  1. Desjarlais and Stove will require probably the more substantial bumps. Hardick..Neuf..BRyant can conceivably take same pay..they at top teir now..possibly Yoshi a slight bump..but if offered a fair deal..with prospect of playoof cash..they not leaving Also not sure why people think jeffcoat is making peanuts...he's not...not sure where that story developed. If any of the dlineman might be a risk to leave cause we can't offer enough to bridge with possible playooff money it's Kongbo...but I also think it needs to be b.c to lure him..and even then I coukd see him staying for 15 to 20k less here
  2. Harris injuries tho were just **** happens in football injuries..nothing from age and body breakdown...if he wants to play he will and most likely plays a full year injury free save for the usual knocks and bumps..he has been injury free basically his whole career..he was due for some.. Jeffcoat...NFL talk on boards is just that..slim and none..he had his NFL window already..and he actually older than Willie...he is cfl lifer now..and he isn't coming off rookie deal...it's his 3rd contract so his increase isn't exponential..plus he wants to stay here..and will stay here with a fair offer Resigning our guys we want won't be an issue...as we..as well as other teams made this dance already..but I can bet u that this yr u will see many 2 yr..possible 3 yr deals signed..already have. I also can see all 3 NI running backs here as well...
  3. And was in serious decline when he last played as well...him back would actually be a downgrade from what was there this yr..If u can imagine that
  4. I don't see the cats escaping the east in 2022
  5. With no real solutions anytime soon unless they way overspend on at least 3 online positions...basically screwing up rest of roster...a weak one at that as it hasn't gotten it done last 3 years..and their core is not getting younger or have infinite upside...it is what it is
  6. people just need to accept and realize...that this Bomber team was just flat out good...they kinda sucked the pooch in the 2 playoff games (well sucked for them) and still walked off with all the hardware...and really....should have had rookie of the yr as well...expect more of same next yr
  7. yeah but Edam..Purifoy..Marshall and Gainey are must re-signs for the big grey cup yr...oh yeah..they sucked last 2 and couldnt get it done...continue on sucka's
  8. and if video replay was around..would have a had a key play in their favour overturned
  9. MCmanus and Goevia extended through 2023 which is nice for consistency
  10. Taylor is a bit older..but in phenomenal shape...and played strong all yr....If he's back, and as good as last yr...I'm more than happy while one or two of the rookies test their luck for a yr down south..Nichols has had time too..so not sure what his PR eligibility left is...he may need to make a active roster, or be he's out And a workout doesn't mean a contract offer...time will tell
  11. hahah...I can be long winded too...especially when worked up lol
  12. yup...couldnt have said that better...lol
  13. they have a lot of better players that they wouldnt want over the Bomber counterpart...but cant seem to beat us....weird...haha i just sit back and chuckle, and realize i have physically seen with my own eyes 5 grey cup victories...and I am under 50 yrs old....no rider fan dead or alive has seen more than 4...ever...and moist alive have seen what 3 at most....sad
  14. yup...we be good...we also have that monster in the NCAA this yr too...do we not?
  15. yup..we have depth to manage losses....I fully expected Desjarlais...so having Gray and ELI who could start for any team already around takes that sting away, and makes them easier to resign. Same with DB's...we can still have solid core of returnees even if we lose both rookies, so resigning of Darby, Jones, Taylor...eases that pain...have to remember Darby can play either corner or halfback, and very well.....so if Maston is ready, and able...easy transition...I doubt we lose both DB's tho, and I think Alfords slight frame will not help him...but could be a one yr loss ala Rose... So if we star a Rose Taylor BA Darby Jones secondary with Maston at sam...we be fine...we also could have Houston and Miller both back too..I assume they both on 2 yrs deals no?...rookies in the league? Or was Houston on IR/PR at end of yr...which is still a big nothing burger, and sure he an easy resign
  16. yup....he probably severely affected his earning power now too....he gotta earn that back
  17. Simoni's too....funny that he felt he was jobbed 2 years in a row for MODP...by players on the team that took 2 cups from them...gotta sting that extra bit more haha
  18. and agreed on the financials...we will be able to sign who we want, and also dip into free agency if we see an opportunity....no worries here ANd yeah the Elks had the talent..which was so bizzare..I think they just all quit on the Coach and Management, and was from having a group of douchers in the locker room...which tainted the whole team and ruined them...notice end of year when a good portion of some of their core vets were sat...they actually looked and played like a team?..
  19. oh for gods sakes hahaha....just grabbed first link I saw ..didnt even read it hahahaha I think tho this yr the Bomber guys banked 35k
  20. https://www.totalsportal.com/others/grey-cup-prize-money/
  21. Exactly...last year we brought back the same amount pretty much...and all teams are in same boat.....and only so much SMS to go around...the reality is in the new CFL right now is that some vets will have to accept the same pay as previous year, some will have to settle for less, as thats just the business now....or not play.....and there will be a few with nice bumps...we should be fine, as we have pretty much a veteran roster where we will have minimal bump ups...if any, plus the added bonus that the players know if the core guys are back, they have a good shot at 20 to 30k at season end....whereas some teams who we most likely assume will try and pay some larger cash to some prize free-agents have no hope in hell really...or its a big crap-shoot So with the short career life of a player, the more likely chance of that playoff money is a big draw...why do u think teams like the stamps retained so many guys for years...and for less than they probably woulda got elsewhere?? and on the flip...if we do happen to lose a key guy...which I doubt..or another team or 2 lose a key guy....they will obviously been wayyy overpayed....throwing that teams SMS outta whack, and ripple effect being less money to go around to get a very good replacement, at possibly a lower price, strengthening your overall SMS
  22. yup...Sask better be worried mind u losing their "prize" free agents probably a blessing to them and they dont realize it I can see dbags Edam...Marshall..Duke..Purifoy....all skidaddling there...Gainey too...so one team gets shittier by choice...and another shittier in the short term by no fault of their own...me like
