  1. Can't play here- has cat stuff tattooed up and down both arms. Maybe with a belt sander....?
  2. Both of her friends are heartbroken.
  3. That would depend on a) which end of the economic spectrum you are on and/or b) If you have a social conscience. Since so many construction workers are Hispanic and unregistered, abusing them is good Texas politics.
  4. The reality is that Jones is a terrible GM and has probably crippled the team by maxing out the player budget. If/when the new GM and/or coach comes in, there will be a helluva mess to clean up. The season is probably lost, one way or another.
  5. Agreed that the Bomber pass coverage was very poor, but Harris did drop a couple of nice passes into the receivers' hands.
  6. Jones may be the worst coach in the CFL, but no question that his reign in Edmonton will be memorable.
  7. In my practice, I sometimes see the results of boys and girls who grew up without a Dad. I say "dad" not "father" because they are quite different, and children who grow up without a father-figure (dad) are behaviourally and cognitively different that those who grow up with a dad in their lives. So, for what its worth, here are a few questions to ask your dad or perhaps might suggest to your offspring to ask you. The discussion can be uncomfortable and intimate but well worth doing, in my opinion. If your father is still in your life, consider broaching one of the topics below during your next phone call or weekend at home to gain some insight into the person he is: 1. As a kid, what did you think you wanted to do for a living? 2. In hindsight, is there a time you didn’t stand up for someone or something (a person, a cause) but wish you did? Why didn’t you at the time? 3. How has your idea of what it means to be a man changed over the span of your life? 4. What’s one thing your mom or dad always used to tell you growing up that turned out to be true? 5. What were some of your biggest insecurities when you were in high school? 6. Are you where you thought you’d be at this point in your life? 7. What was the first time you remember really getting your feelings hurt? By whom and what happened? 8. Who was the first person you said “I love you” to in a romantic context? Did he or she say it back? 9. (If your parents got married): What was the moment you realized you wanted to marry Mom or Dad? 10. If you could have dinner with three famous people, living or dead, who would they be? 11. What did a typical Friday night look like for you at age 17? 12. Is there something you’ve always wanted to do, but never got the chance? 13. When do you feel the happiest? 14. What’s one underrated but important skill a person should possess? 15. What’s the best gift you’ve ever received? 16. What has been your favorite age so far and why? 17. How do you want to be remembered?
  8. Netanyahu Says Israel Will Move Ahead On Contentious Judicial Overhaul Plan After Talks Crumble - ASSOCIATED PRESS TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday his government intends to move ahead on contentious plans to change the country’s judicial system after talks aimed at finding a compromise solution appeared to be crumbling. The government’s plans to overhaul the judiciary plunged Israel into one of its worst domestic crises ever earlier this year. Negotiations between the government and opposition parties somewhat alleviated the crisis with attempts to find a middle ground over proposed changes to the country’s justice system. Those talks were jolted last week over a crisis surrounding the powerful regular committee responsible for picking the country’s judges. Opposition leaders said negotiations were frozen until the committee is formed. At a meeting of his Cabinet on Sunday, Netanyahu said the opposition hadn’t been negotiating in good faith and that his government would move ahead cautiously on the overhaul. “This week, we will begin the practical steps. We will do them in a measured way, responsibly, but in accordance with the mandate we received to make corrections to the justice system,” he said. Netanyahu put the overhaul on hold in March after mass protests erupted in opposition to it. The decision to move ahead is likely to flare tensions and fuel the protest movement that has continued to demonstrate each Saturday, despite the plan being paused.
  9. New DOJ filing reveals more indictments coming against Trump team: ex-Watergate prosecutor Donald Trump and his team should brace for new indictments incoming based on a new filing in the criminal case brought by Jack Smith, a former Watergate prosecutor said on Saturday. Jill Wine-Banks, who served as a prosecutor during the Watergate scandal and was also the first female general counsel of the Army, appeared on MSNBC's Ayman on Saturday. She was asked about the recent filing in which Jack Smith mentions "ongoing investigations." "What do you make of that motion filed by the special counsel Jack Smith, and it's reference to material regarding quote, ongoing investigations?" the host asked. Wine-Banks said that the reference made it much more likely that another indictment is coming from one angle or another. "Of course, that raises the probability that Jack Smith and his team are going to have additional indictments. Whether that is for the January 6th, whether that is just adding additional people to the Mar-a-Lago documents case, or a third possibility, we don't know." She added that it is "ironic that there are no defenses, basically, to the case that's already been brought." "And so, there's always a rule for trial lawyers that if the law is on your side, stress the law. if the facts are on your side, stress the facts. And if neither is on your side, pound the table. And I'm afraid the defense lawyers to the extent that he has any, are going to have to pound the table. Because they don't have law or facts on their side." https://www.alternet.org/doj-filing-more-indictments-trump/
