Now you're just being judgmental. The literacy rate is falling in the US, after all. -
And the road at the Russia-Finnish border is backed up for many kilometers. Some half-million Russians (many engineers, doctors etc) have left Russia in the past few months. There are critical shortages now in many fields (and I am not referring to farmers).

Desperation time for Putin. The Russian military has been giving their new recruits (from mental hospitals and max penitentiaries) two weeks training and sending them into battle. Many did not even know how to reload their weapons. I predict that, like the American army in Viet Nam, a lot of of officers and NCOs are going to be fragged (shot by their own men).

Well, it would be more like punching a worker at a competing business. Sorta ok. Are you implying that there is dissention within the Riders? -

We have a spare bedroom in the lower level (ok- its a basement) but feeding him would probably beggar us. -
KFC BETTER LOOK OUT! FDA Warns Against Using NyQuil As A Chicken Marinade The agency notes that the idea of cooking chicken in cough syrup is not only “silly and unappetizing,” but potentially dangerous. By David Moye Sep 20, 2022, 05:29 PM EDT The Food and Drug Administration has offered Americans some food for thought: It’s a bad idea to use NyQuil as a chicken marinade. The federal agency felt obligated to issue the warning in light of a social media challenge encouraging people to cook chicken in NyQuil and other cough medicine. ADVERTISEMENT AD The FDA’s release notes that the idea of cooking chicken in cough syrup is “silly and unappetizing.” But it is also potentially dangerous: The FDA didn’t cite any actual reports of people who’ve gone to the emergency room after chowing down on “NyQuil chicken.” But the agency mentioned a previous TikTok challenge that urged people to take large doses of the allergy medicine diphenhydramine (sold under the brand name of Benadryl, among others) to try to induce hallucinations, and that it led to reports of teenagers going to the emergency room.

Apparently the slur was directed by Whitehead (Poophead?) at Judge referencing Judge's mother's activities. Seems a bit strange that the Lions would be so incensed, given that the Lions won the game and should have been feeling jubilant. -
One of these ad hoc offices that was to be conducting the sham plebiscites was blown up a few days ago and in another instance, the Russian-appointed overseer of these referenda was killed.

If you think that what is currently going on in the 11th district judicial system has anything to do with the law, precedent or convention, you would be wrong. It is all about obfuscation and delaying tactics to stem the revelations until after the mid-term elections. As an example of the insane premises by Trump's team of crack (interpret that as you will) lawyers, they are arguing that any document produced by any arm of the government and Trump has seen or night have seen is his to do with as he sees fit, and no longer can be the property of the government. Even "top secret" or "above top secret" documents. The firm that Trump has retained demanded and received a 3 million advance retainer, so that tells you that they expect to lose the case(s), which in the past meant Trump refused to pay his attorneys if they lost.
-
It is a criminal offence in the US to lie to the court, provide false documents or lie to federal agents. In essence, if Trump's lawyers provide a list of documents that Trump says he has declassified and it turns out to be false in any meaningful way, then the lawyers are on the hook themselves. They are caught in a bind and there is no remedy. This invalidates Trump's last line of defence. ''

Bringing in bodies at random solves nothing and only adds to the frustration. Gotta be the right people, and I trust Walters and Co to do that. -
Apparently the Russian army has "donated" more operational tanks to the Ukrainian army than any other country. One of those abandoned/captured tanks was a T-92, a state of the art brand new tank that has been promptly given to the US. Similarly, the Ukrainian army has found massive amounts of ammunition rockets and missiles.

The MAGA/Antiaxxer movement has become a cult wherein the participants (except for the leaders) are completely emotionally and even financially invested in their beliefs much like evangelical adherents who, at the urging of their ministers, mortgage their homes and take out personal loans to donate to their churches. It closely resembles a form of mania, not responding to logic, facts or any evidence that things are not as they believe. I had a patient who was utterly convinced that his music (which was terrible) would be loved by any and all rock bands. He sold all his possessions and moved to the US, living in his car and going from one door to another until his money ran out. Even after he returned to Canada, he persisted in his beliefs.

Dreaded Side Effect Rears Its Ugly Head in Latest COVID Variant All over the world, the rates of death and hospitalization from COVID keep dropping. But our successful mitigation of the worst outcomes of the 33-month-old pandemic belie a growing crisis. More and more people are surviving COVID and staying out of the hospital, but more and more people are also living with long-term symptoms of COVID. Fatigue. Heart problems. Stomach problems. Lung problems. Confusion. Symptoms that can last for months or even a year or more after the infection clears. As many as 21 percent of Americans who caught the SARS-CoV-2 virus this summer ended up suffering from long COVID starting four weeks after infection, according to a new study from City University of New York. That’s up from 19 percent in figures the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported in June. Compare those numbers to the recent rates of death and hospitalization from COVID in the U.S.—three percent and .3 percent, respectively. Long COVID is by far the likeliest serious outcome from any novel-coronavirus infection. And possibly getting likelier .This Could Be the Only Way to Beat COVID for Good: The CUNY study, which is not yet peer-reviewed, focused on American adults, but the results have implications for the whole world. Globally, long-term symptoms are partially replacing COVID deaths. After all, more COVID survivors means more people at risk of long-term symptoms. And long COVID is cumulative—people get sick and stay sick for a while. “Despite an increased level of protection against long COVID from vaccination, it may be that the total number of people with long COVID in the U.S. is increasing,” epidemiologist Denis Nash, the CUNY study’s lead author, told The Daily Beast. That is, every day more people catch long COVID than recover from long COVID. But understanding long COVID, to say nothing of preventing it, isn’t a priority in the global epidemiological establishment. That needs to change, Nash said. “I believe it is long past time to be focusing on long COVID in addition to preventing hospitalizations and deaths.” https://www.thedailybeast.com/scientists-warn-of-spike-in-long-covid-cases-across-the-united-states?ref=home

Watched the post-game interview with Vernon Adams who cam across as a humble personal who gave credit to the rest of the team. Nice. I hope he does well but the Stamps have lost not a step with Maier.
