Nah the play where he went out looked nasty... DE beat his tackle to the outside, who subsequently grabbed the DE and forced the DE down rolling into Franklins legs as the tackle slammed into Franklins upper body. As soon as it happened it was pretty obvious that he was out for the game and likely longer.

It's probably the same person who was complaining that Jefferson hasn't been getting any sacks this year who complains about him going off script... like the two things aren't potentially related. Last couples of years Jefferson got burnt a number of times when he basically sold out to try and sack the QB... So far this year IMO he has been playing some really disciplined ball which is probably going to hurt his sack numbers but definitely makes for a more consistent defence.

Hiariously the Roughriders tied Toronto after the game delay They scored a rouge and two field goals in 2 quarters, TO scored a TD. That doesn't bode well for SSK

Lots of people thought Neufeld was washed up when the trade was made because he had some injury problems in SSK. A fair number of people thought we gave up a second round draft pick and were going to get a guy who might play a quarter of the season before he got injured. 2013 he only played 3 games all season. Which to be fair from 2014-2016 he missed 50% of the games (probably due to injury). It's only been the last two years that he's managed to stay healthy

If you go into the exchange any old day of the week his perception of it being relatively devoid of the 40+ age category is pretty correct.... although I would probably push the number a little higher (maybe 45+) The fact is that if you were a young adult or older in the 90's Winnipeg's downtown was simultaneously not nice AND had almost nothing worth going to. The core has made a SIGNIFICANT turnaround in the last 20 years and people who had strong opinions about it from the 90's are only recently starting to realize that things have changed.

You know that was definitely the knock on Bishop throughout his career in the CFL... but given how often he was brought into shitty situations with little to no time to actually learn a playbook it's hard to judge how much of his inadequacies were the result of the situation he was put into. The fact is that for the seasons he spent in Toronto he did a pretty adequate job as QB. Look at 2009... yeh his numbers sucked, but how many QB's would really be able to come in halfway through a season and have great numbers running the Mike Kelly offense? I almost think the period from 2010 - 2014 wouldn't have been so bleak if we had just kept Bishop around for the whole time (although Buck was nice to have when he was healthy)

If I remember properly he made a spectactular running play and took a HARD hit near the sideline about halfway through the game... EDIT - wasn't a spectactular play I think, based on https://www.cfl.ca/games/1567/#playbyplay it was a 3 yard run at the end of the 1st quarter. B.Randall came in and finished the quarter. His play before that wasn't spectacular, but he really didn't have many opportunities to shine either.

Two options - There are a number of nice hotels down Pembina (Holiday Inn / Best Western) that'll run you ~120$ a night. From there you can easily drive to the Forks/Downtown to the exchange to check stuff out there & take a bus to the game (recommended) Second option if you want to show her a real good time - Book a room at the Fort Garry for 160$ + 20$ parking. You can walk down to the Forks and into the exchange (Clementines is my favorite breakfast place in the city). Still take a bus to the game (pretty easy from downtown). If you haven't checked out the zoo in awhile they've done really good things there.
