  1. I fear that if a couple of tweaks perks the team up a bit, that might be a signal to upper management that all is going to be well. The Blue have been sinking into mediocrity for the third year now and have been bypassed by the Riders (ugh), the Stamps and TiCats. There is nothing to lose by firing the authors of the decline and new coaches plus the roster changes most here have been advocating will give the fans hope instead of fatalism,
  2. One of the changes that ought to be made is to sack the head coach and offensive coordinator. The season is lost, we've been soundly beaten by our arch-rivals twice in a row, and the message has to be sent that incompetence will not be tolerated. O'Shea, Hogan and even Walters have to know that they are almost certainly to be fired in a couple of months and can't be enjoying life. The sooner the overhaul begins the better.
  3. If you do not know how to tackle properly, you shouldn't be playing pro ball.
  4. The last, faint hope died when he went out. Momentum was pretty iffy already at that point.
  5. Concussions are nothing you can train to overcome, and every concussion leaves the victim more vulnerable to the next one. Collaros must be pretty close to his limit if he is not there already. I recall Matt Dunnigan sayin in a n interview that he was still experiencing the effects long, long after.
  6. I suggest it is hubris, plain and simple. Walters is to blame for letting things come to this, but O'shea's ego will not allow him to accept that his judgement has become and likely always was flawed. As we age, we become more and more set into a our core personalities. Stubbornness/determination is probably a valuable asset as a player but a liability as a coach. The Willy/Nichols incident when O'Shea was fairly new as the Bomber head coach was very telling.
  7. I caught O'Shea's post-game interview. The interview was short, O'Shea was very curt in his replies and evasive. He said that both recent games were closely played and it all came down to the Riders making a "couple more plays" than the Bombers. And no, he didn't think losing Collaros changed the Bomber game plan. Sadly, he was probably right.
  8. With Edmonton, BC, Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa being the way they are. we are likely to make the playoffs and stall there.
  9. O'Shea says "why"?
  10. Not to mention a head coach and OC.
  11. He didn't make much of an effort at all.
  12. Aaand now- the cherry on top.
  13. This is a group cluster-buck
  14. He is still far and away the best kick returner we have.
  15. Those two blown FGs loom large now
  16. The offence is not so hot, either
  17. If this is we can get out of him, he ought to be gone or replaced.
  18. Hogan still cannot grasp that Kolankowski cannot run block, either.
  19. Harris' arm must be getting tired,
  20. Rider TD coming up- again.
  21. That's called fatalism
  22. We are getting nickeled and dimed to death.
  23. Why the Hell was this even a question?
  24. As egregious as that hit to the head was, even if it is called properly, we are still doomed.
