Alberta UPC politician Devin Dreeshen has resigned his seat after a CBC investigation was started into his drinking on the job and other concerns about his conduct. I guess he wanted to be the next Ralph Klein..

Riders score. Big deal- blind squirrels and all that. Game is far from over.

Let down by technology again. Dammit. Edmonton Ungulates look much readier to play than the Cryders. I'm calling for an Edmonton win. Fletcher looks like a legit RB.

But Reilly overlooked a receiver on the 1 yard line who was wide open

So far, this game is a lot closer than I would have thought.

We are privileged tonight to witness a rare Reilly interception.

There were also a variety of dire consequences promised if you broke the chain- something like the children of the previous sender would be eaten alive by orcs if you failed to forward. Never responded to any of then. The modern day equivalent is the tripe circulated about pizza parlours serving as fronts for pedophile trafficking and such.

Very fortunate to have the tipped ball land on his belly. But darn, Reilly throws a nice tight pass.

I disagree. We lived in the Calgary area for three years, and found attorney and veterinary fees much higher, housing cost more and the property taxes were not that much lower.

If Fajardo shines in a big game against a tough opponents, I will give him accolades, but until he does, he is just another journeyman quarterback. much as McLeod Bethel-Thompson

Well, there used to be a lot of money to be made in Alberta but that ship has sailed, even though many there continue to live as if it has not.

Pfizer Says Its New COVID-19 Pill Cut Hospital, Death Risk By 90% WASHINGTON (AP) — Pfizer Inc. said Friday that its experimental antiviral pill for COVID-19 cut rates of hospitalization and death by nearly 90% as the drugmaker joins the race to bring the first easy-to-use medication against the coronavirus to the U.S. market. Currently all COVID-19 treatments used in the U.S. require an IV or injection. Competitor Merck’s COVID-19 pill is already under review at the Food and Drug Administration after showing strong initial results, and on Thursday the United Kingdom became the first country to OK it. Pfizer said it will ask the FDA and international regulators to authorize its pill as soon as possible, after independent experts recommended halting the company’s study based on the strength of its results. Once Pfizer applies, the FDA could make a decision within weeks or months. Researchers worldwide have been racing to find a pill against COVID-19 that can be taken at home to ease symptoms, speed recovery and reduce the crushing burden on hospitals and doctors. Pfizer released preliminary results Friday of its study of 775 adults. Patients taking the company’s drug along with another antiviral had an 89% reduction in their combined rate of hospitalization or death after a month, compared to patients taking a dummy pill. Fewer than 1% of patients taking the drug needed to be hospitalized and no one died. In the comparison group, 7% were hospitalized and there were seven deaths. “We were hoping that we had something extraordinary, but it’s rare that you see great drugs come through with almost 90% efficacy and 100% protection for death,” said Dr. Mikael Dolsten, Pfizer’s chief scientific officer, in an interview.

New Grand Jury Seated As Trump Criminal Probe Continues. The Manhattan district attorney’s office is weighing whether to seek more indictments in a case that has already resulted in tax fraud charges against Trump’s company, NEW YORK (AP) — New York prosecutors investigating former President Donald Trump’s business dealings have convened a new grand jury to hear evidence in the probe as the previous panel’s term was set to run out, a person familiar with the matter told The Associated Press Thursday. The development comes as the Manhattan district attorney’s office is weighing whether to seek more indictments in a case that has already resulted in tax fraud charges against Trump’s company, the Trump Organization, and its longtime CFO Allen Weisselberg. Trump himself remains under investigation after District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. led a multiyear fight to get access to the Republican’s tax records. The person was not authorized to speak publicly and did so on condition of anonymity. The news of the new grand jury was first reported by The Washington Post. With absolutely no logic, I think this is the game where the Lions briefly get it together and edge the overconfident Riders. That would make me very happy.

Any country whose courts have decided that corporations are people is screwed. And those who openly participated in the planning or supporting the January 6th attempted coup are being elected. A prime example is Youngkin who was elected governor despite openly racist rhetoric that placed him to the right of Trump.

There were no other positions comparable to the jobs that were lost. The only recourses were to work for lower wages in term positions with private firms with literally NO benefits or migrate to the US, which many (including my niece) did.

Newsmax Star Claims Vaccines Contain ‘Bioluminescent’ Tracker Linked to Devil Newsmax White House correspondent Emerald Robinson on Monday night tweeted out the utterly batshit claim that COVID-19 vaccines contain a “bioluminescent marker” named after Lucifer “so that you can be tracked.” Twitter has since taken down Robinson’s post, replacing it with a note stating the tweet violated the social platform’s rules. Robinson, who has a long history of making provocative and outrageous statements on social media, reacted to another Twitter user’s post that the “Moderna vaccine DOES contain Luciferase.” That user also attached a clip featuring a Wikipedia description of the enzyme, which notes that “the name is derived from the Latin word lucifer, meaning ‘lightbearer’” and the enzyme produces bioluminescence. “Dear Christians: the vaccines contain a bioluminescent marker called LUCIFERASE so that you can be tracked,” Robinson blared in her Monday night tweet. “Read the last book of the New Testament to see how this ends.” The Biblical reference cites the Book of Revelation, which describes a war in heaven between the Archangel Michael and “fallen angels” led by the devil, also known as Lucifer. The book also warns that “no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” None of the COVID-19 vaccines, however, contain luciferase or any other tracking materials. While the enzyme was used in COVID-19 research to help researchers track how viruses interact with cells, luciferase is not an ingredient in the actual vaccines. Furthermore, the enzyme has nothing to do with Satan or the devil, as its name merely references the Latin term for light. There were real, not imagined cuts to healthcare by the PCs. At Concordia, for example, They were ordered in 2018 to reduce knee and hip replacements by a third, lengthening wait times by over a year but producing very little savings. During Filmon's tenure almost 1,000 nurses were laid off.
