https://arstechnica.com/cars/2022/05/the-worlds-biggest-hydrogen-fuel-cell-ev-started-work-in-south-africa/ South Africa, mining company Anglo American wants to set an example at its platinum mine in Mogalakwena, which has become home to one of the world's largest electric vehicles—a 210-metric-ton (463,000-lb) truck powered by hydrogen fuel cells. The nuGen haul truck started life as a Komatsu 930E with a diesel-electric powertrain, in which a 16-cylinder engine acted as a generator to power the truck's electric traction motors. Now, that diesel engine is gone, and the haul truck's traction motors are powered by eight 100 kW hydrogen fuel cell modules from Ballard and a lithium-ion battery pack from Williams Advanced Engineering capable of outputting 1.1 MW, integrated by First Mode in Seattle. 👀Peak power for the fuel cell powertrain is 2 MW (2,682 hp), which is sufficient for the haul truck to retain its 300-metric-ton (661,000-lb) payload rating. When fully laden, the massive truck and its payload will tip the scales at 510 metric tons (1.1 million lbs). second article "SEATTLE, April 03, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- First Mode, a design, engineering, and complex-system development firm, today announced it has exited stealth mode to bring the tools and technologies of deep space exploration to challenging industrial problems around the globe. The company, formerly known as Synchronous, was founded in early 2018 by engineers, scientists, and strategists from companies including NASA, JPL, Spaceflight Industries, Boeing, Intel, and Planetary Resources. With extensive experience designing and operating robotic systems on the surface of Mars, the company has been testing their unique approach on projects and industries ahead of making the company’s services publicly available." ..... first mode made the engine. Ballard is Canadian company.

Wow these people are insane. "The draft references nearly 1 million women who were seeking to adopt in 2002 ,“whereas the domestic supply of infants relinquished at birth or within the first month of life and available to be adopted has become virtually nonexistent.”

Usual stuff, Charged, and got convictions for a bunch of foot soldiers. Resulting in some light sentences, (considering they were attempting to overthrow the government) which will deter nobody, but which is enough to satisfy the leaders of the country it seems. And the press, tv, etc. Upper level perpetrators got nothing to worry about. so, now just stalling till republicans get control, and end the inquiry. Same b.s. as Bush torture.... lock up lydie england...... couple other grunts that did the dirty work..... problem solved.

Yeah, I agree, and good comparison to Sellers.

A suspected international hit man who died in a plane crash in northern Ontario last week was a former member of the Canadian military who bred purebred dogs when not allegedly killing for hire. Crash victim Gene Karl Lahrkamp, 36, of Trail, B.C., offered special discounts on his Belgian Malinois pups to buyers with police and military backgrounds. When he died in the crash near Sioux Lookout last week, he was on the run from the Royal Thailand Police for the Feb. 4 gangland-style murder of former B.C. gangster Jimi (Slice) Sandhu in Thailand, the police Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of B.C. (CFSEU-B.C.) confirmed. https://www.therecord.com/ts/news/canada/2022/05/04/fugitive-killed-in-sioux-lookout-plane-crash-was-suspected-international-hit-man-and-dog-breeder.html read another article, said he was possibly paid by being given property in alberta worth $400,000.00 creepy stuff.

2021/22 - CFL Offseason - Non-Back-to-Back Grey Cup Champion Thread

What I would like the league to consider: "The USFL will use sensors in game balls to measure first downs during its inaugural season that kicks off April 16. The sensors will enable “first down measurements that are more accurate than ever,” the league said in a tweet. Referees will not use chains to measure first downs, a departure from the NFL and college football. A broadcast of a USFL pre-season game on Friday included graphics of the league’s first-down system which appeared similar to the line-judging system in tennis that is powered by Hawk-Eye’s ball-tracking cameras. " We all know about how difficult spotting the ball is. -

Canadian Player ratio eliminate. another idea from whoever thinks Cfl should just become a crappy version of nfl. I would definitely be less interested in the cfl without canadian players. -
Maybe the jets would lose to those teams, boston, carolina.... Does not change the fact that kind of hockey is boring as hell. Chasing the puck all over the rink, no passing. tons of contact. not for me.

What are desjarlais' ' chances of making an NFL team, Patriots, or other team? just checked pats drafted three O linemen. One first round, guard. -
Bruins hurricanes was a bad game. Bruins using the broad street bullies style. "playoff hockey" is boring. Last three or four jets games were better.

QuantumScape has announced impressive performance figures for what may be the first commercially viable lithium metal solid state battery. They claim that they can increase the autonomy of an electric car by up to 80%, and it that it can charge from 0 to 80% in just 15 minutes. Dr. Stanley Whittingham, co-inventor of the lithium-ion battery and winner of the 2019 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, stated in that regard that "… the hardest part of making a working solid state battery is the need to simultaneously meet the requirements of high energy density, fast charging, long life cycle, and wide operating temperature range. These data show that QuantumScape cells meet all of these requirements, something that has never been achieved before. If QuantumScape can bring this technology to large-scale production, it has the potential to transform the industry." https://www.thebrighterside.news/post/first-commercially-viable-lithium-metal-solid-state-battery-charges-to-80-in-just-15-minute

"Republicans are coming for the whole panoply of women's rights, LGBTQ rights, and racial equality." https://www.salon.com/2022/05/03/samuel-alitos-leaked-anti-abortion-decision-doesnt-plan-to-stop-at-roe/ ie, the good, old days. I looked up the senate vote on sc of us Judge Roberts.... the leader of this pack. Half of democratic party senators voted to appoint him. Our judicial appointments are political to an extent, but our supreme court is vastly better than these wack jobs.
