  1. i wonder if we ruined drew willy or he wasnt that good to begin with?
  2. this team is a massive improvement from last year. lol anyways, on a more serious notes. MOS looks way over his head. we have a bad offensive line. our coordinators on both sides of the ball are routinely being out coached. bring your brooms fellas, cuz its a mess.
  3. They could lose every remaining game and it would still be a huge improvement from last year, I think you are forgetting just how bad they were last year. Out of the game before the first quarter was done more nights than not, at least this time when they're getting beaten it's after a close game. I just don't subscribe to this logic. I think it matters where the losses and wins happen. If we had started off this bad, and recently won 5 of 6 I could agree. But were regressing so sharply that has to be taken into account. If we lose every game remaining in the season, including to a terrible Ottawa team, this team is in deep trouble next season. Wins in July and August mean nothing if the team completely falls apart. I just don't get how that's not understood,.
  4. god i hope we win. im really getting tired of losing. if we do lose tonight i wonder if people will still keep insisting we've made such big improvements from last year.,
  5. Wambulance mfranc? LOL Nothing will bring me greater pleasure than watching the Riders lose in the playoffs this year. Zilch. You're coming on here beaking off about your team beating one of the worst teams in CFL history and it took overtime to do it. Yes, your team got away with another touchdown return where 2 infractions occurred. Stop trying to passing it off as if its a magical balancing act. It was a screw up and a bad call. No tears, no crying, no waahmbulance or however you hip kids spell it. Your team is overrated and will crash hard. Facts.
  6. True. Problem with some posters around here is they only see the bad officiating when they want to and turn a blind eye when they don't want to see it. The only thing worse than incompetent boobery that costs teams a game with terrible non calls is when fans who receive those calls then proclaim that calls were missed both ways.
  7. missed block to the back and a roughing the kicker both missed on a touchdown play. stay competent, cfl officials lol
  8. I didn't call out any one person. Rather I said just take the whole post in. Over reaction by you and no, lol, no apology will be forthcoming.
  9. If anyone wants some entertainment go read the thread for this at rfans. I honestly can say that if anyone was neutral on rider fans they can go there and see for themselves first hand what kind of football fans they are. Absolute classless pigs of a fan base. I can't wait for Calgary or Edmonton or whoever to roll them hard in the playoffs.
  10. As much as a tool box I think mfranc is its not fair to bring his rider fans posts to question here.
  11. Was he smiling?
  12. nothing would be sweeter than to see Ottawa come into the triangle and dismantle that team.
  13. So, as long as they stayed in their gaps, and made their tackles, the run defence would work….sounds about right. So, what does that tell you? It means 1 of 3 things. 1) He has the wrong scheme for the players 2) His players arent good enough 3) His players arent being coached properly or a combination. A lot of this lands on Etch but O'Shea is a defensive minded coach and likely spends a lot of time there.
  14. Don't know what you mean even though you put it so eloquently. I just don't like fans putting words into our Coach's mouth, that eventually get repeated, when the actual words they use are not what O'Shea said in the first place. Pretty sure MOS also said that he didnt think the run game WOULD be a problem as long as guys made their tackles and stayed in their lanes, something to that effect. This was at least a month ago. Since then we've given up over 6 yards a carry easily for a month.
  15. it would really put a damper on my trip home in october. i can see us giving calgary a tough time at home with drew. without drew i fear it would be a total beat down. stay buddy.
  16. I'm not sure why you're taking such a point against this. MOS said the running game isn't a problem for our D. It clearly is as evidenced again where another CFL team just runs roughshod over us.
  17. who said it was? but one halfback had 6 yards a carry, the other nearly 8 yards a carry. 160 yards combined. that's not going to be good enough.
  18. Yeah but Resurrection is a troll over there and doesn't count. Lol...Resurrection is pretty funny in the game day threads. He repeatedly puts his foot in his mouth. Aww I have a little follower and fan club member. How cute.
  19. i agree. rfans.com has lots of non rider fans on it, and this site should want to aspire to that as well.
  20. the ass hat that he is also spelled Winnipeg wrong with a 2nd god damn E. Jackass.
  21. I will agree, those 2 throws are back breakers BUT we shouldnt even be in those positions to have to force those throws... Also, the guy whos making those ints is the same cool customer who has orchastrated 2 (or 3?) Unreal last minute combacks.. Good with bad.. Unreal comebacks against the East. The interceptions are completely unacceptable. A #1 QB gets you those comeback wins while also not throwing games away. It's what makes qb's great. Frankly the lustre we saw on Drew is coming off mighty fast. Do you realize Willy is essentially a rookie? He's still learning but has all the tools, both mental and physical, that you'd want in your starting QB. He can be a rookie until the cows come home but he's had years learning behind Durant and is 28. And bad decision making isn't something you can necessarily fix overnight. If Willy indeed does have bad decision making and can be made to panic in the pocket we're in for a very very long rebuild.
  22. Maybe has O'Shea made some changes or adjustments we'd have won. I don't care what he says in the paper as long as he makes adjustments and or at least acknowledges problems. Our run defence is being torched right now and he refuses to admit there's even a concern.

  24. http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/sports/football/bombers/Sellout-crowd-for-the-11th-annual-Banjo-Bowl-274267651.html?cx_navSource=d-tiles-1 Winnipeg Blue Bombers head coach Mike O’Shea insisted repeatedly last week he wasn’t worried — not about his team's porous run defence, not about key injuries on special teams, and especially not about the fact his team had lost three of four games coming into Sunday’s Banjo Bowl at Investors Group Field. Well, if O’Shea wasn’t worried, he should have been. Because when the smoke settled on a 30-24 loss to the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Sunday, O’Shea’s team had given up a season-worst 196 yards rushing, his special teams yielded 16 points, and the Bombers are now last in the CFL's West Division with a 6-5 record. This from a team that opened the season at 5-1 is now 1-4 in their last five. BOMBERS SCORES SASKATCHEWAN30 WINNIPEG24 FINALBoxscore Powered by Sports Direct Inc. "No, I don’t think so," O’Shea insisted. "I don’t look at it that way, I don’t. Being a first-year head coach is good like that, isn’t it?"So, coach, are you worried now? Perhaps. But even O’Shea can't ignore the West Division standings, which are speaking loud and clear about a Bombers team that has gone from the penthouse to the cellar in the last five weeks thanks to three losses to the Riders and another to the Toronto Argonauts. What now? Good question, said Bombers offensive tackle Glenn January. "This will be a good test for us. And I do think we have guys in this locker-room who can pull us out of this drought. There’s a lot of football left to be played and our destiny is still in our hands." Unfortunately, Winnipeg will have to meet that destiny in the West Division, where the Bombers are a division-worst 1-4 this season. Winnipeg will face West Division teams in five of their final seven games, Saturday in Vancouver against the Lions.
