Several members of my extended family are police (WPS and RCMP) and they were appalled by the actions and inactions of the officers on scene. There was obviously acute problems with the leadership but that does not excuse in any way the choices and cowardice of the officers. One child bled out while the police on site did nothing and actually blocked action. That they lied afterwards was butt-covering and fear of being prosecuted for dereliction of duty.

The Uvalde police force are as much a symptom as culpable through ineptitude and cowardice. They tasered, cuffed and arrested parents trying to get to their kids, blocked state police from entering the school, lied about their own actions and inaction, tried to blame a female teacher and may have even shot one of the kids. The crisis was only ended when several of the Uvalde police disobeyed orders and entered the school, whereupon the shooter killed himself.

QAnon Queen of Canada Now Claims to Be Queen of the World A QAnon influencer some people believe to be the true Queen of Canada took a quick break from her monthlong tour of the country to announce her intentions to go global. “The entire team was privileged to hear Queen Romana speak to the United States Commander and Chief via telephone and hear the intel disclosed. Wait for it…. ” Romana Didulo’s press secretary told followers before taking a dramatic pause. “Queen Romana is the leader of the world!” Speaking in a Quebec campground parking lot on May 24, in front of a massive purple Queen Romana decal (which features a sword bifurcating a maple leaf) on Didulo’s new RV, the press secretary said this was a big development for the burgeoning leader, one that would bring them legitimacy, and she urged those who follow Didulo to stand up for their queen. “Queen Romana has done all of the heavy lifting, and now it is up to ‘we the people’ to stand in our authority and put these decrees into place,” she told her followers. ”The only visible leader on this planet is her royal majesty Queen Romana, period, and that’s a mic drop.” Didulo grew out of the online QAnon movement—which believes there is a secret war being fought against the elites—and has garnered a not-insignificant following by actually inserting herself in the real world created by this conspiracy. For months now, Didulo and a rotating cast of characters have been crisscrossing the country in a convoy—which they call their “mobile government”—building her community offline by meeting followers at almost every stop they make. They’re on the tail end of their second loop of the second-largest country in the world, as gas prices have reached record highs. Didulo has issued, as of this week, 79 decrees. For the most part, the decrees have had little real-world impact, such as declaring Victoria, British Columbia (where she resides when not in the RV) the capital of Canada, and raising the age of consent to 24, although some followers bristled at that. https://www.vice.com/en/article/n7n8aw/queen-of-canada-roman-didulo-qanon-global (Pierre Poilevre will be soooo jealous)

Rep. Louie Gohmert Laments That Republicans Can't Lie To Congress Or The FBI Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) thinks Trump administration aide Peter Navarro’s indictment on contempt charges Friday is a sad sign that America is screwed up. It’s not because the Texas congressman thinks Navarro should have followed the law and cooperated with a House select committee’s investigation of the U.S. Capitol riot but because Navarro’s arrest Friday means that Republicans might have to tell the truth when dealing with Congress or law enforcement. Navarro was taken off a plane at a Washington-area airport Friday after the indictment on contempt of Congress charges was unsealed. He later appeared before a judge who released him on the condition that he notify the court before traveling. Gohmert appeared Friday on Newsmax and lamented that Navarro’s indictment means “if you’re a Republican, you can’t even lie to Congress or lie to an FBI agent or they’re coming after you.” Gohmert, a former lawyer and judge, said that Navarro was the victim of “a two-tiered justice system.” He said he was especially angered that Navarro’s indictment came in the same week that a jury acquitted Michael Sussman, a lawyer for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, of charges that he had lied to the FBI. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/louie-gohmer-gop-cant-lie-newsmax_n_629a6b93e4b016c4eef958f9

Rogue Cops Stormed Uvalde Classroom After Child Called 911 to Say Teacher Was Alive -Getty The officers who eventually stormed a classroom at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, bringing the massacre to an end, did so after a student inside the room called 911 to say one of her two teachers had been shot but was still alive, The New York Times reports. Those officers went against the orders of school district police chief and onsite commander Pete Arredondo, and one could even hear a command in his earpiece not to breach as he moved towards the classroom. Arredondo arrived on the scene minutes after 18-year-old gunman Salvador Ramos but he had no police radio and decided almost immediately that it was no longer an active shooter situation. He used his cellphone to call a police landline to relay that and ask for backup. But students kept calling 911 for help, including 10-year-old Khloie Torres, who told a dispatcher at 12:10 p.m.—37 minutes after Ramos started shooting inside the school—that her teacher was “shot but still alive.” The room was not breached until 12:50 p.m.

