  1. That may be true but if he gets results and they start winning, the fans will love him. He has a .444 winning percentage as a head coach. It's not likely.
  2. I'd take Popp here in a heartbeat, Montreal has been a powerhouse for how many years? Like him or not the guy wins. How's that been going since AC retired?
  3. Popp is just showing everyone that he's in charge and you better watch out. The guys a pompous prick and I believe will run that team in to the ground with his massive ego.
  4. I don't hold out much hope of signing Muamba. Not because we wont be competitive with our offer. But I believe he'll give strong consideration to the eastern based teams so he could play closer to family. I hope I'm wrong but I just have a gut feeling that I'm right. Note to Iso...If Walter's isn't successful. It also means that 7 other GM's couldn't get it done either. So give up on your personal vendetta against the guy.
  5. I have no problems with the changes but I must say Veltung must be screwing up big time to lose his spot to a newbie. You cant tell watching the games on TV but maybe he's not running his routes hard enough or still running the wrong routes. Interested to see Willie on the field. Maybe he can stretch the defence a bit.
  6. The OP is not a WBB fan. He's a Rider fan in disguise (albeit a bad one) trolling. I probably shouldn't use such big words. Do they have dictionary's in Saskatchewan? If so, would they know how to use it?
  7. It's never hard to mock the Rider faithful ... I think I'm in love
  8. edited…. too negative. Quel surprise :P
  9. I'm not sure how many of you watched Anthony Calvillo's early CFL career. But he was brutal for a few years and I was surprised that he stayed employed in the league during that time. And then all of a sudden the light went off and he was the future Hall of Famer. My point is that if AC played for the WBB's. We'd be having the same discussion and many would say he sucks and should be cut. I'm not comparing Marve to AC but I think some of you might be jumping the gun and dumping on him before he's had a chance to prove himself either way.
  10. Holly overreaction Batman. Walker was brought in for depth and for his CFL experience. If Marshall goes done it will be nice to have at least 1 experienced back. You guys make me laugh, or is it cry.
  11. I anticipate a steady dose of Messam in the LDC. It could get ugly.
  12. From what you've seen with Marve, with coaching and reps, does he have the talent to be a legitimate CFL QB? Too soon to tell. He needs more game reps. But if we remember Reilly's first year with the Esks. Most wouldn't have expected much more out of him. Is this a joke? Reilly threw for 4000 yards that year. No...I don't think so. Reilly had some absolutely horrible games and he played behind a porous O-line. All I'm saying is that many on here are writing Marve off after 2 games. Its exactly this short sightedness by fans that makes it difficult to develop QB's. And yes I'm still not laughing. Seem hardly comparable to me. Like apples to the planet Mars. I remember a few years ago when Reilly was rumoured to be available and we were in the midst of the Buck Pierce saga. I was very high on him but many on here thought he was a flash in the pan. All I'm saying is that we need more time to make the decision.

  14. C'mon O'Shea make it so,. Stop being so stubborn and dump MB.

  16. Damn...it's going to be more difficult to hate the Riders now that Dyce is the interim HC. :o
  17. To bad Walters couldn't fleece Taman for their 1st rd draft pick before he was booted.
  18. as per Arash Madani...Chamblin and Taman were fired.
  19. Oh crap...I read the title and got all excited and then found out it was conjecture.
  20. What I'm suggesting is that Wade is partially to blame for the Bellefeuille disaster. Wade is to blame for the entire mess. He hired Walters. Walters hired our useless scouts & Mike O'Shea. Iso...you starting to sound more and more like Nasty Nate. All you have to do is start using those crazy nicknames and you're there.
  21. If they fire MOS, they'd give the HC job to Hall or maybe Benevides. No to both of them. God please no.
  22. Remember the games against Sask last year when they would start running the ball? Everyone knew what was coming and there was absolutely nothing we could do to stop them running the ball down our throat. Calgary did the same to Sask the game before this one. If your backs are good and your oline can block there isn't much a team can do to stop a run-based O. It doesn't help when your OC doesn't believe that a running game is important to a balanced offence.
  23. I could do that too if I never threw a pass further than 5 yards downfield and took 5 sacks. All I'm saying is that in the 1st half he was moving the ball but we couldn't capitalize in the red zone. That I lay squarely on the OC.
  24. I don't know if Marve will ever be a starter in this league but do you not think we might be giving up on him a little too soon? Wasn't he something like 11/12 at the half? At least that's what I thought I saw on TSN.
  25. I think that's a bit of an over-reaction, generally other than a few positions like MLB, backup QB and overall O-Line strength I believe the Bombers have the personnel in place to compete with any team. Moving Bass to MLB and allowing a rotation of Hurl, Sherman and Newman at OLB would show an immediate improvement in the D imo. While the other two areas are more difficult to fix I think adding an extra import on the O-line would be a rational move to make at this point. We brought in someone to play MLB so why not play him there? We could not play him yesterday because we used four import receivers but between Veltung and Gordon they caught one pass between them. Our Canadians would have done no worst. They killed us with curl ins because the middle was a free spot. Bass should be playing MLB as he's strong, fast & a tackling machine. Hurl should be moved outside where he would be more effective. More like outside the stadium. We don't need him on defence.
