It's crazy to think how different the narrative around this team and the legacy of this team will be in a matter of three hours or so. The 80s teams always are immortal giants in my mind as a kid growing up and a win tonight will mean that our team of this last few years has surpassed them, which would be really cool after 29 years of not winning the big game.

I was in the middle of booking when my wife reminded me that our little girls birthday party is Sunday. That said, it would have been 8 hours of driving to and from Halifax, and 18 hours of flying and connecting to get to Vancouver and home. I'll be there in spirit