It is a competition.

Because nothing promotes learning like an AR15 in the classroom. There is a traumatized generation being created in the US that will grow up to be fearful, reactive trigger-happy adults in about 25 years. It will be a series of bloodbaths culminating in a dictatorship which will promise to create and sustain "law and order"- mostly in core areas of cities and predominantly coloured communities.

And we all know what the abbreviation of "raccoons" is what it signifies.

Despite that, I still reserve the right to flay the SOB.

There are three things that if we start believing about ourselves, we will be in big trouble: 1.I am not good enough. 2' The world is a dangerous place 3. Its never going to get any better than this. -

I found out that grief is not restricted to losing someone out of your life. It also occurs when our childhood is stolen from us, betrayals, and losing the vitality that comes from aging. I am not the same person I was before Mo died. I think and hope that I am now more empathic and gentle with people I see who have been deeply bruised by life's traumas. And there is scar tissue but life carries us onward. The pain has passed, but I still am grateful for having had and miss her presence. We are given memory that we might have roses in winter. I have been fortunate in finding a wonderful woman who is willing to put up with me. It is not the same relationships as we had with our deceased spouses, but we care about and for each other. -

Many men suffer from depression and others mental stressors and are expected to suck it up because we are supposed to weather everything life throws at us without complaint or pause. There is a good reason that men are three times more likely to make suicidal gestures than women because of this macho image crap. When my wife, the light of my life died, I really struggled. It was the worst time of my life and the one person I would have wanted most to have with me was absent and beyond my reach. Even with all my training and experience I spiraled down into an abyss. I was more fortunate than many- I had concerned, loving friends and family, professional connections and despite all these, I was afraid to fill out a prescription for the Triazolam my doctor friend and colleague wrote for me. Depression is a lonely journey at the best of times and if we are afraid of admitting we cannot handle things and reach out, it is a lot worse. -

Utah County attorney calls for investigation, sheriff's resignation PROVO, Utah (KUTV) — Utah County Attorney David Leavitt has called for the resignation of Sheriff Mike Smith, and calling for an investigation into his activities. Leavitt made the demands at a news conference held Wednesday. He accused the sheriff of misuse of taxpayer and county resources. The county attorney spoke out in response to a press release sent by the sheriff’s office Tuesday, asking for help to identify victims of a “ritualistic child sexual abuse” and child sex trafficking ring dating from 1990 to 2010. Sgt. Spencer Cannon with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office said the case began in April 2021 when a victim came forward to report abuse. "The ensuing investigation discovered that other victims had previously reported similar forms of ritualistic sexual abuse and trafficking that occurred in Utah County, Juab County, and Sanpete County," Cannon said. "We’re concerned about things that may have happened decades ago, but we’re also receiving information that leads us to believe things have happened more recently.” In their release, the sheriff’s office said parts of the allegations had already been confirmed. They pled for additional victims or people with knowledge of the allegations to come forward. "We understand that there are individuals who have concerns for their safety and/or well-being, who have been silenced,” the release said. “We need your help." He claimed is stems from a discredited case in the 1990s that involved accusations of ritualistic abuse against more than a dozen community members -- including he and his wife. Leavitt said those accusations included child cannibalism, among others. He challenged Sheriff Smith to provide information to vindicate himself against his claim the investigation was part of a smear campaign to keep Leavitt from getting reelected, and to resign if there was a connection. https://www.thedailybeast.com/utah-county-gripped-by-accusations-of-phony-murder-and-cannibalization-of-kids?ref=home
