Desjardins is looking like a rocket scientist right now. He makes a play on Burris but still has Glenn as a strong #2 or worst case scenario he has a valuable asset to trade and obtain a player that might fill a current gap or obtain another draft pick. I'm not sure this organization can afford another 2 - 3 years of below average performance. So when a QB like the caliber of Henry Burris comes on the market. You must make a serious play as the Bombers are the only team without a proven starting QB.

well geography might work in or favour with Hank. I believe he calls Calgary his home in the off season. Winnipeg would be 2 hours closer by plane than Mtl.

I can't see Tsoumpas leaving the Stamps. But the bigger question with him is his concussion. The Stamps were hoping he'd return last season but he had a set back when he attempted to start light work outs. That's the only reason he might leave is if Huf thinks his injury situation might be an ongoing thing.

Bellefeuille is not my first choice but honestly last year was not a fair indication of his abilities as an OC. I don't care who our OC was last year, with Pierce, Hall, Goltz and a porous O-line. Even Dave Dickinson wouldn't have been able to get that offence performing at a high level. O'Shea must have seen something there and I trust that he's not settling with MB. Let's give MB a full training camp and let him institute his own offence. Oh and get him a QB that can play.

Iso is correct to some extent but I'll limit my knowledge to what I hear on Calgary sports radio specifically the Fan 960 and from the television media. Part of it is due to Arash Madani and the fact they seem to go to him for everything CFL. And of course we know what Arash thinks of the WBB's. The TV media is similar to radio and will talk about the WBB's as the doormat and a dysfunctional organization. The Fan has a radio personality (one of their best) who hails from Manitoba and even he has given up defending the WBB's but sticks up for the Jets anytime and everytime he can. But hey, as the saying goes "respect is earned". The WBB's just need to start winning again and the respect will return. It's as simple as that.

I would hate to loose Kohlert but he's on an expiring contract, isn't he? I would hope he has a contract in front of him right now just in case he doesn't get picked by the REDBLACKS.

Good luck to him in his future career in law enforcement. Yes he was under appreciated and was put in to a starting position just because we had to due to the ratio and lack of NI talent.

Arash Madani was on the Fan 960 today and was commenting on the current trend in the CFL of hiring first time head coaches vs. the past history of recycling. He pointed out that all the new hires this year will be newbie head coaches. He personally thought it was great for the league and of course all the up and coming coaching talent in the CFL that are waiting for their chance.

I think this is a good move. O'Shea wants teachers not tyrants. I believe Khari will better relate to the players than Cortez and Marcel Bellefeuille just didn't impress me in the time he was here.

I wonder if Khari will relocate his family back to Winnipeg. I believe they're still living in Calgary.

Calgary will probably promote Mark Kilam to DC. He's been their STC for a few years but was also their asst DC with the team and LB's coach. He's very well regarded within the organization.

I like Rick Campbell and I think is a good choice. I'm sure they're hoping he brings that "Midas Touch" his father had.