  10. A pointless effort by the Ilks.
  11. Could be a lot sooner than that but unless the Ilks get a decent QB, Moses could not lead this team to the promised land.
  12. Mitchell is saving himself for the playoffs.
  13. This game is as crushingly boring to watch as any other CFL game this year.
  14. New England Patriots Player Arrested At Boston Airport After Guns Found In Luggage: Police “We are in the process of gathering more information and will not be commenting further at this time," The Patriots said in a statement. EAST BOSTON, Mass. (AP) — A New England Patriots player was arrested Friday evening at a security checkpoint at Boston’s Logan Airport after two guns were found inside carry-on luggage, Massachusetts State Police said. Police said 25-year-old Jackie K. Jones of Arizona was arrested Friday evening, WCVB-TV reported. He had been planning to travel from Boston to Arizona, according to police. Police were called to the Transportation Security Administration security checkpoint in Terminal B at about 5:30 p.m. after two firearms were found in a traveler’s carry-on luggage. Police said they identified the person as Jones and arrested him. Jones is facing charges including unlawful possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm, possession of a large-capacity feeding device and possession of ammunition without a firearm identification card, police said. He was booked at the State Police Logan Airport Barracks and had bail set at $50,000, police said.
  15. He ought to be an impact layer on special teams if nothing else. I remember him as a solid run defender.
  16. Full credit to Kolankowski. He had a hard apprenticeship last year with some iffy game performances, but this year in the two games so far, he has been solid. May never be an all-star but good to have him on the roster.
  17. "Better" does not necessarily mean "good".
  18. Fox guest: 'Somebody is going to have to pull a trigger' to stop Trump prosecutions Retired Major League Baseball pitcher-turned-right-wing commentator Curt Schilling told Fox News host Jesse Watters on Friday that "somebody is going to have to pull a trigger" in retaliation to the criminal charges that were filed against former President Donald Trump by United States Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith. "The problem is Jesse, you know, if you look at, you know, I love coming on this show. I love talking to you. I love what you've done, what you're doing with your voice, but the fact of the matter is, you know, I'm tired of listening to Jim Jordan and Matt Gaetz and Dan Crenshaw and these people talk. Talk. Talk — that's all they're doing. They're talking," Schilling crowed on Jesse Watters Primetime. "We're up against a side and a force that doesn't play by the rules, refuses to play by the rules, just look no further than the unconstitutional thing going with former President Trump and we're not doing anything about it. We're talking about it, and we get excited and we get emotional. That's it," Schilling carped. "They break the law and they do the things they need to do to ensure their agenda is driven forward and we're watching them gut our nation from the inside out. And I don't know where the rubber is going to meet the road because it's a true sacrifice. mean, you look at the guys, the young men that signed the Constitution and all the things that they sacrificed everything to come out from under a tyrannical government, and then eventually at some point, there was a man at Concord who decided he was going to pull the trigger. And I feel like we're getting back to a point where somebody is going to have to pull a trigger because everything we hold dear, everything this country was founded on is being just dragged through the mud and mocked and made fun of. This country was founded on Godly principles. No matter how offensive that is to the left, it's true." Watters was momentarily taken aback. "Well, I'm going to assume you mean 'pull the trigger' metaphorically?" he asked. "Absolutely, well, no," Schilling replied.
  19. Cynicism favours the extremist parts of the political spectrum. Conscientious voters who follow the events will simply not vote if they believe their votes will not improve things, whereas the lunatic fringe will, if anything, double down on their support. I suspect that the Cons know this and try to foster apathy.
  20. Agreed. Augustine's forte is open field running and when he tries to deke or block, it becomes obvious why he is not the starting back.
  21. A bit ugly, but a win is a win. Back to school for the defensive backs, though.
