I think we will be lucky to be .500 on the season.

I know you are exaggerating to make a point, but there is ample proof that O'Shea has been playing favourites to the detriment of the team. That said, there seems to be a dearth of talent on this edition and a good deal of that blame lies elsewhere. Plenty of blame- enough to go around.

Not I.

It would be difficult, perhaps almost impossible unless a contender loses its starting QB for the year. But that is where we are. -

"We" are not advocating to downgrade the QB position- Collaros has done that all by himself and Walters has just about painted himself into a corner with that bloated contract. -

A cornerback and apparently smart. God knows that sad sack lot played like they need a heart transplant last Saturday. -

Druther trade Collaros. He hasn't shown himself to be substantially better than Streveler and his contract is weighing the team down. -
Agree with most of your suggestions but as far as the O-line is concerned, GET KOLANKOWSKI THE HELL OUTTA THERE and that alone will improve the line dramatically, and similarly, Thomas is has been a liability for a couple of years, so out he goes. Ain't gonna happen so long as O'Shea is head. coach

3 turds plus cranky honker don’t say roster management edition

Agreed. If we fans cannot have wins, at least give us hope that the myriad issues with this edition are being addressed. -
In the early part of the season, I held to the opinion that O'Shea was the problem and had to go. Now that we are at the halfway point, I amend my thoughts- nothing less than a complete housecleaning will suffice. If Walters has the power to fire O'Shea and has not, he is an integral part of this mess. If he does not have the authority, he should have the dignity and guts to throw up his hands and leave. Either way, he is part of the problem and not part of the remedy. The season is essentially lost, so lets get the bloodletting underway STAT.

I am betting that Hogan will be here ad infinitum. And yes, that game was very discouraging despite the prediction that the Bombers would inevitably lose. That may have been the best effort we will see for the rest of the year.
-
As much of a difference as Mitchell made last night.
-
This team knows they are not good enough- almost top to bottom and any lead they have is ephemeral.
-
Nor did he make a difference, either. He was not the reason the offence was flaccid, but not an upgrade.
-
PS: it would seem that the receiver that was added to the roster today is not the answer to the problems at receiver.
-
Whatever the Bombers had going for them in the first half completely evaporated in the second. There was no enthusiasm when they got back onto the field. I suspect that the players knew what many in this forum knew all along- that the Stamps were going to take over the game and the coaches would have no answer in either the defence or the offense and nay half-time adjustments would be purely theoretical.
-
I did so because I do not see Collaros as significantly better than Streveler, and definitely not the saviour of the season.

Rourke starting to live up to his advance billing. An entertaining game, no matter who won.

Agree that if the Bombers lose badly or lose at all on Saturday, the ship should hit the sand, but I doubt that it will. Hope is not an effective stratagem. -

Heresy! Haven't you heard of papal/O'Shea infallibility? -
Seems to have good hands and good speed but no burst off the line and doesn't seem to break tackles well.
-
I would be cautious about cheering that Big Stan is coming back. He is a year older, his conditioning is likely off plus who knows what lingering effects of the injury will be? Improving the. LT position without upgrading Center is equivalent to plugging a small hole in the boat while ignoring the biggest one is just plain stoopid.

Not a Smurf but not overly tall, either. If Oliviera is to be effective, we need to have better blocking at guard and center as teams are clogging up the middle on us. To me, it would be a helluva lot easier and quicker to replace Kolankowski as his ineptness affects the inside run game and also makes life a lot harder for Neufeld and Wallace. -
Don't drag religion into this.
