  1. hmm...Nichols has better numbers than those 3 at this juncture...guess he should be ahead of Fatardo?...plus he had a better winning percentage as well when he went out...your logic is flawed like your team
  2. YEAH seems like it...reclls more of what i said than I do hahahahaha....my poor rep has taken a hit in his Rider mind...oh my oh my
  3. son??..hahaha...okay pops...and what game did the riders out play Winnipeg?...last game...not really...banjo bowl?...nope..LDC?...nope...if anything it may have been even in 2 of the games but thats a stretch...
  4. Riders have shown that against teams with a halfway decent offence...they cant score...and if they win is due to luck/other teams miscues/game shortened by weather/poor officiating...and they have CGY edm..edm..and BC remaining...other than BC they have tough defenses to deal with, and BC is on a roll a bit and I can see Reilly ripping through the Edem and Gainey led crappy back field...if they go .500 over those games I will be shocked and can see a 1 win scenario looming
  5. I did say that...as did others...and they got more than lucky obviously...they are 10-4 I will give them that...but not a powerhouse 10-4 by any means...and will bow out quickly in play-offs...
  6. yes..and no...in the losses to the Rider's we basically outplayed them in all 3 games...they never whooped..schooled...or controlled us in any way shape or form...and we shall see soon how we match with CGY but as it stands now are up a game on them too...so last 3 weeks should be interesting...other than the Hamilton beat down in the other 3 losses we should have really won them all...it's not like we are being pushed around and beaten up....solve a few brain farts....good things can happen...
  7. it's not a streetch..we have played wretched ball the last month and a bit, and other than the hamilton game...should have won all the others...yeah we lost to the riders and excuses are for losers and mean diddly....but those Rider wins were lucky wins on their behalf and in all 3 games we outplayed and out classed them...they didn't take us out back and whoop us by any means...and who knows what goes on against CGY...as it sits we are one up on them...so time will tell
  8. maybe u can eff off too....but we cant be so lucky...like your riders have been....flawed team as much as any other in league...and truth be told lucky to have beat us and any thought otherwise shows your intelligence
  9. agree...real crap shoot this year...I actually kinda like we are taking a big greasy dump right now...gota few weeks to figure it out as opposed to taking one in week 18
  10. Actually not sure how you determine that we won't see you again....playoff positions are hardly set and any of the top 3 could end up in first...or 3rd...getting pretty cocky there with how you percieve your team
  11. totally agree
  12. If Oshea is a good coach, and a guy who you want leading your team he will move on from Lapo and go a different direction....I think he knows this and will be doing so....but then again that is Walter's and Millers call....and if Osh isn't on board with it then we make Khari an offer he can't refuse...he has shown this year he is now a bonafide HC and I bet he could do wonders with Streveler...
  13. this has nothing to due with lack of confidence in Streveler and McGuire...it's about depth and experience...if needed and if Streveler struggles continually..nothing more..nothing less What team would have confidence in their 3rd string guy leading them in the play-offs with next to no experience???..none...you all forget the 2007 Grey Cup with Dinwiddie?? That being said, nothing lost really in this move and Collaros if healthy (which apparently he is ..at moment) could do well in Lapo's conservative offence, and he would recognize and see the things that Streveler is still learning and getting used to, which could...well should benefit the offense....But Lapo needs to have his guys in the right spots and taught up properly as to what to do on certain looks...which to my eye seems like he hasn't done. Stop all the pointless crap over and over to the outside...the flats and the dumb short sideline crap...when the defence has cleared out and basically has taken away the edge our guys should be getting the quick hitter slats..crossers...splitter routes and with some of the guys we have on offence they would be having a field day....but nope...we stick to the script that all teams are sitting on now. As long as we don't expect and plan for Colaros to sit in the pocket and get gang rushed he may be productive for a few games to get us where we need to go....we are in the playoffs regardless...it's a matter of where we will be playing and as bizzare as it is to say this I feel a lot better moving forward for the rest of the year with Marshmellow head on our roster, than where we were up to yesterday
  14. Streveler has tons of upside...and giving up on him his stupid at best...Have to remember that he basically is in only his 4th year as a true starter...he's learning on the fly, good and bad results and is doing so while in a god awful offensive scheme with an OC who doesn't know how to utilize his players properly, and gets tunnel vision generally before going into a passive play calling mode as he has no onions...So he is a little further behind the curve than most 1st and 2nd yr guys due to that, and all things considered has done pretty well in this working environment he's in. Can't place that all on Streveler and the first step to make this a major turn around is not bringing back Lapo...plain and simple. I can see it in a lot of the offensive players attitude and body language that they are not happy in this either..Lapo's time is done Oshea I have no issue with coming back...yeah the record isn't overwhelming and play-off success has been sparse, but tossing him out really doesn't solve anything...his stubborn attitude to blind loyalty has been his major fault, and you can see on his face this last month or so he is fed up with it...hands are tied this year with the coaches cap thing, so we gotta go to dance with who brought us...but I bet next year if he gets extended...or he accepts the extension he moves on with new OC and DC Sure things have blown lately...but I am not in the camp of all the doomsayers...complainers...whatever you wanna call the people jumping off with support...play=offs are a new season and anything can happen...and if we gotta get there on the road with a couple wins...so be it....just makes it that much more satisfying.
