And in the devastated city of Mariupol, Ukrainian partisans are harassing and killing Russian troops in urban guerilla warfare. The sanctions have devastated the Russian economy and all this reminds me of a line from Dr. Zhivago, "Germans underestimated Russian capacity for suffering"
