Putin May Be Accused Of War Crimes In Ukraine, But Trump's Still Asking For His Help Six years after calling on Putin for aid against Hillary Clinton, Trump is now asking for the murderous dictator’s help finding dirt on Joe Biden. By S.V. Date Mar. 29, 2022, 04:49 PM EDT WASHINGTON ― Russian dictator Vladimir Putin may be accused of slaughtering children and overseeing other war crimes in Ukraine, but that’s not stopping longtime admirer and former U.S. President Donald Trump from asking him for political help again. Trump, who tried to overthrow American democracy in an attempt to retain power despite losing the 2020 election, is now asking Putin to find damaging information on his successor’s son. “I would think Putin would know the answer to that,” Trump said in an interview airing on Real America’s Voice, a pro-Trump website, regarding a payment a decade ago from a Russian oligarch’s wife to a company founded by Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden. “I think he should release it.”

There seems to be no outrage at this, which dwarfed Nixon's secretary's 18 minutes of "accidently" erased White House tapes. The GOP's tactics of overt, massive violations of the law and deadening public reactions seems to be working. Merrick Garland's glacial, timid investigations into the attempted Coup is playing perfectly into that.

Will Smith has little right to be angry at anyone who mocks his "wife" Jada. On a nationally televised TV talk show, she blurted out that she was sleeping around as part of her "healing" but Will did not outwardly react and continued to (apparently) share a life with her. If he wasn't angry and humiliated at her then, why bother to be angry at Hart over what is common knowledge?

Russian Forces Driven Away From Kyiv as Ukraine Regains Territory and Kills Top Commander Ukraine’s military says they have “eliminated” another Russian colonel, adding to a long list of high-ranking Russian military personnel wiped out in Putin’s war against Ukraine. The Ukrainian Armed Forces announced on Tuesday that Colonel Denis Kurilo, the commander of the 200th separate motorized rifle brigade, was killed outside Kharkiv. Kurilo’s reported death, on the 34th day of the Kremlin’s “special operation,” comes after at least seven Russian generals were killed in Ukraine, according to both Ukrainian and Western officials. It also comes as the Ukrainian military announced several territorial gains, with the northeastern town of Trostyanets liberated from Russian troops and several areas outside Kyiv reported back in the hands of Ukraine. The military said territories in the Chernihiv region were also liberated. -BBC

'The Flash' Star Ezra Miller Arrested After Belligerent Behavior At Hawaii Bar The "Fantastic Beasts" actor was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment. Ezra Miller, who plays the Flash in an upcoming movie about the superhero, was arrested early Monday after a rowdy visit to a bar in Hilo, Hawaii, police said. Miller, 29, “became agitated” and started yelling obscenities at patrons singing karaoke, police said in a Facebook post. The actor, who also appeared as the Flash in 2016’s “Batman v Superman” and 2017’s “Justice League,” then grabbed the microphone from a 23-year-old woman who was performing. Miller “later lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts,” police added. The bar owner told officers he could not calm the unruly customer, despite repeated attempts. Miller, who police said was visiting from Vermont, was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment. They were released after posting $500 bail. In 2020, Miller reportedly was escorted out of a bar in Iceland after an altercation with a woman. Miller’s arrest in Hawaii occurred just weeks before the U.S. release of “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore,” in which the performer reprises the role of Credence Barebone. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/ezra-miller-flash-arrested_n_6242ce97e4b0587dee6061b3

When you look at the performance of the Russian military, its not hard to imagine that the GRU could screw this up. Besides, the point may have been to scare off negotiators so as to give the military time to complete their sweep of Ukraine.

The point of this apparent poisoning by Russia was to disrupt things so that there would be an excuse for Russia to abort the proceedings. Making people sick would be a convenient reason without raising too much alarm.

