That is an exceptionally high degree of selfishness, stupidity, total, lack of any kind of human decency by these two. we knew they were trash, but this takes it to new levels. holy facking crap trump republican party really is a subsidiary of putin russia. " "A Trump appointee on Friday accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of being a "puppet" and said Russia has been too gentle in their attack on Ukraine. In an interview with Fox Business' Stuart Varney, retired Col. Douglas Macgregor — who former President Donald Trump appointed as a senior advisor to the Secretary of Defense — said that there was nothing "heroic" about Zelensky, who has led his country's resistance against invading Russian forces. "The first five days Russian forces I think frankly were too gentle," he said. "They've now corrected that. So, I would say another ten days this should be completely over." Macgregor — who was also tapped by Trump to serve as ambassador to Germany in July 2020 before the nomination stalled in the Senate — said that the war could have "ended days ago" if Zelensky had accepted what the Russians have sought, which he said is a "neutral Ukraine."" business insider being fully exposed now for the filth they are. let's hope that Putin falls, and the full depth of Russian corruption of Republicans Investigated. These people are traitors. Infuriating. Putin himself could not ask for more from rubio.

"Canada’s three northern territories have jointly requested a meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to discuss Arctic security following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.l “Across the three territories we all have concerns,” Cochrane told MLAs in the NWT legislature. “We’ve written a letter to our prime minister to request a meeting with him to discuss Arctic security. “We’ve also requested that Arctic sovereignty be included in our next Council of the Federation meeting, which happens this summer,” she added, referring to a twice-yearly meeting of Canada’s 13 provincial and territorial leaders" https://cabinradio.ca/86924/news/politics/canadas-territories-ask-trudeau-for-meeting-over-arctic-security/ reddit is good.

Man, those Ukrainians are courageous. just amazing. Note: don't piss off Germany: "Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov was sanctioned by the European Union on Monday. Two days later, Forbes has learned from three sources in the yacht industry that one of his prized possessions—the 512-foot yacht Dilbar, valued at nearly $600 million—has been seized by German authorities in the northern city of Hamburg." 😂🤣😂

Once the rocky mountain glaciers are gone, and they are going, the Canadian prairies will have a monster water shortage. amazing that you can go on the comments section of that article and read oil company lies posted by "skeptic" dolts. even oilco has admitted the truth. But their long, expensive campaign of lies was very effective, and continues to cause inaction. thanks for the article, too bad that the ipcc doesnt have a billion dollar PR budget. Story Lost in the rest of the events. "While Canada is the world's third most water-abundant nation, the Prairies - Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba - are prone to both flooding and drought. Their water supply depends on how much snow collects in the Rockies – known as the region's "water towers" - and how quickly it runs off as it melts. But water abundance is a Prairie myth, scientists say. During the second half of this century, most Canadian Rocky glaciers will melt, according to a 2019 study in Water Resources Research. The region's water outlook will be "bleak" long before then, said University of Lethbridge geographer Christopher Hopkins. Warmer temperatures are causing mountain snow and ice to melt earlier in the year, increasing the likelihood of summertime water shortages, according to research published last year in Environmental Reviews. As the climate changes, winter precipitation falls more frequently as rain than snow, leaving less water stored in the mountains, hydrologist John Pomeroy said." https://www.producer.com/news/rocky-mountain-dry-canadas-waning-water-supply-sows-division-in-farm-belt/

very Good article about German sea change due to putinvasion "Each one of these decisions represents something of an earthquake. Taken together, they are a political cataclysm that no one saw coming—not from a novice chancellor known for his caution, not from a coalition of German parties with pacifist roots, and certainly not from a government led by the Social Democrats, with their history of close ties to Russia." https://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2022/03/germany-putin-ukraine-invasion/623322/

Russia is Approaching comical ali level nonsense now. "Putin is “indifferent” to Western sanctions against him, his spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Monday, as he has no assets abroad. “The sanctions contain rather absurd statements about some assets, etc… Everyone knows that President [Putin] doesn’t have any assets, in fact, except for those that are declared every year in the amount of a [car] trailer and an apartment, and some bank deposits,” he said." 🤣

Amazing the way he can turn on a dime and it makes sense to his millions of followers. What absolute dolts.

Horrible fact.... when the soviet union folded, the ukraine had nuclear weapons which they agreed to send to the former soviet union, to make the world safer. current mess would not be happening if they still had them. Course the world need to get rid of all of the nuclear weapons. Headed the other way right now. just read this: 90 %. "In the independence referendum on 1 December 1991, the people of Ukraine expressed deep and widespread support for the Act of Declaration of Independence, with more than 90% voting in favor, and 82% of the electorate participating.[1] The referendum took place on the same day as Ukraine's first direct presidential election; all six presidential candidates supported independence and campaigned for a "yes" vote. The referendum's passage ended any realistic chance of the Soviet Union remaining together even on a limited scale; Ukraine had long been second only to Russia in economic and political power."

I am anti war, but this Putin invasion is making me think about it. Specially with the courage of the people of ukraine. Just watched a javelin video. Point and shoot.

Looks like most ukrainians have had military training. dont know though. The National Guard of Ukraine serve as the main reserve component of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "Following hostilities with Russia, Ukraine increased the size of its armed forces to 204,000 soldiers (+46,000 civil servants) in 2014, not counting additional military forces such as the border guards (53,000), the newly formed National Guard of Ukraine (60,000) or the security service.[10] The current size of Ukraine's armed forces, which consists of 250,000 (215,000 military personnel), is the second largest in the region after the Russian Armed Forces.[11] In 2022, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy ordered to increase the size of the forces by 100,000 by 2025, while ending conscription in 2024. Conscription will be replaced with short-term intensive military training.[12]" not a small military.

Outstanding article. I have read two novels by Vladimir Sorokin..... Brilliant author. Read them start to finish without stopping. Day of the Oprichnik: "Day of the Oprichnik, translated into English by Jamey Gambrell, is no earnest retread of Solzhenitsyn’s One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich, even though Sorokin, a talented mimic of his fellow Russian authors, clearly intends the ironic echo. On the contrary, this short and savage offering puts the “dys” in dystopian in a way few novels bearing that label can claim. It’s an outrageous, salacious, over-the-top tragicomic depiction of an utterly depraved social order whose absolute monarch (referred to only as “His Majesty”) is a blatant conflation of the country’s current president with its ferocious 16th-century absolute monarch known as Ivan Grozny." https://lareviewofbooks.org/article/his-majesty-on-vladimir-sorokins-day-of-the-oprichnik/

Well he discusses that..... "There are two uncomfortable facts here. First, a number of influential people, both in business and in politics, are deeply financially enmeshed with Russian kleptocrats. This is especially true in Britain. Second, it will be hard to go after laundered Russian money without making life harder for all money launderers, wherever they come from — and while Russian plutocrats may be the world champions in that sport, they’re hardly unique: Ultrawealthy people all over the world have money hidden in offshore accounts." Deutsche bank executives losing a bit of sleep at the moment.
