  1. RedBlacks self-destructing, dammit. Dru is gonna have to toss at least 5 TDs to win.
  2. According to TSN stats, Dru and Kelly are not that far apart- surprising. If Dru Brown cranks his game up a bit, it could be an interesting game despite the differences in on-field talent in receivers, running backs and O-lines.
  3. We had better see a change in Streveler's playbook. He will be a year older and every injury makes you a bit slower and a bit more vulnerable. IMO, a quarterback who runs (intelligently) 3-6 times per game changes the whole complexion of the game and opens up so many options. But if he runs every damned time he has the ball, that negates almost every advantage. And is going to cost the team in both money and adjustments when he inevitably goes down.
  4. But Ford is a lot quicker, IMO.
  5. TRE FORD HEADING TO MARKET #Elks Quarterback Tre Ford made some interesting comments today on Sports 1440 Sports radio. #1) Did not decline any package or plays - Stating he never declined to run any package at Quarterback (in which some media commented on/painting a picture he's not a team guy). Ford did decline to play receiver when he was drafted. #2) MBT supported Ford - Mccloud Bethel-Thompson helped Ford in the film room & supported Tre Ford when he was playing. A positive relationship with MBT. #3) Contact talks with Edmonton - No contract negotiations with Edmonton to date. Teammates have suggested he should test free agency. Ford is very interested in testing the market. Ford also seemed to have doubts in Simon/Jackson's belief in him as a starting Quarterback.
  6. Plus, he will be showcasing himself for a new team and maybe a fatter contract.
  7. If the Bombers play anywhere near their capabilities, yes.
  8. FYI: the price of most flights do vary according to date and demand. A friend who works in the travel business says the best time to try to book flights is Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons.
  9. The point is that Maas made a couple of strategic errors that would have changed the game, but perhaps not the ultimate outcome.
  10. That was no small feat and enough to gain him approbation.
  11. A professional gambler once told me that "you can't beat dumb luck, but you can't make a living with it".
  12. One of the damned few. He has hobbled us time and again. A couple of good plays do not offset that.
  13. Truth be told, we have not had even one dominant d-lineman this season, and, sadly, that includes Jefferson. No one on the D-line should be safe in the off-season.
  14. You are overestimating their tastes in playmates. They tend to lean towards the ovines. The blunt truth is that the Bombers won despite the coaches- again, and it is hard to make a living off miracles.
  15. And very friendly, too.
  16. We have just seen the hand of God in action.
  17. Divine intervention!
  18. Butbutbut.....our coaching is beyond reproach, right? Right?
  19. Get ready for more of the same next year.
  20. And we have the best RB in the league and we don't use him much at all. WTF?
  21. And it cannot be that hard to find a good punter- everyone else has
  22. Desperately
  23. And NONE in the offence.
  24. Nothing new there- been going on for the second season. I was addressing the downward spiral for the past two seasons and accelerating. O'Shea's rigidity in repeatedly fielding the same inadequate players when there have been viable alternatives should concern the GM. One bad year is happenstance. Two bad years is a pattern.
  25. Getting blown out repeatedly in embarrassing losses and doing nothing about it does.
