Right now I'll be happy with a QB that is effective 17 of the 20 week CFL season. That would be a HUGE improvement from what we've had over the past 5 - 6 years.

I have no problem with the Carter 1 game suspension. It's really more like a 2 game suspension as he was DQ'd fairly early in the game. I understand why they fined Campbell. But if they're fining him because he went on the field. Then I expect that the refs to penalize every coach who walks on the field after the play is whistled dead. The CFL needs to come clean on the reason behind the Campbell fine.

Willy was our least effective QB in the preseason and it hasn't changed once the season started. He continues to lock in on his primary receiver and can't seem to adjust and use his other receivers. Kevin Glenn and Henry Burris are masters of making something out of nothing. Willy gets happy feet as soon as he sees the pocket start to break down. Can he be taught or is this an inane trait of a good QB? If it's the latter. Then the team has to start looking for a new starting QB.

That was part of Osh's excuse about the clock mismanagement on the last play of the 1st half. He said that they thought Harris got out of bounds and that the clock wouldn't start until the snap of the ball. However, the ref was quite clear in his call that Harris didn't get out of bounds on the play. However, the coaches on the sidelines or the spotters up stairs must be communicating with Osh and letting him know. I wont lay the blame solely on Osh as there are half a dozen other coaches that need to be aware of whats going on.

Actually Harris didn't get out of bounds before he was brought down. That was a huge mistake or a great play by the Stamps defender.

it's uncanny but I can't see any noticeable difference between Lapos and Bellefeuilles offence from last year.

The only injury I read about was Corney going out sometime in the 4th Q.

This is why I don't go to games when the Bombers visit Calgary. I'll go again when the team is competitive and actually have a chance at leaving with two points. I know from personal experience that Wade Miller doesn't take fools lightly. If he sees that O'Shea has lost the room. He wont be around for long. Wade is extremely sharp and he knows the dynamics of a locker room.

I cant be sure that we had a timeout left. Didn't we lose it on the failed challenge? I questioned the same thing though.

But he wouldn't be a 2nd stringer with the Bombers I know what you're saying but I think he's a good option and it would be nice to see a QB with an intense competitive nature.

Osh explained that last night in his post game interview. He said they practice that same scenario and have been able to get off 2 plays without a problem. However, Willy didn't get the ball snapped at the whistle ( I saw 4 seconds go off the clock before he called for the ball) and the play called which was a quick out to the sidelines was missed. So Willy improvised but instead of throwing the ball away. He passed of to in the middle of the field and there was no way he could have got out of bounds before the time expired. So not Osh's or any of the coaches fault.

I'd like to see if we could pry Tate from Calgary. That guys a competitor and a good qb at that. And before you guys start shitting all over this idea. Remember many here didn't want Reilly or Burris. I wonder where this team would be with either of those guys ? I don't think we can judge the defence yet as they've got no help from the offence.
