  1. I find it funny they have Fajardo labelled as a "franchise QB"...Pretty low standards i guess...but 4300 yards..18-8 TD/INT ratio as a possible 1 year flash in plan doesn't scream franchise QB to me..
  2. hahaha....they got on me for asking if he was mad cause his momma told him to clean up his room and bring his dishes up...i actually got banned for a couple hours..why a couple hours I am not sure
  3. Just from age alone for majority of their key starters..all over 30 years old..and several like 4..5..6 years past 30...and a lot of them are guys they are wanting to sign back...yeesh
  4. who knows..I think he is saying Sask is one of the most stable places in regards to QB and that free-agents will wanna go there because of Fajardo and their "awesomeness" there...complete garbage writing and thought process but where it's coming from..and the perceived mandate the local press has to blow sunshines up the Rider's butt's or be excluded from access it is not a shock
  5. https://leaderpost.com/sports/football/cfl/saskatchewan-roughriders/rob-vanstone-saskatchewan-roughriders-cody-fajardo-is-a-drawing-card-for-free-agents?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter funny article....like really??...
  6. and a dirty one...sneaky dirty and usually good for a bad penalty a game...he's always a guy who likes to pile on a guy who is already down for an extra un-needed cheap shot
  7. In the whooptido dept Sask has extended Makana Henry...hahahahaha...
  8. actually....many a player has said otherwise about Winnipeg believe it or not...many find it hard to believe..I also can attest..I lived in Cali..Mid west U.S as well as in T.O and ended up settling here..there is a reason for it Yeha we could go 4 nationals I think...And I know Eli was working at Tackle in Hawaii....Bryant I think is just a formal announcement away...me thinks he verbally agreed a while back for 2020
  9. again...head scratcher...he's god awful...just watch him...prob in bottom 3 centers in league...I dont get that one
  10. who says he want's to stay there..LA guy for years...used to life in a upscale city..Regina doesn't seem like a place to be
  11. Maston killed it at SAM in playoffs and last few games...and would come in cheaper...hope he's resigned and he just turned 27 this month so he's right in his prime
  12. geez...ANd I havn't really even posted there in months...u others must be irritating the masses hahaha
  13. yeah was a big deal when we signed him..got a grey cup ring here too
  14. Collaros I doubt will be here...99 percent certain and truthfully I don't think management will even try pursuing him to be honest. Lapo I think can mix things up if he stays...but will he?...cause I am not so certain he is a slam dunk in any of those places..Mass is more than likely going to be the OC in BC as he and Reilly had a lot of success together and thee is the Hervey connection...Not sure Lapo would be keen on that, bu then again it is also how bad does he wanna HC again and may turtle under to it, but I thought it was stated that he pulled himself outta T.O consideration because he wants to pick his own staff..Only other spot is Ottawa and for some reason I think they want to go new and young...Tho a Lapo and Collaros situation there may be a possibility
  15. We were pretty nicely under the cap. I would think several guys will get re-upped with signing bonus money upfront against this years cap. We had cash set aside for a big time receiever we didn't actually use, plus the Mathews money came off the books too...mind you he wasn't making much suprisingly, but prob still pocketed 50-60k of his money that is just sitting there...
  16. hahha....nOT the Rapper....The receiever...Buster Rhymes...
  17. And we did have his Uncle Buster here for a couple seasons...lol But I agree...
  18. Of our guys if we can lock up Jefferson/Rose/Sayles/Maston/Nevis/Bryant/Hardrick/Neuf/Darvin/Woli thats basically half and what i think are the keys Looking at that list I would target one of or both Adeleke/Ackie and one of Addison or Begelton..and that be it We could slot one of those guys at safety and allow us the Nevis/Richardson duo as starters tho it wouldn't shock me if an Exume stepped into a safety role...we shall see Addison would really..Reeeaallly fit in well with what we do offensively here...I would see him wanting to stay in Hamilton, but maybe his opinion of that team soured on how they acted in play-offs...bunch of gutless chumps Hopefully Augustine sticks around, really like his skill and he is a true team guy too, but he may get lured away...the rest on our list are gyus that can easily get replaced with some of our PR/IR guys with no real drop off, or cheaper free agent options...all in all our returning roster for 2020 won't see too much of an over haul unless some out of blue NFL opportunities arise
  19. Or if we are restructure it. I would go heavier "in-season" bonus as opposed to prior to season bonus...and if he doesn't like that, well then take it or leave it..The team needs to protect itself just as much as the player needs to..If he is confident in himself and knows he can be the man, then he should be agreable to it. No way we are or should do a 200K winter bonus that goes directly against the cap for a number of reasons..Say he isn't 100% ready...Gets re-injured...Strev shows he has taken next step...thats a lot of coin lost before the first snap that could be allocated elsewhere to start a season
  20. prob need some extra cash to offset the peanuts he was paid this year
  21. watch his other strip sack of Evans against The Outstanding O-Lineman Van Zyl...made him look like he was stuck in the turf flailing away hahaha...Bryant sooooo got robbed and he played with a chip on his shoulder on Sunday too...he was all over steam rolling guys and having his edge locked down...Guys a beast of an o-lineman and I think one of the most important guys to bring back..and wouldn't be shocked if he has a deal already...or agreement...and for a while now
  22. Generally in the CFL a back-up with tenure...3-5 years is going to pull in 125 to 175k..depending on experience/skill...With Strev now in his 3rd year...being what he is "now" and what he "could" be, and I think will be is in that range at the least. Any other back-up you wanna bring in who is not a raw rookie is gonna be in 6 figures somewhere. You are going to have to budget for 600 to 750 k for a solid 1-2 punch and am not sure how a BC or CGY and to a lesser extent EDM can do that...they are going to have to restructure those deals, or go with a warm body at back-up basically...or bastardize your team elsewhere and we seen how that turned out, especially with B.C CGY got a bit lucky with Abuckle keeping the wolves at bay, but he was also thee last year, on a minimal deal so that helped, but as season wore on...he was less impressive Our best bet is to sign Strev to 2+ years...develop him behind Matt who we bring back on a 1 with option and further develop McGuire...See how the Nichols/Strev combo package works as season goes, and/or if Strev develops further possibly taking the reignsand you have a solid Nichols as your back-up No sense bringing in a 32 yr old off knee usury Masoli or a just as unproven more or less Arbuckle..we shown we can/will win with current duo...will it make everyone happy...nope...but really only realistic option and could be way worse
  23. 100 percent agree..Danny Mac would be no real loss
  24. Adam's is tough and gritty..he's one of the leaders on the team..and very underrated. I hope we have room to bring him back..obviously we can win a cup with him in our receiving Corp..
