  1. Bummed to hear about Randle being cut loose. Him coming over from a perennial contender was big when our franchise was still in shambles. I’m a big fan of his and sorry to see him go... was so sure he’d be a part of the next Blue Bomber championship roster 😢. Wish him nothing but happiness and success.
  2. Well yeah I know this - but many pundits/fans really spent a lot of time pointing out why the Bombers would win handily. In reality it was a hard fought win with both teams giving it everything. Our guys were just flat out better today!
  3. I can understand why it was such a hard call to make, but yeah I’m not complaining either. Thought this mic’d up game once again showed the vastly different character of each coach. Dickenson: screaming at the refs “he can’t do that! Hey he can’t do that!” O’shea: to his players “go get it - you go get it”
  4. Huge win and was it just me or was this almost a trap game in sheep’s clothing? Calgary has looked lost and on the decline (both sides of the ball actually) for a little while now. So on the one hand they come in snarly... while the Bombers are off a 4 game win streak, and a bye week to soak in that feeling where everything was going right. Flat/tight in the 1st quarter but you could see everyone start to wake up and come alive midway through the 2nd. I thought that if the Bombers could just keep it a one possession game, then they’d have a chance to gain all the momentum. Best 3rd quarter all season and what a game to watch! Soooo happy to see the Bombers put it all together in a meaningful, hyped up game in front of the hometown crowd.
  5. I honestly don’t know who’s more annoying, Leafs fans or Riders fans? They both pop up everywhere like a damned fungus and act like their fandom is better and worth more than others... playing like azz at home only makes it more insufferable really rips me up! Need more rye ~reaches for bottle~
  6. Fantastic news on the heals of the 31-0 nothing beat down on Saturday! After Gray was released I was hoping it was just a matter of a time before Walters worked something out. Great Monday so far!
  7. If I was Jennings I’d fire my agent on the spot for such a stupid public comment. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.
  8. No we don’t. We lead the Esks in the season series due to point differential. An Esks win could put us in a spot to potentially chase down Sask for 2nd.
  9. This was a classic CFL game. Lots of offence, lots of points. Our D wasn’t lights out invincible like last game, but still managed impressive stretches mid-game where they iced T.Harris and Powell repeatedly. Also bailed out the O on the fumbles and bad snaps by holding the all-caps to field goals. Sure it was frustrating to watch the lid come off of Ottawa’s potent quick-strike O at the end, but those guys are elite at times (I’m sure R-B fans can’t stand the streakiness of their team). Like I said, classic CFL game. The refs were busy and jobbed the Bombers on wrong calls, non calls, and ridiculous spots. But overall the Bombers played way cleaner than Ottawa and the penalty yardage bears that out. It was great to see Nichols much more back to his old self, especially at this time of year. A win like this sets us up for more than just revenge against Sask next week. Feeling good about this victory warts and all.
  10. Would love to see the Bombers D pick up where they left off and show they can dominate no matter who is on the field. The last month they’ve been on a mission despite a craptastic offence. As for Ottawa... there seems to be this persistent notion that Mark Nelson is still their DC. Noel Thorpe is their DC this season.
  11. Some (mainly rider fans) now saying Edmonton made the Bombers look good by mailing it in... Eskies weren’t just standing around smoking cigarettes - they just got curb stomped by a Bombers team that wanted it more.
  12. Look around the league... battle-tested heart and soul of the team just cranked out a 90 point season while kids like Draisaitl in Edmonton are already 8.5 million and up. Wheeler’s salary is well deserved. The Jets are in this crazy window of ‘win now’ yet still have a surprising amount of cap space. The talented prospects are coming out of the woodwork and are fighting for a spot on the club this year. Need a captain like Wheeler to guide the youth.
  13. The one with Randle’s failed ass-tackle? I thought Sayles 37 was the last one chasing on that one. Maybe a different play you’re referring to. If so... ugh yup just bad all around
  14. I still maintain that a lot of the continued weaknesses come down to roster management and less so recruitment. How many guys are rotting on the practice roster (Flanders, C.Washington) while Lankford and Wild are on the field. I mean how is Wild on the field defending 2nd and long when you’ve got Fenner playing only special teams?!
  15. Five years in and can’t find receivers? How about wondering why every year there are intriguing or exciting receiver prospects in camp (this year Corey Washington sits idle), yet our coaching staff either cuts them or strands them on the practice roster... while scrubs like Lankford get the tap on the shoulder??
  16. What the... did you just call Mike O’Shea a unicorn - with a flowing mane made of rainbows?
  17. Corey Washington or Kenbrell Thompkins please!
  18. Streveler was warming up halfway through the 4th quarter... and then Demski gifted the Argos with a fumble return TD to put them back to two possessions behind.
  19. Bit of both? The few times he got his hands on the ball he lost yards. Bad play calling plus Winnipeg defenders ready for him all game long.
  20. Great game plan eliminating Wilder Jr and passes were heavily contested more often than not. I really enjoyed seeing our defense at work in this game.
  21. I wanted to laugh and smh at the same time. Yeah we make fun of Argo attendance (rightly so), but I’m frightened for the health of this franchise, and by extension, the cfl.
  22. I am just hoping for high intensity yet sound play from the Bombers. I usually dread afternoon games as the chance of them coming out flat seems high (could be ptsd from all those LDC losses). Oh and since I’m in Edmonton and don’t have CJOB, I hope air horn guy from the Edm at TO game puts a cork in it!
  23. Man the last game of the regular season, I actually felt a little bad for Buckley. It was like the Bomber D took out a season’s worth of frustration out on the poor guy. Sacks, fumbles, interceptions AND injury. Bo standing on the sideline while they kept limp/trotting him out there like the black knight from Monty Python Too bad that’ll be his last memory as a pro football player.
  24. The way the Bombers lost this one had me hopping mad in front of my dear old parents. 17-0 at the half should have been 27-0... and 34-7 if Streveler gets the 1st down when they were on the BC 7 yard line. It was still 17-0 in the 3rd quarter when that sinking feeling just wouldn’t go away. No more run plays... just these god awful 3-5 yard passes into the flat for 2 and outs. Felt like the refs sole mission was to drag Lulay kicking and screaming into a the 4th quarter still with a chance to make a comeback. And then none of that mattered when the Jennings-Nichols Vulcan mind meld was completed. To summarize, the Bombers second half was suckier than the Lions first half, so we lost. This one made me angrier than when the Jets laid an egg in Game 3 against Minnesota this spring!
