  1. very well done as always Hurl wants to make me hurl when was the last time the WBB's used the ground game to kill the clock? The Riders may want to sit Durant the next time we play them still a problem with our run defence but hopefully the LB's gel as the season goes on Drew Willy is a very capable QB if given the time in the pocket those two kick offs out of bounds could have cost us the game did JFG or Bastien play tonite? If you're not going to use them, we may as well start another import receiver
  2. You don't want to have a boom boom in the bede.
  3. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Hmmmm...I thought he went on the Riders PR. If not I'd like to see the Bombers bring him in but not sure there's a spot for him right now. We do seem to have enough National receivers.
  5. I read that and the hair on the back of my neck stood up. Why cant we find that again?
  6. I just hope Hurl isn't given too much free rope. I know O'Shea and Hall think the world of this guy but if he cant cut it. We need to find someone who can. We don't need a 2015 version of EJ Kuale.
  7. Kackert was the Argos strength and conditioning coach last year. I assumed he retired at the end of last season. I always liked his play. I likened him to a bowling ball. The type of player the Bombers need.
  8. I assume he's going on the PR or back to school maybe.
  9. Gary's left his NHL brain on. Doubt it. Looks like Neufeld was put on the 6 game IR.
  10. Patrick Neufeld on the 6 game IR. I don't think I'll ever see him play another game as a WBB. Taman got us this time.
  11. Looking at the roster I think we need to pick up another RB. What about that Tosten guy? He seemed pretty decent.
  12. MorningBigBlue @MorningBigBlue More cuts coming out: R Ja-mes Logan, DB Dominique Franks ... Worth noting: it doesn't look like Jordan Yantz got cut (yet) MorningBigBlue @MorningBigBlue Notable cuts: DB Shaq Richardson, QB Josh Portis, DL Ivan Brown, P Anthony Santella
  13. Portis is cut
  14. Odds and sods is back! Only means one thing. Football is back! D o D...it's great to have you back and look forward to the insight. I just hope that the team gives us something to be positive about. Odds and sods is better after a victory.
  15. I don't know who will get cut but what I do think is that some of the new talent our supposedly improved scouting dept brought in didn't seem to live up to their hype. Where's this years diamond in the rough? Is our receiving group better than last year? Do we have a faster LB'ing corps? Where is that explosive thunder like rb? Where's that American hard nosed tackle that we so desperately need? Yes injuries have proven troublesome but even with that. I'm not that impressed with the outcome from camp. I just hope that those that stick around and get paid to play football. Will give us all they got and more.
  16. Brohm fits the Bombers offense better than Marve. Marve struggles from the pocket. Maybe that's the problem, Not so much the player
  17. I know its preseason and it's the Als. But do the Argos even need Ricky Ray?
  18. I don't like it when a player gets injured due to a hard (legal) hit and the defensive player is boasting like an idiot.
  19. It is possible that their plan @ #4 has been Jordan Yantz all along and that the battle for a QB position has been between Marve and Portis. That's a possibility I guess. It appears that Janz will dress on Friday night. With Willie getting the first half, that leaves little time for the others to battle it out, and virtually no time for Janz. I'm thinking if he doesn't play, then he will either be cut or put on the PR if there's room.Aside from assigning him a different name to throw off the opposing teams, I can see the Bombers following the traditional path and releasing the Canadian QB (Yantz) because...well what's the point, right? But the Bombers and Walters/O'Shea are working a little differently than others we've seen and I can dare to dream. You know I feel that these guys are different. My daughter used to work in the stadium kitchen and O'Shea asked her how the players treated her at the buffet lines. He explained to her that how the players treat staff tells a lot about players. (my daughter says that eating meat is usually on the players mind). The previous coach she never saw. That's a really neat story, for sure...and shows a lot about MOS. On the other end of the spectrum, I've heard of at least one business-side staffer who's quit because of Wade, fwiw.... Meh...that happens in all businesses. In many instances there's turnover when you have a changeover in management. Usually it's a case of staff that were extremely loyal to the previous regime and have a hard time accepting the changes implemented by the new regime. And I think we can all agree that changes were needed on both sides of the organization. I read absolutely nothing into that. I remember a company that I was working with and there was a complete changeover in senior management (CEO/CFO/VP Bus Development and VP Admin). All employees were interviewed soon after the changeover and were asked one question "Do you believe that this company was well run and is moving in the right direction" All employees who answered "Yes" were let go. It caused short term issues but in the end all the employees that were kept, were 100% onside with the new direction the company was moving towards.
  20. Highly unlikely. it's like a dog with a bone :D
  21. Stampeders are said to be close to signing recently released Brown from BC
  22. The Stamps have released Jock Sanders. I wouldn't mind if we brought him in to cover for kick returns while Stoudemire is out.
  23. Aaron Kelly was released by the Argos today.
  24. What surprised me last night is we didn't attempt more 2 point converts. I would have thought it would have been a good opportunity to practise it.
