  1. We may never know, but it would be cool to hear Lapo's thoughts on Thorpe leaving. I also thought he fit our offense perfectly. The considerations for Lankford on kick returns (which some of us don't necessarily agree with) kept Thorpe off the gameday roster, and forced Lapo to play the inferior receiver.
  2. I dislike both teams intensely, but at this juncture I absolutely refuse to posit that the Riders winning is the lesser of two evils. Besides, the angel on my shoulder tells me the best outcome is for Bo Levi Mitchell to recognize that the Riders "are discovering what kind of team they are" and that he's going to "continue showing them that" ?
  3. Good God admin pls delete lol sorry folks
  4. You highlighted the answer to your own question. The sask db was trailing Adams when the trip happened. By the wording, inadvertent or deliberate is irrelevant in this case. If you chase and trip, penalty and that's that. Is it a good rule? Not certain but it seems the call was correct on the Adams PI.
  5. This isn't the Cleveland Indians and Chief Wahoo for crying out loud. This must be Rod Pedersen masquerading as a real life journalist... only he or another rider fan would play the victimized minority card. There are real politics and real issues in society that actually struggle with. The 98.7% (my random guess) Caucasian rider fan base doesn't count, and no I don't think taxpayers should have to shell out for their cosmetic dental surgeries ?
  6. Doesn't surprise me that people are downplaying the 4 decibel difference in peak loudness. Newsflash for the unwashed - decibel level isn't a linear measurement (quadratic logarithm)! 108 vs 104 is so much louder that Mosaic isn't even close.
  7. Not good enough in this game sure, but you don't fire the OC for one stinker. Hall has served up a secondary scheme that makes the rest of the CFL look all world for several seasons now...
  8. The O has saved the bacon all season long... agree with the OP stop for a short gain on 1st... cue the 12-18 yd pass on 2nd down into the zooooone ?
  9. If Jeffcoat is good to go, then Okpalaugo should sit so that the Bomber D-line can deliver a big ol' serving of Poop... right into Glenn's grill.
  10. Seems to me Loffler is having a bit of a sophomore jinx... and yet I can't help but think many times he's the victim of looking bad on TV making up for other players mistakes or the zone scheme. There was one play in the second half where he tackles Rutley on a pass and run. Guess what happy duo are *standing* right there, passing a cigarette back and forth?! Surprise! It's Knox and Hurl. Why in the name of all that's Blue is the frickin Safety having to bail out the MLB and WIL?!
  11. You've got to wonder if Wally is pressing with Jennings because he's supposed to be the future of the franchise. We know how he can move on from veteran players even when they are still playing at a very high level. Look at Andrew Harris. Yes he wanted to come home but Wally wasn't going to open the vault to get him to stay. It's been said/theorized on this forum that Buono was done with a running back near 30 years old. Lulay is healthy right now and should have played the last two games. The standings in the West would be even crazier if he had.
  12. I entreat the court to consider that our sophomore kicker (he of the clutch trick kicks and the not-clutch in game misses) was completely cursed; he single handedly lost a home game vs Edmonton where Nichols repeatedly put them into scoring position, only to have Lirim miss what... six field goals?! I have to look back but I'm sure there were other close losses due to either kicking or the Etch-a-sketch D making opposing offences look all-time.
  13. Does this mean the Hamilton D will be in turmoil next week or more of a handful? You only have film on how they've played so far... game planning on O will be interesting.
  14. He's so biased to anything Montreal does... and you can see his soul crying in agony whenever he has to praise the Bombers. Calling that helmet to helmet hit on Nichols 'form tackling' ended it for me. No use for Climie at all.
  15. Pretty sure Bass was our MLB when Wild came back from the NFL.
  16. No O, too many injuries on D and the inexperience + sloppy tackling making us look as bad as Hamilton
  17. CARMICHAEL. Getting burned or hanging his teammates out to dry. He's gotta go!
  18. He actually catches it, tucks it and as he's getting up to run he punches the ball out with his other hand... if that isn't a catch and then loss of possession then I haven't been watching football long enough (I started remembering games in 84). The c'mon centre really fumbled that call ?
  19. About Bass... I find this impossible to believe. He brought the lumber when the chance was there, and if you missed him suplex'ing Jerome Messam last year well... it looked like he enjoyed that! I will say that as a MLB there were times he simply chose the wrong lane, contributing to explosion plays by the opposing offence.
  20. TSN already fapping to three assists for Matthews over Laine's two goals... the bias is puketastic
  21. Watching Bass at MLB last year, it was painfully apparent that he often went for the wrong gap on run plays. My observation is that he wasn't necessarily getting bulldozed mano-a-mano, he was caught trying to catch up and/or being dragged along off of weak arm tackles.
  22. Tori Gurley got flushed with the whole TO receiving crew (on account of attitude) yet we were almost unanimously happy he was signed last season. Players leave clown shows to become good teammates and productive roster additions all the time. No reason that can't/won't happen with Stanford. Carter on the other hand...
  23. What a fantastic find Mr Dee!! Thx for posting it
