I don't get it. Yesterday he makes the team and now he's released. Did he ask for his release? Or is it too expensive to keep two kickers? unfortunate though.

Hardaway isn't doing his client any favours. Muamba's MO is to get the most money but after year 1 he gets released after the team realizes they just can't justify paying him that much. Is this truly the best for Muamba? I said previously is this thread that yes Muamba's a good player but he's not an impact player like Harris. So for the team to pay him more than Harris is ludicrous.

I said something very similar to this a couple of weeks ago and was vilified by some. Maybe now we can discuss something other than Henoc Muamba.

Andrew Harris is animpact player. Mumba hasn’t been since he returned from the nfl. If he was that good, he wouldn’t be released every year.

So what’s he worth? I’d hate to see the wbb’s pay too much for him and you’d think he’d learn. When you’re overpaid you usually get released after 1 season. Accept a more cap friendly contract and you might stay on the same team for a couple of seasons or more. He obviously over values himself. Would we be happy if they signed him for $200,000? I wouldn’t.

Yes but he’s done this more than once and quite frankly it’s getting old and annoying. I’m almost at a point of saying “is he really worth it”? Maybe he just wants the free meals and spend a few days in the peg in the middle of winter before he makes his decision.. whatever floats your boat!

Many police services in Canada aren't laying charges for possession . Unless the person has a record for same, there's a secondary charge or the person is an ass and gives them a hard time. Hmmmmm...I wonder which one it was

This should improve his standing on the team. Duron Carter is facing a marijuana possession charge. Court records show Carter was arrested Feb. 1 in Saskatoon. He has since been released from custody and is scheduled to make his first appearance March 27 in Saskatoon Provincial Court. Carter, 26, was named the Riders’ most outstanding player for the 2016-17 CFL season, amassing 73 catches for 1,043 yards and eight touchdowns in 17 starts at wide receiver. He also started one game as a defensive back, in which he picked up nine tackles and an interception which he ran back 43 yards for a touchdown. By the end of the season he was named both a CFL all-star and a West Division all-star. Carter signed a one-year extension with the Riders on Jan. 22.

So what's the story with Westerman? I haven't seen anywhere that he's re upped for 2018. Has he become too expensive? Anyone have some intel?

IIRC (I have the worst memory of any human being) the first family member that graced OB was the mother of a player. I think he was a defensive lineman. I think Graham was his first or last name. He didn't last long and of course the family member usually disappears as soon as the player leaves.

Its interesting that all the free agents signed since the end of the season have been on offence or special teams. Not one defensive player. Does it mean anything? Are the players waiting to see who the DC will be? Hall or someone else? or is the team looking to make wholesale changes on defence?

I'm still behind the current regime as I believe it has the goods to get us to the ultimate prize. However, I strongly believe the weak link is on the GM and recruiting side. MOS is a good coach and will just keep getting better. In this business, if you can't recruit a #1 receiver and LB'er. Then you don't deserve to be in the business. The NCAA graduates 100's of receivers every year and we can't find a couple game breakers. It's time Wade Miller puts his foot down and forces Walter's hand to dump the current scouting department and retool with proven scouts. I know Miller and yesterdays loss will not sit well with him. He knows how to build a successful business and trust me. He doesn't suffer fools lightly.

Our defence played all right at the beginning of the season. They weren't lights out but they played well enough. However, these last 12 games have been an absolute **** show. The difference? I can't put my finger on it but my guess is that other teams figured it out but Hall is too useless to make the necessary adjustments.

I said the same thing. At least we have a QB and a pretty good offence. Just need another couple of receivers. On defence, well that's what has me confused. I felt that we had the horses on defence other than a LB or two. But now I cant tell if it's coaching or the players that are screwing up?

In your opinion when will Pierce be ready? I see no reason why Pierce isn't ready to make the next step to OC. He's ready and I believe an excellent choice.
