Jones is a real solid signing...Mitchell is ok...has potential for sure....but has never been a 1000 yard guy and is he a guy that can carry a team when need be? Schoen I am glas is back, but he also is a big unknown right now...who knows how he gonna respond after his injury...so unless we sign another big time guy....we could be conceivably weaker at receiver this yr At Dline,....Yaeh Thomas pisses me off as he is pointless....and just blocks development of a younger Canadian another yr, or takes reps from an import guy who is better.....You can all say maybe osh just gonna use him as a few snaps a game rotation guy ...well if that was the case why bother...save the 100k plus money and just use Samson or a draft pick there on entry level....Lawson shouldnt be sharing reps with or back seat to any national dt we roster...Vaughters is good signing but we also need a legit 3rd end too to make it work and a more than capable 4th guy to rotate....as it stands right now we have neither...Not saying Garbutt or Haba would be world beaters here but as many chime in here....expect a loss for every rookie...which is a load of **** anyway but you get my point....we gonna roster 2 brand new new guys?....no experience?....I do think Person's is gonna rip it up but that still leaves us exposed at end if WJ or Vaughters goes down and from what I see left in the FA pool now there isnt much left that would be better than what we had and likely will cost more...same at DT...Woods and Adams are legit prospects and yr 2 should show more....fly in ointment are they gonna be back seat to Jake and Schmeck again?...there were some pieces to be had that choose to go elsewhere...if we offered comparable money as to where they went....wouldn't they have wanted to come here as we are the desired place??...I dont think we even really gave a legit offer to any of them, so curious as to who and what we are targeting for defence.

if you do due diligence on a player, be t film...talking to players...coaches ....college coach and determine him a target then shouldnt be throwing cash into the wind...thats being exceptional in your recruitment....I agree tho on how the Riders....B.C...Hamilton seem to go about it...not a good approach I saw Walter's theory, but also have seen and been involved with other G.m's and how they do it too...like they say...more than 1 way to skin a cat...and any approach iant necessarilythe right...or wrong....it's okay to deviate if it makes you better...it really is....honest

I suggest that if there is an opportunity to bring in an impact player or 2....you do it....if that means moving on from a lesser albeit here for several yrs here guy or 2...so be it. Also don't go into any off-season/FA pigeon holing yourself with the idea that you only have so much in this area to spend...and that area...or we are going to go Canadian here...import there, but try obtain the best players within reason at any given position regardless of Nationality or position, and actually use your TC to sort it all out...hardly an unreasonable thing, and one many a successful organization does like Fonzie?? lol...Not sure what that analogy means tho...But at times how we go about things is puzzling and a bit limiting...regardless if people wanna say "ya but" 5 straight appearances.....how bout "Yeah but we epically threw 3 straight wins away" what o we NEED to do to change that, and what was the reasons for it.....not just shashay around business as usual...with not a worry in the world

thing is...when of late have we seen anyone actually get a legit shot to compete....when a season ending injury hasnt dictated we had to Person's is legit...That being aid after WJ last year Garbutt was our next best edge guy...prob most rounded, and essentially playing as a raw rookie...nothing like starting to try and develop a guy and then just let him go...Osh won't play a diff raw rookie regularly in his spot.....and even last year...how many times did we see Thomas on the edge??....like wt..literal F was that???...yeah we need to get younger....but...those guys need to have a legit opp to seize the spot...and they don't...Re-signing Jake...retaining Schmeck...Wilson...verify's it....maybe we will have full camp competition and the best stay and the weak get cut...I wont hold my breathe on that tho other than Nichols...Griffin...BO....you could say that about most our roster too tho....and we had a butt load of guys who looked invisible a lot...and good rarely....

skilled position guys...a lot is in the head....B.A wore his brace after the fact for over a yr and only started to look anywhere near to his old self came after he discarded it and just played free WR is a total different beast so will his cuts and moved be the same...crisp and fluid?...will he go up and snag those balls not thrown in perfect spot fearing landing wrong may result in re-injure in the back of his mind?...will he now avoid those catches in traffic?...lotta if's and banking on him outta the shoot as one the main guys, and not having another WR on roster who garners primo attention isn't a good thing....curious to see if he is in a brace at camp...and if he is....not good...and it's already in his head that he's not confident..... I speaking from experience by the way...coming back from a 3 ligament rebuild and just an ACL rebuild

guy I had hoped we brought in last time he was free agent....solid piece there and will have some offensive use too...especially if we hire Jackson One of whuch needs to be a Nationalized American.....so technically 7 If we go status quo via ratio as last yr we only nedd 1....Canadain on defence on the field at any given time to meet ratio....having at times up to 4...is utter stupidity as they make our defence weaker...not stronger
