  1. Yeh Gray's size really suits Tackle much better than Guard. Won't happen as long as Bryant and Yoshi are around though
  2. Probably mouthed off to Jones after he told him to play DB so he got cut. 100% he's going to get picked up by another team... I remember him playing reasonably well for his first season, just making a couple rookie mistakes.
  3. Yeh I got a real nice custom suit for interviews, weddings and funerals... that I need to go get let out after gaining 15 lbs during covid 😞
  4. TBH most of the drops were on balls where the dbs were hitting the receiver with their hands around the ball as it got there (or where the receiver was getting blown up on a crosser) Even Ellingson in the endzone wasn't as easy as it.looked since he had to quickly change direction and go up for a ball at the absolute top of his range in howling wind/rain.
  5. The deep corner in the endzone that beat Glass was a perfect throw. Glass didn't leave a big window for that route either - ball comes any later/higher and glass gets to make a play on it, any sooner and the receiver would have a hell of a time catching inbounds.
  6. Despite the stats you really hit the nail on the head - Despite letting Ottawa get some yards the D only gave up 9 points over 3/4 of the game (1 field goal per quarter after the 1st). It wasn't like our offense was dominating the time of possession to make it easy on the D either.
  7. Checked out the highlights and I gotta say that last pass by Brown was real legit... Perfectly placed just barely behind Ellingson who was basically only open for a pass thrown behind him.
  8. How does that play go if they call the headshot? Technically it was after the fumble but before Ott recovery so it would cancel the turnover right? I was pretty shocked the penalty didn't get called.. especially since it was so obvious that he took a headshot with his helmet exploding off his head
  9. Really too bad about Stanback... sucks seeing a beast of a player get hurt.
  10. Last year Ottawa had a pretty good defense... they were terrible because they had absolutely no offense whatsoever.
  11. Wow Deadmonton tackling was really atrocious
  12. Butler looked extremely sharp... definitely makes the game easier for Rourke
  13. Yeh lots of hits driving with the helmet
  14. It's the NBA finals... people do care about it
  15. Where was Masoli even throwing that ball?
  16. I remember Bailey standing out as an excellent blocker as well last year - Similar body type to Adams as well.
  17. Land ackward after a punt and twist an ankle? Probably could have a real freak of nature accident where it's ackward enough to mess up a knee (ACL/MCL/Mensicus)
  18. The little bit of playtime Strev's seen in the NFL he hasn't looked incredibly out of place throwing the ball either.... he really only had one terrible ball and that was mostly because he thought it was a free play.
  19. Lefors barely got to play before he ****** his shoulder... after the injury his poor play wasn't really an indication of his ability. Even the poor play before the injury is hard to necessarily pin on him given the coach tried to install an early 90s offensive system.
  20. In retrospect - You can disagree with how Taman put together a team, but he did give head coaches enough talent to go to/win championships. It feels like both times he got fired was after seasons where his starting QB was hurt and the backups in place sucked... but it's really hard to know how well a backup will play given the starting position until they actually have to do it.
  21. Yeh I'm totally cool with the rule as a way to keep games "in flux" late.
  22. 1 - Castillo - 16 pts off his foot in a game where every point mattered 2 - Wilson - Was an absolute demon on the sweeps - He made SO MANY superb tackles that stuffed plays that were looking like big gainers 3 - Adams - Showed up big in the biggest game. HH - Rose for the 3rd down stop and the INT bobble
  23. Ehhh - I'm fine with having the Arkell's guy up in the booth after the show. Arkell's were a reasonably good choice for half-time show (Canadian Band with Rock/Country roots, Ties to the hosting city) - The kind of person who listens to Arkells is, IMO, a good target demographic for the CFL (correct age range, generally the right "class" of person that could be interested in football) Don't even blame the guy for being a Hammy homer, it's his team - If I was up in that booth I couldn't be bothered to not cheer the Bombers.
  24. That OPI was massive - One, of many, TSN turning points. I pride myself on being pretty aware of the rules and I had no clue that you couldn't take the ball in the last 3 minutes.... I was super confused when they didn't.
