  1. is this the new Captain Blue?
  2. it's the type of play our defence used to give up at least once a game. Not so much anymore.
  3. The one thing our receivers are going to have to adjust to is the velocity of Streveler's passes vs. Nichols. Streveler's are going to be coming in hot and the receivers need to be ready. We might see some passes go right thru the hands until the receivers can adjust.
  4. The report was older as it was written after his senior year. I started to get concerned with Streveler during training camp where the other QB's out played him during the pre season games. He couldn't move the offense or sustain any drives. Then McGuire came in after 2 weeks working with the playbook and he was able to move the ball, looked composed in the pocket and made some good throws. Lets hope he can get into the right head space and prove that he deserves consideration as the future #1 QB.
  5. Chris Streveler scouting report: I think it confirms all whats good and not so good. The good news is there's lots of room for improvement with the right coaching. FLASH SCOUTING REPORT: Chris Streveler is a player’s QB; one of the guys... strong, thick build... solid frame... still learning the QB position... lacks the nuances of smooth QB, but has come far in last 2 seasons... strong arm... LORD, what a trigger! ... ball is out with flick of the wrist, with steam... rapid delivery using compact motion and high release point... lacks finesse at this point... very shallow reads; 1-n-done... still, makes good on his early reads... worked from shot-gun in a tempo offense... confident and enthusiastic play... pocket presence needs seasoning as he is late to recognize the rush... sets platform quickly but uneven footwork causes uncoordinated throwing motion... platform is good, but fails to drove off back leg for power... arm-thrower... still, ball comes out with fire and in a hurry... accuracy is there but flawed within the window... ball-placement is not his priority, but he hits the receiver’s catch radius accurately and timely... not a shy passer and will give his receivers a chance to “win” the football... deep ball is hit-n-miss, but plenty of distance... could improve downfield juice and accuracy with better footwork from the platform... shows signs of throwing his receivers open rather than waiting for a clean jersey... still, no evidence of fluency on comebacks, back-shoulder throws or fades... Streveler is darn mobile and a dangerous runner... very effective on QB draws, boots and picking up chunky gains from a broken pocket... not a creative runner, but very effective... rushed for over 1500 yards and scored 20 ground TDs combined last 2 seasons... makes a terrific RPO pro prospect but needs quality NFL QB coaching... a good coach can create a winner here using that lightning release and athletic make-up.

  7. You mean some of us on this board don't know a stick about game planning a football game or specific player assignments? You're cray cray 🤐
  8. Thanks...I don't follow the NFL at all. Never watched more than probably 10 minutes of a game.
  9. That was his one stat for the night 🤩 But seriously I'm cheering for him and hope he can string a few wins together.
  10. Interesting but makes sense. Huff is really trying to save cap space for either Singleton or Michel if either or both get cut from their NFL teams. Apparently Arbuckle wasn't throwing at practice yesterday because he was experiencing some shoulder soreness.
  11. until now 😲
  12. "show me the money"
  13. I've always though McGuire had more potential than Streveler. He showed his accuracy as a passer during the pre season and looked quite composed in the pocket. If Nichol's injury keeps him out, I truly hope Streveler succeeds and wins a few for us. If not I hope that McGuire is given a chance to show what he can bring.
  14. You mean the next WBB's starting QB fan favourite.
  15. I heard on the broadcast last night that Sayles blocked 14 punts in College. That's crazy numbers. Also did I hear right. The Bombers offence has not gone offside yet this season?
  16. i feel we lost momentum when the coaches decided to pull Nichols and put Strevler in. Timing was strange.
  17. all im saying is that Streveler had no real role in closing out the game and the game was out of reach by the time he came in.
  18. BC defence had already called "uncle" by then
  19. go check out Strev's stat line
  20. he handed the ball to Augustine
  21. Death, taxes and 66 Chevelle bitching about the Offence
  22. When he did it didn’t turn out that well
