  1. FTR: passing out beer at a wedding ceremony is a blatantly stupid idea for an ad.
  2. Given our last game, we have little room for smugness.
  3. Don't call him Shirley
  4. This description is too close to ours for comfort.
  5. And doubtful to last the game.
  6. Nice to see that Yoshi has recovered from his injury.
  7. Close call. As it should be.
  8. A lot of Rider fans are from out of town and would not be attending today, having driven home late last night.
  9. And he is going to retire as an occasional player so long as O'Shea is head coach and refusing to let him play some meaningful minutes.
  10. I have been watching O'Shea. Last season and the two previous seasons he kept fielding sub-par players (like Kolankowski when Tui Eli was available and has LOST three consecutive Grey Cup games when they were emiinently winnable. Winning big in the regular season is all well and good, but it counts for squat in the post-season.
  11. Have you been watching O'Shea's roster management?
  12. No point in bringing in talent if they are not allowed to challenge and replace the existing players unless there is a catastrophic injury. That has to be frustrating for the scouting staff.
  13. The problem is thast at the beginning of the week we are just guessing who the quaterbacks will be at week's end.
  14. Brown was more than good enough to win. The RB defence soiled the linens.
  15. If Collaros' inability to adapt to changing game situations is holding the team back, inevitably the team will lose confidence in him as a leader and key player. That will absolutely impact their committment and effort, and you can see that in any organization. If the coaches are ignoring this, the team's confidence in them will wither, producing the same result. So all this falls into the laps of both Wlters aqnd Miller. Gonna be an interesting season.
  16. The commish has to play by the rules.
  17. We might just be that desperate for defensive help.
  18. This is the tao of O'Shea. FWIW: The Lemonator may be available soon.
  19. Whether this lot is allowed to stumble through the rest of the season essentially intact or a mid-season overhaul is induced, the outcome would seem to be about the same- get into the playoffs mostly by default and then flatline. Pick yer misery.
  20. Collaros did not lose us the game, but he did not look like an all-star QB which he is well=paid to be, and he definitely did not lead the tram by example. As regards Wee Willie, he has been effectively when the rest of the D-line and linebackers are occupying the opposing blockers and leaving in one-on-one with a mediocre O-lineman. He does not seem to have the athleticism or drive of two years ago and the Bombers have to assess whether that is good enough or if a great play once or twice a d=games is enough for the salary he commands.
  21. He's gonna start- good is another matter entirely.
  22. But the O-line is a lot closer to credible.
  23. It seems obvious to me that O'Shea is obsessed with filling the roster with linebackers because he is trying to relive his glory days. It's called displacement.