  15. We will win..sask doesnt match up well against us..and I still think media are over rating them..why I dont know Fajardos floaters will be ripe for picking with a real DB at safety..Alexander's presence back in the lineup is huge regardless of where he lines up Also..our lines will dominate theirs again for 3rd straight game and that's where we will win it..plus we havnt played them with Harris yet..and they were lucky to get 1 win..and got blown away in their loss..I'm not concerned one bit truth be told
  16. but 6 of the run I think leads to more success than 6 of the pass....just get to the dance...and well..dance...if we gotta do it in 1 game at home..or 1 at home 1 on road..or both on road...you still gotta just do it
  17. Dline tho is at a severe disadvantage tho in frozen run game...as the oline fires first and has the edge..kind of a pick your poison scenario. Cold weather throwing and catching is more difficult then a straight hand off..and as well the rb and blockers know where they are headed...but I get and agree on your point on the route running for a receiver...but you still gotta get it there...and make catch with frozen ball...and cold paws Our reliance on the short game, and run game both tend to be effective in cold weather so either way...I like our odds
  18. but moreso the pass game too..
  19. close to 200 yards of net offence in his first game back...if that's not dominating..not sure what is...not his fault that Lapo decided to abandon him in that game
  20. Harris's first game against the Rider's...He will be very up for this and run roughshod...he always has good games against them...big factor being overlooked if you ask me Also Alexander will I bet get a pick or 2 on Fajardo's floaters he tosses up for deep shots...
  21. I always thought he was destined and built for SAM...He seems to work better in the close confine coverages...more so than out in space and having to choose his main responsibility...at SAM he will know exactly his responibilty and will add a lot more physicality than Gaitor
  22. hahaha...yup...I know the defense tho would play more in check/tune with how the game is going, and based on what the offense is trying to do..a defense doesn't have to be spoon fed what to do..especially one with experienced guys like ours..and it almost alludes a bit to what Leggett was talking about a bit....hinting that the players voices may not be heard as much, or allowing them to influence play calls to mesh with whats working/not working
  23. I'd let Bighill or whoever is the defensive captain/leader call the majority...not unheard of, and also they have a better feel for game and whats working/not and who is having certain issues that sometimes doesn't get communicated from field to sideline...and vice versa The players know the dfense..the plays...and what they are most comfortable with..they can get input from the spotters but they can make the calls based on the looks the other team is showing..sometimes like we have seen...Coordinators wayyyy over think things and don't just let the players play...especially with whats working...keep it simple...react to the plays....
  24. hopefully the removal of Hecht will solve a lot of the backend issues..as I seen it the last 2 games he offered no help anywhere in coverage and was generally out of position, or physically not able to be in position..and then tried to make up for a gaff by "trying" to lay a big hit...and failing miserably at that as well. For the better part of the first 12 games, and the beginning of the 13th the backend wasn't really that big an issue...they gave up yards at times...but minimal scores (as our points against prove) and kept teams out of endzone as a defense as a whole. those last 6 quarters??....I'm thinking (hoping) that is an anomoly and some kind of personnel issue/communication thing that has come up...teams...especially at this stage in a season just forget how to perform and suck, and also other teams don't "see" something that was hidden until now and are exploiting it...not in my experience playing and coaching Funks happen..we are seeing one now, and hopefully a healthy Jeffcoat regaining form..Alexander being back and a nice couple servings of humble pie lately will be tonic enough to get these guys pointed back in right direction....This weekend's game will go a long way in determining that
  25. He hasn't done anything really against us in 2 games this year...don't see that changing this game either
