  1. Voodc working great!
  2. Hard to judge him with all the rookies and changes on offence, but he looks solid.
  3. Not that its gonna happen, but Streveler looked like a starter. For the difference in salary, is it worth keeping Collaros if Wilson also shines?
  4. And he has the instinct and wheels.
  5. Soooo...a Person of interest?
  6. I should have worded that post to reflect that Bighill and Alexander are gone from the roster, but I do not think it was solely a coaches' decsion. They were aware enough thaat their professional pride invetervened, or I think they might still be dressing. And Kolankowski's best before date was 2009.
  7. Disagree. It was obvious to all and sundry that there were four players who ought to have been replaced before the start of last season: Kolankowski, Alexander, Bighill and Jake Thomas. All were past their "best before" dates and for reasons known only to God and O'Shea, they kept being put out there and seem likely to be out there again a lot this year. Those four players cost us the Grey Cup and probably contributed to the injuries to Bighill and Collaros. The secret, if there is one, to remaining competitive in the CFL and pro sports in general is to get rid of players before they become major liabilites. That is the business side of this and too many GMs and coaches have been sacked because they lost their objectivity.
  8. Case is not a rookie and showed little last year. As a sophomore, he ought to be well ahead of anyone else competing for the job, or he is not a keeper.
  9. In reading between the lines, it looks like Lofton may be in trouble. He was OK last year but not exceptional enough to warrant gifting him a spot. From the Tait description, it sounds like the overall talent is better than last year.
  10. I like him- he is very quick but not fast. A good nose tackle. I noted that he has a marine-type shaved haircut, which would make him a short-haired Pointer. I'll show myself out.
  11. Looks awfully thin at defensive tackle. Where is Lawson?
  12. Webb would seem to be perfect for the CFL's wider field and his quickness ought to allow him to adapt to the waggle and multiple offensive sets here. His bio says he should put on more muscle for the NFL but in the CFL, that would likely reduce his quickness. Looks a lot like Jackson Jeffcoat's style of player.
  13. They didn't even get to first base.
  14. I remain a firm believer that if Streveler was healthy and allowed to replace Collaros last Grey Cup game, we would have won handily.
  15. Streveler getting more reps may turn out to be a blessing.
  16. He was/is fast in a straight line but neither explosive off the line or capable of making a deke.
  17. Make or break season for Steveler. He has to show that he is good enough to replace Collaros permanently if need be. Never say never.
  18. Still holding out for Inuit throat singers or a Gregorian chant choir. Would recommend a Buddhist singalong but.....
  19. Seems to have his head screwed on properly and am looking forward to seeing him in the Bomber training camp.
  20. Agreed, But Jake got older and even slower and then we had a rotating number of d-linemen which was never really settled.
