  1. Or Barrin....Battle...West...heck even prime healthy Wilson....he's great rotational/depth/won't kill ya in spot starts guy...but a lot of his stats are misleading Much like some the dine guys "lack" of stats are in the grand scheme.....as their lack allows others to eat.....and then there are guys who dont rack up stats....their lack of stats isn't freeing up others...and serve zero purpose
  2. Prob not much in level...and prob will not be playing full bore so whats the point.. especially 3 weeks into a hammy issue...recipe for disaster and then you down a key guy and seeing ad our depth and roster config has been butt awful..we likely have no legit backup
  3. Jones is good/adequate....but that position you want elite and game changing if you don't have that elsewhere on defence...tho I think Woodbey could be our Winton McManus type guy....if he doesnt get poached for an NFL camp which I bet is quite likely....and another full camp next yr...an 18 games...I smell an All-Star there My issues with Jones given his age and league experience is he still makes same mistakes....has glaring flaws have not got better...so is what he is...the Perfect DA guy who can start if need be...take lotsa reps in a suuprt role and if is your depth guy...then your starting unit has to be pretty dame good Smith as well can easily take a starting role...as a pure rookie looked more than capable and if he had gotten use all yr...who knows where he's be at...if anything we as a team would know where he was at and if he was an actual viable option and you could work your off-season accordingly....this where we falter because Osh doesn't allow young guys to get that development....you don't get it in practice
  4. If we were smart and Demski cant go...and I said already I'd be shocked if he was healthy enough (but when has that stopped Osh before neutering our roster) the smart move is to go with 4 import receivers....and I'd roll with Echols as he is experienced....is also a returner so if Vaval gets hurt...or has to go in on defense because lord help us someone else gets hurt h gives us some coverage there....Being rigid and lacking any sense in retaining the ratio as is with 6 Cdn on offence and 1 on defense is just more of the standard effing ourselves once again in playoffs with roster issues and use of assets We be just fine on defence having to have 2 on the field any given time as we do that anyway....Lawson...Kramdi...Smith who showed he can play...Bailey who showed the same...heck lets utilize the Nationalized Amerk rule and use those snaps to further help ourselves and limit how many times we have to watch Thomas out there doing squat....But sadly I am sure we will run out Corcorran and Cobb combo (hopefully just Cobb) if we go that route cause that's just the Oshea way....brain dead thought process.....and does nothing to help ZC with the offense...and lord knows he gonna need all the extra lil help and tweaks we can give him All that being said...I fully expect to see Demski out there...limited in what he can do...be a non-factor and just make things even harder for ZC.....And truthfully...why wouldn't I or anyone else expect otherwise?....the past 3 seasons are pretty good indicator to what we can expect....until proven wrong.
  5. we've also seen pretty much every new young guy that finally got to play...played well and acrually made a difference...so talent was/is being brought in...and who knows what other tlent we cut loose could have done the same if not discarded for some of the same ol same ol crap we rostered all yr....or several yrs...so there is that angle too, and it's owned 100% by Osh....as his his refusal to not play injured guys who hindered the overall team....and thats happened for yrs here Fact of the matter...I wouldn't shed a tear of be worried in the least if both were not brought back....and we'd be just fine... We re-upped both prior to the Grey Cup last time they finished out the season with them on expiring deals....so if we flop again and actually dont get there.....is that the signal Miller uses for his new direction at the top 2 spots below him and decides it' time?...Possible....I not 100% sold that even if we do back our way in...that it's a given ....guess we shall see
  6. My take is we (Walters/Miller) allowed Osh to have too much say and input in to what we felt was needed an who we wanted to keep (that should not have) and has got us to where we are. That needs to change going forward if either or both are to stay, and the G.M has to not be the HC buddy...but his Boss and he and his team will bring in the best players they can scrounge up, as well determine who will/and will not be back and the HC works within those parameters....like a typical organization does...
