I think genetics have nothing to do with it. That sort of attitude that Donnie has is created by a wildly dysfunctional upbringing and role-modeling, and it will likely be a lifetime struggle for Barron anyways.

Cooper looks hella quick and fast. The big question is whether he can transition to the CFL, but yeah, he moves like a rush end with great pursuit. -
The noose is tightening around Trump's neck, and he keeps saying stoopid, self-incriminating things. His last line of defence will likely be to find/bribe someone to take the fall but with his incredible talent for shooting himself in the foot repeatedly, even that will not work.

It may be as simple as bribery being cheaper than good lawyers.

Trump Attorney's Eye-Popping Claim On Live TV Sounds Like A Confession An attorney for former President Donald Trump seemed to admit that the highly sensitive documents seized from Mar-a-Lago when the FBI executed a search warrant last month weren’t kept in the most secure of settings. In fact, Alina Habba said on Fox News on Wednesday that the files were kept in an office where Trump “frequently” had guests. Habba took issue with a photo the Justice Department included in its legal brief detailing the reason for the search warrant and what was discovered. That image showed top secret documents and other classified materials, with key information covered up, arranged on the floor:Some of the documents found at Mar-a-Lago. “I do have firsthand knowledge, as you know. I have been down there, I’m down there frequently,” Habba told Sean Hannity. “I have never seen that. I have never, ever seen that. That is not the way his office looks. Anybody that knows President Trump’s office, he has guests frequently there, it’s just a joke.” The documents recovered during the search included highly sensitive materials that should only be kept in a secured facility. While Trump’s team has previously claimed that anything he had at Mar-a-Lago was kept secure, Habba’s admission that these items were actually in a room where he “frequently” had guests was unlikely to help his case. Trump’s attorneys, advisers and insiders have come up with a number of unusual defenses for this stash of sensitive documents.

When you understand that, at a minimum, a third of the current Bible is provably non-original- added well after the death of Yeshua and the apostles, then it becomes clearer that it is not to be accepted as literal word of God.

Ginni Thomas's attempts to influence overturning of election even wider than previously known Ginni Thomas‘ efforts to influence the overturning of the 2020 presidential election are even wider than previously known. Thomas, a far-right activist and lobby who happens to also be the spouse of the most right-wing U.S. Supreme Court justice, not only engaged in a months-long pressure campaign to influence then-Trump White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows to help overturn the results of the election, and pressured 29 GOP lawmakers in Arizona to overturn the election, but also pressured lawmakers in another critical battleground state, Wisconsin, to do so as well. The Washington Post Thursday reports “new emails show that Thomas also messaged two Republican lawmakers in Wisconsin: state Sen. Kathy Bernier, then chair of the Senate elections committee, and state Rep. Gary Tauchen. Bernier and Tauchen received the email at 10:47 a.m. on Nov. 9, virtually the same time the Arizona lawmakers received a verbatim copy of the message from Thomas. The Bernier email was obtained by The Post, and the Tauchen email was obtained by the watchdog group Documented and provided to The Post.” The Post published the text of the emails sent by Thomas. “Please stand strong in the face of media and political pressure,” the emails read. The Post notes they were sent “just days after major media organizations called the presidency for Biden.” “Please reflect on the awesome authority granted to you by our Constitution. And then please take action to ensure that a clean slate of Electors is chosen for our state,” they also say. https://www.alternet.org/2022/09/ginni-thomas-attempts-influence-overturn/

Another tragic accident: Russian oil boss who opposed Ukraine invasion dies after 'falling from hospital window'

As has been widely speculated, this is all part of what happens when an empire goes into decline. America has run up quite a karmic debt that must inevitably be repaid. I do not recall that Hitler really blamed the capitalists, though. They were the backbone of his financial support.

Apparently the US military is working closely with the Ukrainian military to supply satellite information on Russian troop and military installation locations and war-gamed the whole current offensive with the UA so as to make the offensive as effective as possible with the least casualties and and equipment losses. Since the Russian media is acknowledging the advances and the reported Russian body count has risen sharply since the counter-offensive began, along with the Russian pulling troops out of other theatres of conflict, it is pretty safe to assume the Russians are losing ground quickly. However, the Russian strategy to throw ever more troops and resources into battle hoping that the adversary cannot kill them off as quickly as they are replaced is still their go-to.

This, exactly. The offensive line performance is not a bunch of solo performances, but a coordinated choreography which takes time to learn, and we have had two significant losses (DesJarlais and Couture) plus Neufeld's very obviously injured arm. Gray will likely move to right guard to give Paddy time to heal but all this will not be an instant panacea but a significant improvement after the first period or two. Sempre avanti! -

That appears to be on the way. Trump's lawyer(s) attested in writing to the DOJ last April that Trump had turned over all relevant documents and they were obviously wrong or lying. Either way, it is an indictable offence in the US to lie to federal officers. And a conviction would result in disbarment as well. Double trouble. No wonder no credible lawyer wants to take on Trump as a client.
-
And apparently Trump was in the habit of leaving behind secret documents when in foreign hotels, even in hotels in adversarial countries.

DeSantis is trying to out-Trump Trump.

Yesterday on CBC radio they played the interview of the current mayor of Calgary, Jyoti Gondek for her reaction to the Freeland=Grande Prairie incident. She related an incident when she attended an all-candidates debate when running for the mayor's office. Just prior to the debate, as she was waiting in the hallway, a man came up to her, put his face right into hers and said that he knew where she lived and that he would never allow her to become mayor. She was rattled but went into the debate and di well enough to win, but this man sat in the front row the whole time staring at her radiating anger and hatred at her. She has received threats since winning, and every morning before she goes out, she checks out front before opening the door, sets her alarm and makes sure every window is closed and locked before leaving. When the internet outage happened a couple of months ago, her alarm system did not work, so she stayed home. Apparently this sort of harassment is common for women in politics in Canada. Very sad, but it takes only small number of malicious idiots to create these sort of problems.

A fascinating but chilling look at the possibility that the Trump coup was much more widespread and organized than it first appeared: https://www.alternet.org/2022/08/donald-trump-conspiracy-even-bigger/

It would nice to have a proven receiver in case one of our import receivers go down hard, but a carnivorous nose tackle is more of a priority at the moment. -
In the past 48 hours, there has been a report of Russian officers deserting their troops in the Kherson and Crimea regions. assassinations of Russian and pro-Russian officials in occupied areas and Putin has fired his supreme military commander. The Russians are also pulling troops and equipment out of places such as Syria and Kazakhstan. So, it appears that the Russians are back on their heels, and elite troops are deserting, but the fight is far from over.
