Alright, I’m going to flat out admit you caught me mistakenly being agreeable for agreeable’s sake. I don’t care if he’s great, mediocre or terrible. I do know he’s a dirtbag on the field and a headshot artist. When you said you “love that Awe is playing mlb”... you meant that as a “this is good for the Bombers” ?

Oh I don’t doubt his talent - I agree Awe is good when he plays to stop the run and rallies to the ball with speed and energy in zone. Just that he’s also good for a couple headshots every game as well, which I can’t stand.

Only Argo defender that concerns me is Micah Awe. Dude is a head hunter and hasn’t done a d@mn thing to change his high tackling style. Expect a few redmist moments when he earholes a few of our guys with the crown of his helmet... and no calls.

I remember when Glenn returned to back up Nichols... O’Shea did a TSN interview and was asked about the 07 Eastern Final. He was super honest about he and Eiben realizing soon after the game that they “really did take something away” from KG. However, I’m not sure Glenn would care too much about the 2019 Bombers laying a beatdown on the league worst Argos 🤷🏻‍♂️

Please not Nelson. Lawler or Bailey are more deserving after the poor showing by Nelson last game.

Just love how this game turned out. The stadium in Regina went from gurgling toilet bowl to stone cold mausoleum. I actually had to stop guffawing and mocking every Rider mishap... my family (who are diehard Blue fans) started looking at me as if I had suffered personality-altering brain damage.

I dare say that if Nichols could have stayed in the game, likely the turnovers don’t happen, and they hang 40 on Ottawa.

Fantastic recap, thank you as always! I was also fuming at the non-call where Streveler was clearly sliding and then got earholed by a defender. I think that might have even been on the same drive that Harris got blatantly facemasked.

Not especially worried about the defence. I think Ottawa’s d is about to get tuned in. If Cody Fajardo can lame duck his way to 40 against the allcaps, then a hungry Bomber offence should experience a bit of an unleashing here.

Great game. Bombers D-line was crushing the pocket early on. If they are so bad then how come BC played max protect with 7 blockers for long stretches? Definitely some miscues in the secondary made the zone coverage look especially soft at times, but seemed to get better as the game continued and Reilly started up with the desperate throws. Fenner, Sayles and Alexander had some good and some really bad moments. I chalk it up to adrenaline and needing a few more games to gel as a unit.

Archetypal pre-season game. Loved seeing flashes of the potential our fellow MBB members described in camp. Still stoked on Richardson and McAlister, less so on Whitehead. Hot damn I almost forgot what it was like to start the weekend with drinks AND a Bombers victory!!

Anyone else super pumped that Streveler gets a full rookie and main camp this year? From what I recall he missed all (or most) of training camp last season, and next thing you know he’s impressing us as the starter in-relief. Pre-season hopes in full flight for this fan!

Couldn’t be happier with the Matthews signing. With trolls like P Friesen jumping out of the weeds and declaring FA a failure - feels good to know they can go shove it!

Speaking for myself, being pissed off as a diehard fan doesn’t even remotely resemble jumping off the bandwagon. If you want to see the limping hordes and their busted ankles go to the Jets instagram feed!

WHY JETS?!! WHY YOU MAKE ME SO MAD?!! The soft play to end games drives me insane. No attacking the puck, no skating, no physicality... and forget any sort of push back o-zone time. Ugh, is this some sort of deliberate strategy by the Jets? A season series-long rope-a-dope? They’ve sleepwalked through almost every Stars game this year. If this ends up being our first round match up, can we expect our team to ignite come playoff time?

I fully expect a very surly Jets team ready to kick as$ and take names... nay, I demand it!
