  1. Ok...just confused as you quoted my post in your message.
  2. Wow...I’ve read my post multiple times and I’m confused. I didn’t call out any fans nor did I call anyone “haters”. I just hoped that Nichols would be given some time to get his game back on track. Trust me...I’ve expressed my frustration with many a bomber player. Kerwin bell was the recipient of the most foul tirades from myself. So don’t get to hurt over my post.
  3. They might have demski give it a try. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to groom a guy like simonise.
  4. I never said you need to cheer him. Just don’t need to get on him too early in the game. If he plays a crappy game and it’s in the 2nd quarter. By all means. Fill your boots.
  5. I just hope the fans are fair to Nichols today. We don’t need the boo birds to start chirping if he struggles at the beginning of the game. It won’t do anything to help his game. He needs our support because it sounds like they’ll be a large contingent of rider fans at the game. Who I assume will not be kind to him.
  6. I believe some of you are over estimating the BOD’s influence in the team. Majority of their role is corporate governance and finance oversight. and I don’t see where the wbb football club has been hindered by financial constraints.
  7. WTF do you want him to say? He's the coach and he needs to choose his words carefully. He's not a anonymous fan on a message board where he can spout off and say all kinds of crap. He can't say that Nichols is playing like shyte. His confidence is low enough as it is and doesn't need to pile on. You're a smart guy. You know that.
  8. Exactly...most of these defenders have been playing football for a minimum of 12 - 15 years. They know how to tackle but sometimes the ball carrier makes a good move and they elude the tackle. It happens. Trust me I'm not a Hall fan but man the way the defence played on Sunday. We would have won if the offence could've finished a couple of drives. In the last 3 minutes of the game the offence had 3 chances to score and they laid an egg.
  9. True...but didn't Nichols throw two of those turnovers?
  10. No I disagree. he is an idiot but a good coach who is a great manager. if we don't have a huge lead at half time. I don't have the confidence in our coaches to make the necessary adjustments to win the game or even keep us in the game if we have the lead.
  11. Well I'm responding in the game day thread. So I assumed we were talking about the performance of todays game.
  12. O'Shea will never agree to it. He'd never throw Lapo under the bus. if he did there'd be a few of us who'd be willing to drive that bus. It's interesting how the game has changed. There isn't a QB in the CFL or in the NFL for that matter that still call their own plays. It's just not done anymore.
  13. I know you always like to blame the defence (it's your thing). But the offence had so many opportunities to change the complexion of the game but they failed. I still beleive the defence kept us in the game by continually giving the ball back to the offence but it couldn't capitalize on the opportunities.
  14. No but there's nothing saying he can't or wont turn it around. I'm just saying you don't give up on a proven starter who is far from damaged goods.
  15. Ok...are you 100% comfortable with Streveler as our starting QB next season? Because that's what he's saying as well. Think about it
  16. I was going to ask you the same thing. Take the hate goggles off and then re read your post. I'm no Nicholls fan but to get rid of him and give Streveler the reigns after limited action. It's not the right move.
  17. Yup...it's mind boggling when you think about the situation, time left on the clock and the defence the Riders were playing. The Riders were obviously not worried about the long game today. They made Nichols uncomfortable in the pocket and then gave him the short game when he could find it.
  18. Not sure we do but even so. Unless you have a returner with the speed to get to the outside. It's going to be a bunch of 5 and 10 yard returns. But as long as you don't fumble I guess that's OK.
  19. No...because you don't get rid of a experienced starting QB for a QB who has won 1 game.
  20. That's about as stupid as trading 2 first round draft picks for Johnny Manziel.
  21. Hall's defence gave us an opportunity to win the game. It was our offence who couldn't convert opportunities in to majors. I was satisfied with the defence today.
  22. I know O'Shea is all about catching the ball and run up field on special teams. But I long for the days when we had a dedicated speed demon that was an actual threat to take one to the house. None of our returners put the fear of god in to anybody. It's a important aspect of the game which can flip the field for the return team.
  23. You're right. In the CFL you can go on a run post labour day and still get a home playoff game. But why do I feel like I'm in a some "Groundhog Day" scenario where we have the highest of hopes for the season and then the same weak links appear and the results are the same. Regardless of our record at the end of the season. Miller needs to do an indepth review of the entire football operations group and force changes where needed. Don't leave the decisions in the hands of Walters or O'Shea. Miller didn't build a successful career by keeping with the status quo. If Danny Mac or Richie Hall need to go. Make the call and move on. I remember a boss of mine who I admired and tried to emulate. he always said that when you lose an employee it's not a loss, it's an opportunity to hire someone even better. He embodied the term "everyone is replaceable".
  24. Scouting has been an issue since Danny Mac has taken over the scouting operation. I was hoping the addition of Ted Goviea would show dividends but so far there's nothing substantial. The proof in the pudding is who is the last player the Bombers found that has jumped ship to the NFL? The Bomber teams of the past would lose players to the NFL all the time. Now...nothing.
  25. That's your head scratcher? There isn't a coach out there that would base their roster decision on the possibility of a player getting injured. If that's your "head scratcher" than that's a stretch.
