Interesting. I didn't notice that. I noticed more about how he kind of swung at them from the side.

Damn. Wanted to watch this one, but can't find a stream. CFL really needs to have better options for people without cable.

I was never quite sure if it was touted as a prevention or treatment for Covid, but according to the link it would be for both. I haven't heard anything recently on treatments for Covid, when the pandemic was first declared I assumed treatments would make more progress than vaccines. Maybe they have, but most of what I have come across has been about vaccines. Another thing I remember reading about a month ago was the potential for intranasal vaccines. The article I read previously, and can't find now, claimed that they would likely be better at preventing transmission.

I remarked to my dad that Crapigna had a really weird kicking motion. I thought it even looked like he slipped on a kick in the last game. I don't know if he was compensating for a nagging injury or if that's how he's always kicked.

Apparently they are concerned that restrictions to unvaccinated people will cause them to be less likely to get vaccinated. I'm sure that's their real concern with the new restrictions 🙄 Whatever Guenter has been doing so far to encourage people in his riding to get vaccinated without restrictions has worked wonderfully so far.

Agreeing with you. Sad reaction because we will still do half measures which won't mean much other than an attempt to say there is a climate policy and they're doing something. Don't really understand how they can lambast Trudeau for ruining the future by spending during a pandemic and be completely blind to the biggest challenge to our future.

What do you call a med student that graduates at the bottom of his/her class? Doctor.

But readers of the sun will tell you that everything else is biased and the sun is the only one that reports news. Ask the PCs who spread B.S. about how biased the Free Press is.

Fortunately lots of organizations like schools and private business have stepped up in the lack of provincial leadership. Many individuals also continue to wear masks and act like we haven't defeated Covid(again). One thing I wonder is how many people are not really feeling symptoms due to vaccinations, but are still passing it on. Plus those who are unvaccinated by choice would also be less likely to get a Covid test. I guess the only way to be sure was to test a truly random sample of the population. I don't have the source, but I remember reading somewhere that a surprising (for me) high percentage of children that tested positive for Covid were at the hospital for something else, such as a broken arm, and required a routine Covid test.

Speaking of senility... I just found out that workers are indoctrinating senior citizens with conservative beliefs in senior facilities! Seniors facilities are loaded with conservative voters and we cannot allow this indoctrination to continue! (poor attempt at sarcasm)

This is also happening in Manitoba. Our government has very much been manipulating, defunding and otherwise trying to handicap post-secondary institutions. The goal is to make universities a factory for producing what industry desires. No need for useless critical thinking. This also continues will controversial (to say the least) bill 64 for grade school reform. More standardized testing, elected boards being replaced by parent councils... No wonder the current education minister applauded when a PC leadership candidate announced she would repeal the bill.

I doubt you're able to cut players based on vaccination status, but having them unvaccinated is risking the health of the rest of your team and legitimately putting your team in risk of losing via forfeit. You'd have to imagine that would create tension at an interpersonal level amongst the players, especially on teams below 85%. FIFO - go ask The Rock if the XFL is hiring.

Is it a negative thing that people who have completed advanced degrees are often more liberally-minded? Those who have studied many different aspects of our society tend to come to more liberal conclusions. To me that's more an indication that conservative beliefs generally don't hold up to intense study by those with advanced degrees. There is obviously some selection bias (some conservatives are really scared of advanced learning and cast negative light on those with degrees), so they would also be less likely to go to university.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/conservative-gst-holiday-response-1.6143915 What is with these policies that they are coming up with? First, a carbon plan that gives you a savings account for polluting purchases and now a GST holiday for December? They do realize that there are supply shortages already, right? They do realize that this will disincentivize people to make any purchases until December, right? They do realize how frustrating it will be for businesses to change their taxation for just one month, right? When you have the Canadian Federation of Independent Businesses criticizing it and calling it gimicky, then you really have to wonder how they are coming up with policy. I do like their pledge to add tariffs to countries with high carbon output, but I'd imagine there would be tons of exceptions from industries that are reliant on cheap Chinese goods.

No worries, you can always ship them to another province state that does have capacity. 🙄

It's getting tough for me to keep track of the elements that have fractured off the CPC. We have Bernier, Sloan, Western Independence Party, any others? I remember hearing one that was only going to run in ridings where the CPC didn't hold a seat or had a chance to. I don't know how all these parties view vote splitting.

Its like an alien coming to earth and studying what is popular and connects with people the trying it themselves. I bet they were thinking it would go viral and show them to be the hip new Conservatives.

CFL Week 1 Games (Non-Bombers) Thread
WildPath replied to M.O.A.B.'s topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Watch the first part of the 2019 season. Nichols was on and had a good arm with accurate balls, even deep balls. That's not the memory I had of him. I remember him as being decent with the short passes and playing ball control offense. The start of the 2019 season showed he had legit skills. Hopefully he can overcome the shoulder injury as he is just a shell of where he was at his best. -
You're missing the point. It's not about the picks being right or wrong, its about satisfying an audience.

What about Wilder? His insistence on the crop top? Cause that makes it look pretty bush league out there. Penalize him every damn time. -
CFL Week 1 Games (Non-Bombers) Thread
WildPath replied to M.O.A.B.'s topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
First week of the season and I am already super frustrated with the CFL music promotion BS. You gotta wonder how much they make to promote horrible acts and get broadcasters to talk about them. -
Odd choice for quotations. Hoping you're doing an oil change

After this past July, an ice age sounds pretty great.

Pretty sick of changing masking from required to recommended. Pretty obvious the people more likely the spread the disease - Covid deniers, anti-restriction types will definitely not wear a mask and will likely contribute to more spread and longer that regular, sane folk have to be more cautious. Taking away the provincial requirement also puts business owners in a bad place for deciding how they will approach things. I've already hear

I've rewatched the first few games from 2019 and he was used as a deep threat as well as a short pass YAC guy. He actually did fairly well on some deep balls. Nichols was actually way more accurate with the deep balls in the first few games than I remember too. I haven't recently watched the second half of the 2019 season, but I do remember being disappointed by Lucky as he wasn't doing as well as the hopes I had for him after his early success.
