  1. Jakes been invisible and a non factor since thevrotation with Nevis and Poop in lineup together ended
  2. I bet Thorpe is questioning his decision to leave now with Dressler down....
  3. yeah hasn't been amazing...but is an experienced vet who isn't gonna hurt you
  4. Hopefully with more of a heavy load with in game reps Corney can tweek his game and learn more of the nuances...he is leaps and bounds ahead of where he was last year and is actually becoming a real force..
  5. on a different note, isn't it a good thing that Management didn't dump Opo for whatever.....when many here figured that would be a smart move?
  6. Actually I think quite the opposite. Santos-Knox is really good sideline to sideline..very fast to react and is good at scraping down the line and picking the right angle to cut off the outside stuff. I'm actually looking forward to see if he can continue this and up his game with more starting reps, and getting used to different looks. I think he may just be our diamond in the rough on defense this year
  7. I wonder how many more guys now will go on the 6 game injury list in Sask to account for these new adds...seems as tho since Jones got busted for the secondary practice roster they had last year he is totally abusing the 6 game injury list. Bet my left nut too most are getting paid well above the practice roster minimum to keep them hanging around too...and I kinda like my left nut Be curious as to where they are cap-wise too...They did over pay for some marginal guys, and have a lot invested in some of their starters..even though Glenn is making low money they have to be pretty tight and all these signings kind of make you wonder
  8. We really don't need a major fix anyway, a lot of times we had 3 National D-Lineman on the field at same time anyway. Just run your rotations with one of Thomas/Corney/ekakite in on any play and we will be fine. Hopefully they can tweek the ratio...and least intrusive way is swap out Lankford, and see what Drew has and bring in Green Or Nevis in his spot.
  9. yeah expecting a fix that will be very questionable, and for the most part make us weaker when there are other options available, but they won't make them
  10. Christ give me the cash...I could bring more than Cappicotti would....that be a waste of picks
  11. and don't need to start a canadian receiver...that be foolish..we are fine with ratio regardless...just start a rotation of Thomas/Corney/Ekakite as the 7th. The swap out of Lankford with Drew is we can DI another dlineman like Nevis or Green
  12. a receiver is a receiver..Drew for Lankford still is the same amount of receivers on the roster...just swapping birth certificates as it helps us on the defensive side of the ball
  13. the way we rotyate and us our dlineman we still need to roster an additional one..unless they choose to go without
  14. Poop was already in last game with westerman
  15. no but he is an international taking up a game day spot...you can replace him with a canadian and add an american dlineman...i'm assuming Shayon Green for the rotation
  16. no sit Lankford and dress Drew W...he can do returns, and probably fill the role of what Thorpe was doing somewhat. ...moreso than Lankford could
  17. for a defensive end...not much speed to get up to to have a guy step right in. Other than a few different schemes we run, it probably one of the easiest spots to step into in football with minimal time with a team
  18. Well on the bright side it frees up a nice chunk of SMS cash for hopefully bringing in someone..even just for the year on a pro-rated contract to help in stretch run..especially on defence...Hello Mulumba...or Grymes...better a Mulumba tho as it keeps the ratio as it was
  19. Yeah the Lefevour signing to me was kind of a meh...and I figured a waste, but what he is here for and does during games, and the veteran presence here in case if it happens Davis has to take over for a game or two, and doesn't produce is actually a good thing. Pretty sure he could be that actual "game manager" to get us a few wins if it came to it, and with his running threat could open up a lot of other options with what we have on offence. Wouldn't want to hang my hat on him as the full-time starter, but if he is a cap friendly salary I would say he should be a must re-sign come this offseason
  20. actually...no thats true...I posted same thing in the other forum a while ago...I have been told the same thing
  21. yeah if the Cats defense comes to play..mixes things up and pressure/put some good licks on him he is going to turn it over multiple times. The new offence as well being implemented there is still being eased in, so they may jump on them early with things the Rider's aren't prepared for, and a comeback of any signifigance isn't likely with any of their back-ups. Lose this, and most likely next week with CGY they could be looking way up again at rest of division at 5-7...especially if BC pulls a rabbit out of hat and wins this weekend there's no way CGY will lose 2 in a row.
  22. yeah but wild isn't healthy...and who kows..maybe he plays with a real chip on his shoulder...he did excell in the position Knox was trying to fill
  23. hard to explain...it's just the body conditioning to take a pounding....I'm just drawing off experience as well and what I found and experienced...opening off season, after a bye...or a prolonged absence due to injury or being scratched...was always tough getting back into "game condition"...is that a way to term it..as opposed to game shape in an aerobic capacity
