  1. How about this. For years we have been accused of being impatient and getting the coaches fired. Why not give the organization one more chance. Let them prove to us we were wrong. Then if we were not let them pay for the mess left behind. I am a little tired of being blamed for the problems there. Go ahead Miller do your thing but I would expect by the end of next year we would have a real contender on the field or you go back to the jobs you really like.
  2. Fixed for yea.
  3. The Bombers in the past 25 years have had just a streak of plain bad luck. Ask yourself this question: "What are the odds of getting a GM like Taman then a coach like Kelly followed by a GM like Joe Mack then a OC like MM with a QB like Brohm?" The odds are probably a million to one. You lay that on any other team and watch what happens to them. You couldn't buy back luck like that.
  4. What do we gain by keeping MB until the end of the year? This year so far is a continuation of last year and there is nothing that would indicate things will change. Going outside at this time might not work. Wylie or Howell with the help of the other offensive personnel might work. There's no need to implement a 2" play book. Start with what you think will work then adjust to what is available. I'm not a coach but in football like in life you have to be able to recognize situations that don't work and be able to take corrective action. And people around you will assume experience has made you better to do that and will trust you will.
  5. "Why so many penalties?"- answer: loss of focus"Will there be consequnces?" a: Don't you understand, handled internally, non issue, next question. "Will there be a new starting quarterback next week?" a: not going to get into that "What happened in the game?" a: we were doing fine until the penalties. Consider that turd polished. Complete waste of airtime.
  6. MB sucks...but it's hard to blame him for having to gameplan around Brohm as his starter. There isn't a coordinator in the CFL past or present that was going to be able to do anything of value with him, This was Brohm's first game as a starter but this was our tenth game with only three wins to show. Had we been 6-3 it would be acceptable to excuse MB for this last game. I'm not sure all OC's would have tried to run Walker up the gut or have Brohm constantly throw 4-5 yard passes. If MB stays for the season he will take O'Shea with him and around she goes with a new regime.
  7. I had Collaros and Brock Ralph. That suit is mine. Good QB and a receiver that would offer us the option of the Jet Pack
  8. Is there any passing plays where the receivers are not 2 yards at least offside?
  9. Irvin was saying yesterday it's unlikely there will be anything done until the end of the year. He seems to have a pulse on what O'Shea thinks. If that is the case MM might just take O'Shea with him.
  10. Rx: 1 healthy willy used once a week 1 game suspension for stupid guys who keep getting critical penalties. Plenty of rest, drink lots of liquid and see you next week for a follow-up
  11. Bpmber management needs to listen to this post VERY carefully. There are MANY MANY people who feel similarly. When long term, passsionate supporters have been driven to this level of apathy, the Bombers risk far more than one or two seasons of disappointment. They risk the generational bond that is the lifeblood of the season ticket base and future Bombers support. This situation has now reached critical mass. Without an immediate (not in 2 or 3 years) improvement in the on field product and game experience, I predict that there will be a precipitous drop in ticket purchases and overall support. That will translate to empty seats and indifference. After 54 years of season tickets, I am considering NOT going to next Saturday's game and NOT giving away my 3 tickets. My 3 empty seats in the 8th row on the 50 will stand in visible, mute testimony to my unwillingness to sit through any more of the abuse. If more people did the same, perhaps the message will finally get through. I would encourage you to give it the year. If you look at the first half of the game we were giving them all they could handle. Considering we were playing in Regina and were using a QB who has not impressed it was most likely not our day to win. Having said that O'Shea has to find a way of stopping his team from literary giving the game away with very costly penalties. We run a punt back past the 40 only to have to start at the 10. This problem has been killing us going on two years now.
  12. Hey! great idea. We could leave a Rider jersey to fool the cops. Oh, what am I thinking about? They love MB doing his thing here. Stupid penalties killed us but I guess we should be used to that by now. At some point someone will have to become accountable for that kind of behaviour. It has cost us so much this year and it was the same last year. Oh well, There's still next Sunday.
  13. Redblack a bottomless pit of $$ ?
  14. He could make a pretender more of a contender. Hurl to Henoc= +1000%
  15. Once there was a silly old ram Thought he'd punch a hole in a dam No one could make that ram, scram He kept buttin' that dam 'Cause he had high hopes, he had high hopes Oops there goes a billion kilowatt dam
  16. I get the feeling no matter how Brohm plays he's in for the next two games.
  17. You're ready to write Marve off after one start? In a thread earlier this week it was noted that Glenn took three years to develop before he showed positive results, same goes for Durant, Reilly and Burris. You can bet your last dollar that ain't going to happen in Winnipeg.
  18. Sounds like just miserable weather for Sunday. Big winds and rain. So... not good for passing. Evens the field
  19. And at least Bishop was "wildly" entertaining! for good or bad. Anyone remember when he ran into his own OL and knocked himself out? that was awesome! He also made some mind blowing throws! That guy sure could rifle that ball He had what we call a shotgun throw, high muzzle velocity and a good wide pattern.
  20. It should have been specified as a lower body injury. That would have done it.
  21. You know, if you get past the first few days after a loss things don't look so bad. I found once you start into the scotch you should let your DD do the thinking and typing. Mine has no clue about the finer points of getting shellacked on the field.
  22. You can tell he's nervous about Nichols. Look at how much he's sweating while answer questions. So, do you think he's going to show up every and do his best? I sure wish he would have addressed that in all the time he was interviewed. I have to agree there are 12 guys on the team and one was always screwing up. Mostly him I would say.
  23. Ahhh! the old Marve is nicked trick and Gee! I really want to start my bud Brohm?
  24. I hope this news will boost the confidence of the club. Now they can plan Brohm's farewell party.
  25. Does he start next game? Is Brohm shown the door to make room? I'll say this .. if I have to watch Brohm one hop passes again I'll be terribly .. terribly disappointed. To that Mike said:"Out of my cold dead hands". Great move for free. How did Walters do that? HAHA Riders... You lose again. A little premature with that I think. As in getting a qb.