Billionaire Terry Pegula Gets $850 Million Subsidy for New Buffalo Bills Stadium In another sweet deal for a billionaire, the Buffalo Bills announced an agreement on Monday to build a $1.4 billion new stadium, with $850 million of those funds coming from New York State and Erie County. The deal includes a 30-year commitment from the team to stay in Buffalo. The Bills’ owner, oil and gas billionaire Terry Pegula, is worth $5.8 billion, according to Forbes. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul defended the arrangement in a statement, arguing that “the project will create 10,000 union jobs and New Yorkers can rest assured that their investment will be recouped by the economic activity the team generates.” New York will own the new stadium and will lease it to the Bills. https://www.thedailybeast.com/billionaire-terry-pegula-gets-dollar850-million-subsidy-for-new-buffalo-bills-stadium?ref=home?ref=home

Detective tried to uncover vaccine status of dead children's parents, sources say Shaamini Yogaretnam · CBC News · Posted: Mar 28, 2022 4:00 AM ET | Last Updated: 8 hours ago The Ottawa Police Service says it has suspended Det. Helen Grus with pay in connection with an investigation by the professional standards unit. (Olivier Plante/CBC) An Ottawa police detective who opposed the force's COVID-19 mandates is under investigation for allegedly trying to find out if parents whose infants had suddenly died during the pandemic were vaccinated, CBC News has learned. The misconduct allegations against Det. Helen Grus raise questions about how police treat cases involving the most vulnerable members of society — and whether their own personal pandemic biases are influencing their work. Grus has been suspended with pay since Feb. 4 amid an ongoing internal disciplinary investigation into how and why she was allegedly attempting to collect the information. A constable by rank, Grus is a detective in the force's sexual assault and child abuse unit, which investigates criminal cases that involve some of the most vulnerable victims police see. That includes newborns and infants who die in sudden circumstances — investigations that are mandated by law.

People’s Convoy Gives Up, Will Leave D.C. After 3 Weeks of Doing Absolutely Nothing -Getty Three weeks after the so-called “People’s Convoy” landed in Washington, D.C., the group is calling it quits after accomplishing nothing except injuring residents and circling the Beltway. Co-organizer Mike Landis announced Sunday night that the group would pack its things up in the coming days and drive back to California. “So what I want to know is, what do you think about heading to California?” Landis asked, to the crowd’s delight. “Sounds like a great plan,” one convoy-goer yelled back. Landis further said that convoy-goers who remain posted up in Hagerstown, Maryland—who have experienced many freezing nights while camped out in the small town an hour and a half north of D.C. proper—will enjoy a southerly route back to California. “We’re gonna take a little more southern route, so it’s a little warmer than this,” he said. He pledged to “come back to finish this job” in the metro area at some unspecified time, which seems highly unlikely as their crowd dwindles.

'Came closer than widely realized': Ted Cruz worked 'directly with Trump' to try to overturn the election U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) has bragged that he was “leading the charge” to ensure Joe Biden was not certified as the rightful winner of the 2020 election. But until now the depths and extent of his actions, including that he was “working directly with Trump to concoct a plan that came closer than widely realized to keeping him in power,” have not been widely known. That’s according to a report by The Washington Post on Monday that reveals one day after major news outlets called the election for Joe Biden, Donald Trump, still the President of the United States, made “an urgent call” to Sen. Cruz, asking him if he would be willing to argue Trump’s just-filed case at the Supreme Court. “Sure, I’d be happy to” if the court granted a hearing, Cruz said he responded. The call was just one step in a collaboration that for two months turned the once-bitter political enemies into close allies in the effort to keep Trump in the White House based on the president’s false claims about a stolen election. The Post adds another important revelation: Cruz’s longtime friend is John Eastman, the author of the “coup memos,” who retired from his post at the Chapman University School of Law after news of he memos became public. Eastman, who still serves as the chairman of an anti-LGBTQ organization, the National Organization For Marriage (NOM), is currently facing an ethics investigation from the California State Bar Assoc. https://www.alternet.org/2022/03/ted-cruz-2657051447/
