CFL - 2024 Regular Season - Discussion Thread

The awards system can have flaws and the 3downnation picks can be garbage at the same time. -
Of course not but players are superstitious. If they feel good in those uni's then roll with it.

CFL - 2024 Regular Season - Discussion Thread

Also Mahomes (or any great QB) wouldn’t even complain about his back up being good. Could you imagine Zach whining about Brown doing well and spitting the locker room? Just go out there and play better than your back up Cody! -
Lapo on the Bombers D in the WF too
-
Agree but since they just kicked ass in all blue I’ve got no problem with rolling with it
-
Directly related but to me it’s turnovers. That’s how we lost the last 2 cups and how Toronto just beat Montreal. If the offence plays clean the D should take care of business.
-
Ya he seems pretty easy to just tip over
-
To me it looks like they’ve changed how they’re using Kramdi and that has made a huge difference. Haven’t seen him covering downfield much which is what he struggled with the most. Keep him near the LOS and he’s excelled.
-
Got to rematch the game at 4AM (thanks to having a 10 month old). Great game to rewatch without all the stress of live action. Kramdi was great and fired up. He’s really looked good since they stopped having him have any kind of deep responsibility. Closed fast on short receptions and runs. Holm obviously rose to the challenge. So many pass break ups. Whole O was great. Oline kept the riders in check. Zach looks as good as he has since he’s been here. Brady doing Brady things. Dline looked a little more aggressive and attacking the QB than we’ve seen lately
-
I didn’t like the defensive roster when it was released but the results speak for themselves. The extra DBs didn’t allow any riders to be open quick and the dline/lbs flustered Harris enough to make him totally ineffective. Riders didn’t have immediate success rushing so they quit on it. D showed good rally the ball to limit the runs (other than one big one)
-
Hell yeah can’t wait for climate controlled dome Zach
-
How many wins did he get?
-
Wilson would be a great #3, which was the plan to start the year. wheatfall isn’t there yet.
-
They’ll both cost less than this year
-
Yes, he is way better than everyone not named Lawler
-
Hell take Brady out now too
-
Love to see ZC come to play. Keep him off the field for the rest of the game. No cold weather for the cup too
-
Holm was best a few times earlier but he’s been great the last few drives
-
Holm beat him to the ball. Should be no PI. Who knows with the cc
-
Let’s go! Send them home crying.

Getting pressure on Harris is tough at the best of times because he gets the ball out so quick. We had what we thought was the best Dline rostered last game against Mtl and they didn't generate any pressure it is all moot. Agree with a few posters above that my biggest worry with the Dline is against the run. They have been susceptible to big runs all year and Armstead is dangerous. Oulette hasn't been great this year but can explode at times. (Nightmare flashbacks to the 2003 playoffs and Kenton Keith)
-
I guess the plan is to just not bother to have a Dline (since we can't pass rush anyway) and just drop 11 DBs and LBs into coverage while Jake engages the Oline.
-
Well this take did not age well.
-
I’d guess just BA on for Bridges. Kelly to backup safety and extra DB after Griffin. Maybe Nick Taylor on if BA can’t go He’s never been lights out like he can be but he is 7-2 in the playoffs here.
-
Hopefully he's learned to not be injured (2022) and to not have all of his receivers be injured (2023)
