  1. Well would Ottawa have been finishing first in the east if Toronto or Hamilton hadn't had the injuries they did? Ottawa's key to success this year was being the only team to stay healthy at qb and offensive line. Makes a huge ******* difference. Excuses and stats are for losers.
  2. I'm sorry but it is surprising and pathetic. This is a league where 6 of 9 teams make it to the playoffs and a number of those years 6 of 8. I mean, really.
  3. When I realized that it was official, that we are now at 25 years of no championships 100%, I kind of got angry for about 10 seconds. I thought of all the years this team has let me down. The Grey Cup in Montreal vs Calgary comes to mind. Losing the Riders in Toronto. Bumbling all the years of Khari and Milt and choking them away in the playoffs (Losing the Cup, then the west final, then the semi final). The embarrassment of the unfinished business campaign; the ugliest jerseys in pro sports for the last 3 (three?) years; the stadium debacle; and generally cheap management who would sooner clink plastic wine glasses at an Earls and celebrate money saved than doing things correctly. Then it quickly turned to numb apathy. I grew up watching this team because my Brother, Dad, and Grandfather watched this team and loved them with me. My Dad lives in Calgary across town from me and doesn't care anymore, my brothers is in Windsor and is a Lions fan, and my Grandfather has long since passed. There's no one else here in town who cares. Why do I? This team does nothing but find new and hillarious ways to crap on all of us. The newest one is to bring back the clownshow that brought us 2 years of more terrible football. Blame Willy being hurt all you want. This team stinks from safety to runningback and everything in between. But if you listen to some posters here, we should bring back the same crew of idiots who put this crap show together. It's like a beaten woman defending her abusive loser husband, scared of change because continuity and sticking by your man is some how perceived as admirable. It's not. It's short sighted, and gutless. This franchise is a pox on my recreational life. I spend many a nights/afternoons unwinding from work watching them and it's been the worst bargain of my life for the last 25 years. I'd have been better off converting to a Stamps fan when I moved her a long time ago, but I had too much pride in my hometown to do so. In short, #&^$ this team. See you next year, of course. #LifeOfaBomberFan
  4. .... ottawa went from zero to great in 1 off season.
  5. why do you think it takes 5 years to build a good team in a 9 team league? with such high roster turn over from every team year to year?
  6. we beat another bad team in BC and of course as soon as we faced a decent team like Ottawa (2nd year franchise lol @us) we lost. stunned if we win next week, frankly. this team is just appalling.
  7. signing him was yet another bad move by a bad team run by bad managers. at least hes gone.
  8. Extending oshea is actually being discussed? Jesus lol.
  9. man alive, you hate everyone not named willy amirite? nichols did enough for this team to win vs a VERY good edmonton team. our piece of garbage kicker left 10 on the board. should be a W. Nichols was great.
  10. 2-10 after our mirage hot start last year. 4-10 so far this year. so after our bullcrap start last season, we've played 20 games and lost 16 of them. awesome possum.
  11. So which was more likely? #1) still. I think what you meant to ask was "so, what was the answer"
  12. O'Shea sounds like such a tool. I hate that guy.
  13. Players seem to think they did nothing wrong on that no end call, after hearing Nichols on the radio. That means 1) Coaches didnt prepare them correctly (shocker) 2) Refs made a mistake. Guess which one is more likely
  14. MOS and MB both need their walking papers.
  15. It's a NINE team league. Teams are very transient. The idea you need a 5 year plan in the CFL to turn things around is absurd. MOS and Walters are flat lining, if not going backwards. There's dozens of examples demonstrating that you dont need to give every regime 3 years minimum to prove they can do it. Either you make good choices at hiring and signing or you don't. This crew of losers have proved they cant. Move on.
  16. lol goalie. you are truly hillarious. go away.
  17. Can you please stop with this bullcrap about Marcel being our interim head coach if MOS gets fired? I don't know which hole of your body you pulled that out of but it's really annoying.
  18. Nichols had a fantastic game. His fumble deep in Sask territory is definitely on him, but anyone blaming him for the interception or other fumble is high. He got smoked from behind hard... if that was Willy in the pocket no one would question it. And the pick? Receiver got 2 hands on it and proceeded to lateral it to a Rider. Not on Nichols.
  19. This isn't church. Willy, MOS, etc, are all human beings with measurable track records. We aren't talking about something hypothetical or fiction from 2000 years ago. No faith need be discussed... simply look at the results and the trend of things worsening.
  20. I see a lot of buzz words and phrases. Patience. Build for success. Build a foundation. etc etc etc I feel these phrases are being used by people who want to justify their own blind faith. This is a 9 team transient league. Roster turn over is remarkable and very fast paced. Ottawa in year 2 of their expansion team is already miles ahead of us. In the CFL the difference between a good team and bad one is management. Calgary, Toronto, and even Saskatchewan have been very competitive and consistent for years and they've done it with the same recipe: smart moves for coaching staff and players. You either make good personnel decisions or you don't. This team is actually looking like it might be worse this year than last year. And people want to give the keys to these same bozos again? Why? So we can all feel good about being patient and giving people time to build a foundation? There's no foundation here. It's another shanty built on a beach. The Bombers are the worst built team in the CFL by a mile... and there's no reason to think that Walters has the ability to turn this around. He hired a 3 year special teams coordinator to be our coach. A coach who's been so badly out maneuvered in a season and a half by the rest of the league it's actually becoming an ordeal to watch this team in the 2nd half of games. Walters also failed to address our Qb situation and left this team with an injury prone QB with no one behind him. No one. Not to mention insisting on keeping MB... the worst OC in the CFL. I fully believe and agree you should give people time to build something. But this trio of guys are showing they dont have the decision making or football intelligence to compete with the rest of the league. To earn patience you should have to demonstrate some form of improvement. There is none.
  21. I'd love to have a boss like noeller or 17/85. Just screw the pooch royally, and be given slack because, hey, why not. I love that people have cited so many examples of how there's no such thing as a coaches graveyard scaring away quality people. Bombers are simply cheap and don't want to hire the best people like Toronto, Calgary, or Hamilton did. Hamilton fired coaches almost annually until they got the right person ffs. Just 2 years ago. MOS was a bad hire. Walters was a bad hire. Firing them and paying handsomely for the right people is the solution. But like another poster said, this cheap org would rather clink plastic cups together at Earls and celebrate savings.
  22. http://morningbigblue.com/community/topic/5091-oshea-hands-away-the-ldc/ rewind to last years LDC. I was already well on board the OShea sucks train. My personal favourite is mfranc saying that oshea is the best thing to have happened to the bombers in forever lol. lulz.
  23. I would take this kind of post from you more seriously if you made the same excuses for Marve. You didn't. You chose to crap all over him instead.Marve wasn't 21 of 26 for 184 yards. If you really think brohm was the problem I suggest you watch again.Yea but ressurection is marves rah rah guy tho so any chance he gets to dog anyone other then marve.. I'm done with marve and behind Nichols now based on evidence.
  24. yep. brown with some real questions. good for him
  25. I would take this kind of post from you more seriously if you made the same excuses for Marve. You didn't. You chose to crap all over him instead. Marve wasn't 21 of 26 for 184 yards. If you really think brohm was the problem I suggest you watch again. What did Brohm do out there? Dinking 3 yard passes? hey great job. Brohms average pass was 5 yards. He ran directly into sacks. Under threw players by routine. Was slow to make decisions. This is why we had a whopping 10 points going into the final parts of the game before garbage time. And if not for the gifted turn over we woudlnt even would have had that touchdown. Brohm was no btter than Marve. Period.