  7. well past success aside...recent issues ongoing...we need change now anyway, all things come to an end so hopefully both are not back ....we be just fine
  8. I don't follow basketball...all I recall is he won a lot...and when it mattered...no? Correct me if a wrong ...but i will also say id rather go 9-9..8-9...and win the championship than have a reg season high win total and neglect your depth and grind your guys into a nub when you could have let backups play and get exposed and lose in the big game...repeatedly
  9. A g.m that's in media lots during season...is a season and team in total free fall
  10. De up here..and dt...easiest to just drop a new guy in and be relatively seamless from u.s to Canadian game...translates easiest even with the 1 yard off ball Yeah...always said we don't utilize guys properly...and i have some unease too...and by that I mean in regards to Osh crippling us with a bad roster...my hope he has learned from the past..lord knows he has had 3 good seasons now worth of learning...but that being said if we bow out with nary a whimper its gonna be due to coaching and coaching decisions...not so much talent...well "healthy" talent i should say...hope im wrong
  11. yeah that was him...super motor and multi faceted skill set for dline
  12. yeah...u can see it oozing out of him and how he doing his best to hide it....and behind closed doors and away from cameras he still goes off like a freakshow assbag
  13. Thomas and Korney would be ugly...and real bad...If Woods cant go and Adams isnt used thats just as dumb as dumb can be.....I'd rather they just dress Jaworksi then and roll with him...Jenkins...WJ...Vaughters and Bailey The fact we dont have to even use a CDN on dline for ratio especially now knowing Smith can take reps on defence and not hurt us we are more than capable of making ratio with one o Baoley or Smith or Kramdi on field at any given time That being said too....if Clercius or Demski can't go....that ratio of 5 on offence and 2 on defense we could easily start one of Echols...heck or even Mitchell over Corcorran also would be the smarter move...Corcorran shouldnt even be on roster seeing what Cobb can do
  14. No clue?...Generally they don't until the teams involved are decided and tickets will be expressly held for that very purpose. 14 straight sell-outs here are a pretty good ondicator it will be if not already is with "available" tickets for the public Call the Club if you are curious
  15. For real?? Wtf...creepy Jam packed as usual lol
  16. Yeah...I not really concerned with the defense...they showed all yr they can be really good...and as we seen with proper use of guys...more than really good Offense tho...ooooeee...Oc guy is our weakness there...hopefully Osh has the sense to lean on Jackson a bit more and maybe have more say in the gameplan...and if he hurts lil oc guy feelings oh well... Gotta keep ZC clean and minimize risk of him getting smacked around...so if its a quick hitter game..lotsa run type plays like we saw vs Hamilton...that go a long way in how successful we are..I'm quite concerned with Demski tho..and if he not legit 100 percent he shouldn't be playing with a hammy issue...past history makes me cringe we dress a gimp...and then just handcuff ourselves
  17. We can IR them on 1 game can we not? And yeah we must have cap room with schoen..makonzo..Logan all off books extended time... Wonder if we see Smith get a good amount of reps again...he played very well...and the more reps...the better and quicker the development.. Ayers too...got to actually play his natural position and made plays..sucks it took Osh 18 games to get guys reps..
  18. yeah....infrastructure wise they are lacking on several levels....and doesnt make for a great experience....plus it's Regina...the best thing to ever come out of that place was KickAxe
  19. I agree...as much as I like Person and believe he gonna be good....Jenkins is more CFL ready...that being said him...Jenkins and Jaworski will all be solid guys for tc next yr and all could be on the roster in my opinion He showed polished technique and ability already....the one where he faked a bullrush and with speed and agility cur underneath the tackle and came fee for a shot on the QB...you dont see that oftem....especially out of a rookie...he's got some serious chops Bailey as well...he showed power moves...was wicked fast off the edge...and he got clean shots on Q.B onmore than one occasion....and as we saw....is more than capable on ST's....we need some speed/power guys....and that in itself may get our Gray beards on end to play with more spunk
  20. Dumping Thomas for Bailey would make us a better team if Osh doesnt want to drop one of Ball or Corcorran who do nothing for us really ...Cobb has way more value than Corcorran and we have big bodies in MCI and Clercius to use in a blocker role that they put Corcorran out there for...and is not good at...so him on roster is a waste...Dress Vibert again...hate to have 2 lineman go down in a playoff game and then have to have JT sucking on the oline too
  21. yup...fresh legs too at the right time....He offers us a nice combo of what we been lacking...Same can be aid for Bailey as well...he showed a lot...and offers valuable defensive reps to keep the old farts fresher...and can play teams...and...he's fresh too I also am worried he plays a not ready Demski as well...cause I not sure he gonna be totally healthy and with a hammy...one lil tweak again and he's done....with how Smith played on defence...Lawson...Kramdi likely back..we can delegate 2 Canadians for atria on defence and technically not have to have 2 Canadian receivers.....we seen how this dance has gone before playing not healthy recievers in playoffs and it screwed us royally Run out a Wheatfall...Echols...Pokey..Clercius...Stearns unit ...heavy use of BO and sprinkle in some dual backfield sets with Peterson...even MCI and trust in them to get to the EF with a "healthier" Demski
  22. emanates down from Maas....
  23. well firstly on the QB and where the RB is...or motion he showing....you dont know where ball is...or likely to go...bull rushing straight ahead with does you no real good, especially if the lineman just engages you and lets you do it knowing that it will be ineffective A lot of Jakes problems is he has zero technical skill....hand fighting skills....and cant get off a block to make a play...just last game alone look how many times Woods was engaged and fought off the block to make the play...get in on making it with others, or just disrupting it...Lawson too...Lawson camm bull rush then toss away his lineman and make a play...Jake cant....for yrs now if ever
  24. meh....not really....maybe studying scheme and responsibility but tht's also on the player to have his nose in playbook and know his role on a play, and to recognize when to pick up the extra guy or free guy I am sure BO is in his ear more telling him and showing him that in practice and film work...as AH did for him You get better playing and putting that knowledge to use...not running skelly or being scout RB mimicking the other teams systems
  25. crap weather definitely would benefit us....that being said Scott can be a real work horse and problem on the ground if we see lots of Jake inside...need the active/athletic dline guys for majority if that's the case it becomes a ground and pound contest....Guys like Woods and Lawson who can be engaged and get off blocks to make a play...or divert it to others...not Jake being stood up in place...spun around...or just washed to the side...even his one minimal skill...and minimal at that...his straight ahead push amounts to nothing because he can't do anything off it....and if works past the ball carrier...zero backside pursuit ability
