Mercedes-Benz SLR coupe that had been kept in the German automaker's collection was sold to a private owner for €135 million, the equivalent of $142 million. That price makes it the most expensive car known to ever have been sold, according to Hagerty, a company that tracks collector car values.
  18. Not bad opening minute for flames. 👀
  19. Got to keep the worker drones distracted. sports, movies, booze, drugs, and hate. hate is the big one, the go to move, cause it keeps us yokels divided And at each others throats.
  20. Im with you. Article says "Several months ago, the department quietly detailed a veteran federal prosecutor from Maryland, Thomas Windom, to the department’s headquarters. He is overseeing the politically fraught question of whether a case can be made related to other efforts to overturn the election, aside from the storming of the Capitol. That task could move the investigation closer to Mr. Trump and his inner circle." "several months ago" 😂 too busy going after the yahoos that wre stupid enough to do as told by trump. "Politically fraught" thought it was a criminal investigation. Guess not. Democrats ascared. As usual. dont want to irritate all 37 trump voters who might vote D next time. just like when al gore conceded to george bush, before votes were counted, for the good of the country. Turned out, Al actually won when all votes were counted.
  21. you don't have Nixon Madison cawthorne to kick around any more, because, gentlemen, this is my last press conference." Not as much teflon as I thought. republican backroom operation " get cawthorne" completed. Appears They are good at some things. overheard in Republican strategy meeting today: "Where, and when is the celebration orgy; I got the coke, who brings the underage girls?"
  22. some American Statistics from 2015, homicide. "The statistics show that the 500 killings of white people attributed to blacks last year were the most since black perpetrators were determined to be responsible for the homicides of 504 white people nationwide in 2008. Last year's total was up 12 percent from the 446 recorded in 2014 and 22 percent from the 409 seen in 2013, a year that saw the lowest total this century and one that capped seven years of general declines in black-on-white homicides. Prior to that, 2006 saw the most black-on-white killings since 2001, with 573. The 229 black lives taken by white killers last year, however, marked an even larger leap from 2014, jumping more than 22 percent from the 187 black victims killed by whites that year, which was the second-lowest total since 2001. The tally was last exceeded in 2008, when 230 blacks were slain by whites. The highest total in the last 15 years came in 2007, when 245 black people were killed by whites." and other related. https://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2016-09-29/race-and-homicide-in-america-by-the-numbers Edit no idea what these mean, and dont mean it is same as white guy hunting blacks like varmints.
