  1. Man I can't believe how many conspiracy theorists we have on this board. It's quite simple. Grigsby didn't want to back up and he asked for his release. Osh gave it some thought and said to himself, "don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out". He then asked for access card and wished him well. Why do you guys need to see it for more than it is?
  2. Marve looked like Burris out there. Eluding tackles and throwing on the run
  3. The Cats don't have the best o-line but it's definitely better that ours. So maybe we'll see if Grigsby's for real or not.
  4. You could see this one coming from a mile away. Many of us were discussing his tweets in the chat room during the game and commented that he's thrown his teammates under the bus and wondering what the consequences would be. Well I guess we now know. Twitter...the undoing of many professional athletes.
  5. Just some food for thought. What about Gene Dalquist the current QB coach as a possible OC candidate? His seems to have had some good success as a OC in the NCAA.
  6. I have mixed feelings about it. Sure you can hire a guy like Gary Crowton but quite frankly, I think his undoing was more that he couldn't evolve vs. his lack of CFL experience. We all ***** about the recycling of CFL coaches and coordinators. So I'm open to the prospect of scouring the US for a guy that understands football but more importantly has the right attitude and is willing to evolve with the game. Because when I read thru all the guys that many of you are recommending as replacements and quite frankly none of them are getting me too excited. Thoughts?
  7. I wasn't happy when MOS hired Etch in the first place so I don't feel like I'm just hopping on the "fire Etch" bandwagon. No one in the CFL would hire Etch so he goes and takes a job in the CIS. Where he was subsequently fired. If that wasn't a big "red flag". I don't know what is. MOS was so set on hiring a DC with past CFL experience, his hand was forced to hire Etch vs. looking for a young guy who's defensive schemes are more conventional
  8. Sounds like they're going to load up on as many offensive players as possible. Woods should be playing with a bit of a chip on his shoulder. So it could be fun to watch.
  9. So do the Riders save their best games for when they play us? I'm sorry, I can't cheer for the Riders no matter how it might benefit our playoff chances. Ain't gonna happen. Watching them lose just puts the biggest smile on my face and it's almost better than watching my WBB's win.
  10. I like how they're using Woodson today. Versatile player that can play receiver and RB. Would have looked good in Blue & Gold.
  11. Can you please provide a link to this? Can't find it anywhere including the Wpg. Sun. http://www.winnipegsun.com/2014/09/30/bombers-qb-willy-hopes-to-face-redblacks-friday
  12. Not to derail this thread but who is this dead weight you're referring to?
  13. According to the Winnipeg Sun. McGuffie will take over some of the return duties. Reminds me of last season and Aaron Woods injury.
  14. The men in the tinfoil hats would surmise that the CFL needs the eastern teams to win and they must have blocked the communication channel that the WBB's were using ensuring that the call couldn't be communicated from MB to Willy. There's really no other explanation.
  15. This makes a lot more sense than Burris. I'm a big fan of Matt Nichols and I think he'll do quite well behind a strong Rider O-line.
  16. Very true but I just can't see Miller caving in to the pressure by the media.
  17. I've also noticed that Kohlert has gone quiet and I can't tell if it's because he's not getting open or not thrown to. Also we need to find a way to get Watson and JFG more balls. Relying on Denmark and Kelly is limiting the effectiveness of the offence. If you look at BLM, Ricky Ray and Durant. Their offences are most effective when they utilize all their targets.
  18. We have a starting QB and that's the key piece that we've been missing for many years. And it gives me hope that Willy will just get better and better as he gains more experience. Now it's up to the scouting staff o out and improve the supporting cast. And if that means we go out and over pay for a couple of premium free agents. Then that's what we have to do.
  19. The ball wasn't catchable so how could they call PI. Even if he hadn't held the jersey, the ball wouldn't have been catchable. I've seen PI calls before when the pass non catchable. The defender didn't allow the receiver to make his cut towards the ball.
  20. I'm still pissed at the contacting the kicker penalty. But then again we don't wear green jerseys so the refs wont look the other way. Total bullshit call as the contact if any was minimal and secondly he was directed in to the kicker by one of the personal protectors. .
  21. On a review, the play is reviewed by the officials in the Command Centre. Not the on field officials. The officials in Toronto couldn't see the feed, just like us that were watching it on TV.
  22. I'm more pissed at the contacting the kicker penalty and the non PI call on the last play. The Ticats defender had a hold of the receivers jersey.
  23. Honestly, the biggest WTF this game was "we can't review due to technical difficulties with the command centre". WTF was that about. THAT IS BUSH LEAGUE STUFF. The Command Centre uses the same TSN feed for reviews. So without the TSN feed to review. They couldn't review it. It's quite simple actually. thats very bush league then to be relying on the tsn feed, why bother going to the command centre then, why not go up to black and forde to make the call then. The play is under review by the tsn announcers is what they should be saying then. I'm not sure what you want them to do? It's the same in the NFL. The reviews are made based on the different camera angles provided by the broadcasting network. Otherwise the league would have to use their own cameras and that would never happen. This is the first time it's happened in history of league reviews. Not bad if you ask me. why couldn't they just use the replay from the in house feed, it was showed on the jumbo tron, for a situation that rarely to never happens, why not have a back up plan in case it does. I'd bet the NFL has a backup plan. Doubt you'd heard them say "technical difficulties".How the hell were they supposed to transmit the freakin feed to the Command Centre when they couldn't transmit the feed out of the stadium. FYI - the house feed is provided by TSN. I'm glad somebody gets it

  25. we lost because it took our offence 55 minutes to get a score and some poorly timed penalties. This loss can't be blamed on one or two players. I wont blame the ST's as we had lots of time to come back from their mistakes.
