  1. Agreed...totally.. also they need to use..or try Washingtons skill set in conjunction with it..or release him if not going to use him. would let Dressler heal up another game and get him "really" healthy and see what kind of things can be done with Tomkins and Washington in lineup..cant be less production than what we seen last 2 games
  2. Oline is a minor issue in the sacks..its the qb not getting the ball off..and bring highly immobile now. Most in league other than in sask still consider this the best oline..sacks allowed doesnt mean a line is poor In sask u guys cant have a qb stand in pocket at all other than dumping off a hitch or screen or trying the RPO thing..which teams will adapt to in no time..then what? Your qb will get creamed..or start showing his form of the last 3 years and any more chance of wins will dry up There is a reason u cant attack vertically or rarely..and its cause you cant because oline cant sustain blocks
  3. no..just wondering what u see
  4. what do you see in sad sack Collaros who has done noting for 3 years now really?
  5. ..
  6. because Lankford knows the playbook...puts in time during the practices and is a good teamate and has been in league for 3 years...I guess Flanders has none of those traits...oh wait a minute....he does...and in his time on the field has been a difference maker and a real threat opening things up for others....guess it must be something else
  7. gotta do something...or see what Washington gives us...this team needs a game breaker receiver to help ail a lot of it's offensive issues....that and not have all receievers save for one all running routes on the same depth level...while still trying to throw to the backs in that level..congesting everything
  8. hey you could be fairly trim at that height ...its all how you carry it..and the type of weight it is I'm just a hair over 6 feet tall..and bounce between 265..270 pounds...and I don't look chubby or un-trim by any means...
  9. he's good though at making those circus catches and on balls that are in the wrong spot...so he should excel here
  10. he has to make a pr first
  11. yeah...he would be that deep guy threat our offence is starving for..and his presence would exponentially allow Adams to light it up...we do have the extra first rounder and all
  12. And the funny thing about that is that 65 yards of that was Strevelers...makes you wonder how much game tape/review/grading he is...or they are actually doing to determine if changes need to be made...all around on the team...Because most times..and most teams...a guy is getting owned/abused/mismatched...he gets replaced....here...we trot em out with excuses and applause for the infrequent good things they did...bizzare...we need a staff and management that has a ruthless part to their good guy personality
  13. SO SILLY HAHAHA
  14. Lets look at it in the Riders mindset last few years...play for 4th and cross...hahaha...so we can realistically go 3 and 5 in our remaining games and slide on over in a worst case scenario....have half the season to get things right and get to play-offs hot. I think tho..this may have been a galvanizing moment and we actually go on a run now...we shall see...and not being a homer here...but I don't see the Riders as being a threat to overtake us...as the season progresses their bubble will burst and defense will falter..they have some good guys playing well in their system that are starters...but zip for back-ups and once all the knicks and dings and the inevitable injury to a starter happens..it goes down hill
  15. I like couture and Spooner better...heck even actually Speller
  16. YEAH...that was the one that really cemented it for me...stiff stiff hips...and not sure if it's knee issues as well...or in his head to not over do it to cut and pivot for fear of re-injury...but yeah...he look way out of place...dare I say wayy outmatched for pro ball...it was bad Also as a safety he doesn't have the closing speed or take good angles to a ball carrier to close ground...for all the Morgan detractors out there...he has that in spades and in no way would hurt us out there...probably be of more use as he would be able to get over in protection to help out a DB and bust up a play...much like happens to us all the time...over the top help..trust me teams scheme against us because we don't have a saftey who can do that....
  17. he did in BC for almost a full year.....then got hurt...As well as in Sask for about half a yr ...but he was really big and was pretty ineffective so they dumped him...and signed with us
  18. Hardrick was 25 when we told him to drop a few pounds and come to camp..and also had many games as a starter under his belt..and was trained at a top notch NCAA school..Rice is 30 already, and has shown squat really...and came from UofM...No knock on Canadian schools...bu C'mon man! big difference Morgan was hardly terrible and Conteh is only a second yr guy...but is hardly an unknown...they aren't rookies and from experience..safety is a place you can with stand a mistake here and there and not get yer backside handed to you for colossal losses...
  19. It is actually...They don't have to be a difference maker to play a standard safety role...something they have been doing and have the athleticism to do...Safety in Canadian ball is probably the easiest position to play on defense..you need to be able to have the speed to close a gap and flow to the ball on the deeper passes...or move up on a run after your protection responsibilities are no longer needed...ie...the ball is being ran. YOu Morgan and Conteh are more than capable of doing that..(both have played corner..so can run with a WR) you read the QB and don't fall for look offs...if you ask me..Loffler doesn't have the skill set to play the normal safety role as he doesn't have the skills to read a play in the normal safety spot to flow to a ball to break it up..assist in coverage over the top or read it fast enough to jump a route...The staff here fell in love with the big hits in yr one and as per usual..stick with their guy until it's a foregone conclusion the player is sub par Safety for a lack of a better description is your last line of defence and an area where you can hide a lesser talented player if they are properly coached and know the role...why do you thin that for decades generally the safety was the only place you usually saw a Canadian in a defensive back field??..there is/was a reason...it's EASY to play O-line is your first line of defense..and if you have a guy that is sub-par there..well you have all seen the results of that..
  20. Landon Rice is of no help...30 yr old who has never really started anywhere...we'd be better off with Neuf at tackle and Couture at guard if we wanted to go that silly route
  21. Naw we need a Benny Thompson back there if we hitting the time machine..and if we want a Canuck...gimme Flagl
  22. hahaha....sorta
  23. was away with no internet access until today after the saturday game...digesting the loss haha
  24. Moe had one bad game out of our 10...he's hardly a concern whatsoever, and hasn't lost a step..was a total defensive scheme collapse all around...If anything the use and play of Loffler is hurting this team more than anything...he seems so slow...and stiff....big hits be dammned (way things are going league wise anyway a big hit will probably get flagged) I think he needs to be replaced for a game or two and put in the more athletic Conteh or Morgan and let them play a traditional safety role, because as it is now, he is offer minimum help to the DB's coverage wise and in open space with a receiver running after the catch he almost looks comical and lost out there...not to mention looking like he is plodding through deep wet sand
  25. If Montreal can beat Sask....well..that's just plain funny
