The closer we get to this game the more I want the 3-peat, as if that was even possible. 2019 people loved the story of breaking the drought 2021 people kept on about the single point, ignoring the wind, ignoring all the amazing plays leading up to the victory 2022 I’m almost sick to my stomach wanting this so bad. The Dunigan years in the 90’s should have been a dynasty but the football gods left us bent over the barrel. Bombers have defied streaks, curses, stats, injuries, refs, fate on the way to the top. I don’t think a new dynasty is too much to ask or hope for!

1. Brady - guy would not be denied. Spinning away as Purifoy held a leg, trying to turn him upside down… awesome. When he pops up outta the pile all jacked up, you know it was a gooder 2. Defense - challenged everything, sure tackling. Played fast and hit harder. Linebacker blitz that levelled Rourke late was pure art. 3. O-Line - after that 3rd quarter run drive, BC had had enough. Enough of getting trucked in the cold and enough of being shown who they are. HH to the home crowd! Electric atmosphere and influenced the Lions on O. Absolutely fantastic

The thirst and desperation for the 2019 cup was crazy, and then the next cup to show we weren’t just a one-and-done. Want this win sooooo bad so we have a chance at a 3-peat. I viewed the ‘11 cup loss as the dam breaking on Swaggerville. Not enough plays made but BC was also white hot at the time. The O had to show up and be productive and all we got was BC stacking the box everytime Watson pinched in to block for Chris Garrett. The result was infuriatingly predictable.

BC has a decent run game and last game the Bombers stopped it cold, early when both teams were playing hard. Whoever comes out of the West Semi stands to get slapped by Hall’s playoff-mode defence.

Our guys never will say it publicly… but with tools like M.Sayles crowing and Rhymes being his usual whiny self… BC had it coming. Lions with all the press resulted in a big flex by the Bombers, just like the first time they met this year.
