Fogg can...Heath does too tho I'd wish they didn't risk injuring him there..Harris can too but same with Heath it's a risk. Most likely will be Lankford sharing it with Fogg..Lankfrd being the DI...well both them as DI

was Devon Bailey not let go by Montreal as well..Canadian Reciever...6'4"..6'5" somewhere in there height wise

most good teams are built from the trenches and out...so I would suggest we should at the least be a cross over but i truley see a home playoff game here -

and how easily Clark was getting trucked and rolled into the backfield repeatedly at center and they have a thread on their board asking this question: With a Strong O-Line and Great Receiving. Can we be successful without a Star QB? like really???? -

Aand they will be behind early and often by a lot...so the run game will be abandoned and teams will just tee off on Glenn or whoever is in...and it's going to be ugly....And then Carter's immaturity and cancer will emerge...again and the team will become divided..implode...and it will be glorious to see -

not sure they would crack any roster...Maybe Hecht and Campbell soley based on passport, and only for special teams...they wouldn't be seeing defensive snaps And when you put it down to actually read and digest it personnel wise.....yikes!! -

Not to be critical of fans and all...but I have found myself to be browsing a lot there...and wow they are truley delusional with thoughts on depth here..depth there...do they not see they are razor thin and a lot of their starters, both import and non-import prob wouldn't start anywhere else?? Their o-line can't afford ANY injuries right now, and what they project to start right now may not even be totally healthy, or even their projected first stringer coming into camp. Any injury or even sub-par play and they are in a world of trouble...not to mention if KG goes down or isn't producing. That defense too...razor thin and a lot of questions...Save for Jefferson what do they really have who teams would be concerned about? They think Judge is going to be this savior ratio changer, but honestly he has missed all camp, was not a starter in College and mainly was a special teams guy and finished his career with 47 games played and 48 Tackles??..hardly the stats of a super demon. Factor in trying to figure out CFL nuances, the extra guy, motion, field size, angles, benchmarks on the filed as where to be..where to go..you aren't going to see big impact from him...maybe some more tackles as they will be forever punting. I played both versions and a Will/Sam and a defensive HB has the biggest learning curve, and requires the most adjustment and thinking -
no that Miller...Renaud was a 2016 draft pick...went back to school last year...Linebacker
-
True...that is true...I'm guessing that if Conteh was healthy he would be on the roster as a special teams guy to get his feet wet..Renaud too from what I have seen is great on teams...high energy...gets his nose dirty
-
Yeah that roster looks like what I would hope/think they do. Tho I think perhaps they only dress one extra o-lineman, or did Osh say they are dressing 7 this year? The extra special teams foot soldier would prob give us more bang for our buck with the use of that 44th guy...
-
Also we need to develop a stud new reciever so in my books Washington starts...cuts his teeth and grows during the season...not get used sparingly, or jumps on and off the roster
-
Yeah, Flanders really sold himself on me this TC and actually improved his game, so great depth and yeah, prob a luxury right now until we sort out the defence. Though I'm not sure why we havn't schemed to have offensive sets with Flanders in the backfield and Harris swap out with the canuck receiver and bring in Normand as tight end...and at times actually utilize the TE with passing plays as to keep the defenses honest and not key on anyone
-
Until we see how the defense pans out I would think Flanders doesn't make the active game roster in lieu of Knox, or Carmichael if Leggett is ready and and DI one of them. I would leave Lankford off for now...Start with Washington and DI Fogg as returner/extra D-back
-
I think initially it will be at expense of Flanders on the 44...He will make the 46 and be rewarded with a game cheque but we will see the benefits of the defensive rotation first and if it pays dividends. Because really history showed that when we did roster Flanders it was more or less a waste as he received next to know touches, whereas the defensive rotation would get significant. Time will tell I guess how we manage the roster

http://www.riderfans.com/forum/forum/main-forum/48171-what-does-jones-need-to-do-to-be-back-for-2018 some good funny reading...that initial overview/assessment of talent is sooooo ofbase...sheesh -
SHEPPARD..DANIELS..LIGGENS ALL cut...now who fills that bog bodied receiver that Lapo and his offence apparently need/like?? or is there going to be a more vertical attack? not happy with the release of both those guys...but whatever i guess wonder who the 4th import startrer is
-
Actually HB is probably a tougher position to grasp for a rookie coming in, as it's kind of a new position for Americans, you don't really have that position south of the border, and the fact that there's a waggle and unlimited movement makes it tough. Middle linebacker...if you have a true stud it's much easier to step right in and play...it's just a matter of conditioning and being able to range from sideline to sideline a bit better
-
i'm sure that between Hurl and Johnson it would be about 200k....but Johnson isn't a guy who I would dump. He gets a lot of abuse too which isn't really warranted
-
yup..true..but there is room/need for more than just him...plus he more a Darvin Adams type...where Williams is the big bodied guy Lapo likes in his offence...ala Sheppard last year
-
if not...I am not sure what the heck they are seeing or looking for...It's about time we kept and invested in a receiver to groom to become our version of Manny Arce..if not for anything but to give our group of pass catchers a different body type...cause it seems too that Sheppard has a hard time staying healthy so I don't see him as a long term answer
-
I'm hoping that the plan is to choose one of Williams and Liggins to keep...and are going Williams...otherwise myself included am a bit frustrated and annoyed...but of the two if I had to choose I would have went with Williams
-
yeah our O-line looks good, and for the next little while too...Makes even more sense to try and get some assets for Neufeld...we really don't need him and I would have no issue putting 80% of his salary into Behar if we could land him
-
yes...right in Hurls way...along with the another olineman who shouldn't have been there either
-
All on D-line. Thomas got washed right into second level and that didn't allow Hurl to get to the gap...the gap which was not his primary responsibility on that play to begin with because Thomas and his man impeded him and the other guard was on Hurl in the second level. Johnson played it right as well as he was responsible for contain thee and if it was a zone read run and Franklin kept the ball he would have had the edge...so Johnson reacted just fine when his responsibility was covered and he went for ball carrier...if the play would have went the other way and he bit on the running back you would all be up his arse saying how he needs to go. We were also in a blitz package with Wild so he was gone from the middle. The fault is inexperience from Carmichael as he was i think in wrong spot and got tied up with Loffler and his man and thats where the play broke down..If blame is to be pointed out it starts with Thomas and went to Carmicheal and Loffler...Not Hurl...not Richie Hall scheme...moreso a rookie brain fart and Thomas not being a solid every down option at Tackle
-
nice...he also in school played punt coverage teams too...and is good at it
