how many CFL qb's come in new and set the world on fire, and, once opponents get game tape on them they come crashing down to earth? it happens every year. the only difference here is that willy had so much hype built into him by our media and organization some people still cant separate the man from the myth. glenn has been consistent his whole career and is a winner. everything willy isnt.

I assume you mean Kevin Glenn. Going to go ahead and point out a few problems with that comparison. 1) Glenn had a very good win to loss ratio with the Bombers 2) Glenn took us to a Grey Cup and barring a fluke broken arm would have delivered it to us 3) Willy hasn't demonstrated in any way shape or form his 3 years he's been here with us that he's a starting QB. You can't pay someone 400k a year to be the leagues 13th best QB.

Where were you hearing this? Can you cite actual players saying this who aren't Blue Bombers? Otherwise, who cares? Someone joins our team and says "I want to play for coach" it's just typical pleasantries. And lets say that some how MOS has built a reputation of being a players coach, what results has that netted us?

If we go 0-6 or 1-5 as I expected, and predicted, then NOT firing MOS is basically giving up on the season in my view. The season isn't really over until labour day, and if you can get things turned around before then you can at least give yourself a chance. Let's revisit this hiring. He was a special teams coordinator for just a handful of seasons. He wasn't a seasoned coach who was the head of a small program or school somewhere. He was a player who became a special teams coordinator, and was handed the responsibility of a football team way too early. This is painfully obvious now. He wants to be buddies with his team, not their coach. If you fire him before this season totally implodes, perhaps you can get some better results with a different voice and a different message. But staying on track with a total loser at the helm is giving up and throwing the white towel in the ring.

People are, correctly, talking about when he should be fired, and, his failings as a coach. Inexcusable loyalty to bad players not pulling them out of the game to try other players when things dont go well Willy- Terrible decision making. Panics in pocket. Happy feet. Unable to read a defense or a blitz. Unwilling or unable to stretch the D with long passes. Poor game clock management. Results are very poor wins to losses. I would give this post more credence if this was the NFL. It's a 9 team league with huge roster turn over year to year; you don't need a 5 year plan. If Ottawa can become a very skilled team in 2 years starting from zero, then Walters has run out of excuses.
