Every decision is a gamble. -
And Reggie Slack had at least one really bad knee as well. Slack had one of the most intense stares in pro sports. He would have been one of the CFL greats if his body did not deteriorate.

You would not be the first to get in **** for chasing pu**y. I do not have to remember the whole game- the last few minutes are enough to generate nausea and rage. -

I think the LB you were referring to was an import player with the Riders who was HIV-positive, knew it and yet had unprotected sex with various local women. I believe he was convicted of ACBH and spent a few years as a guest of Her Majesty's government and then deported. -

i was surprised and impressed with Paddy's poise and intelligence during the interview. He would make a great TV analyst/commentator when he's done pushing people around. -

No one is saying that we ought to have the hanging before the investigation. There have been provably false accusations but the vast majority who come forward are ordinary people who have been savaged, and if there is one victim, it is almost automatic that there have been others who kept silent. I do not know if the statistics have changed, but some 20 years ago, about 80% of victims never spoke out, allowing the offender to move on to the next target. -

No way in Hell that the CFL needs a sexual predator as even a minor player, let alone a star. I have worked with raped women and even my late wife who was a nurse suffered because of this sort of thing on the job. The damage is catastrophic in many cases, and rape has nothing to do with sexual gratification. It is an act intended to humiliate the victim and reduce her/him to an object of powerlessness and utter defeat. Most predators have been victims or vicarious victims but that in no way excuses them from responsibility or consequences. -

The employer has not only a right but a duty to protect employees from a toxic workplace, and can be named jointly in any civil suit if they did not act according to team/league/ societal standards. And remember- in a civil suit the plaintiff does not have to establish proof beyond a reasonable doubt, but just a simple preponderance of evidence. -
In saying that Bighill was the goat, I meant that he was the one in chase position- a race he would lose most times even when younger and healthier. And yes, i would bet on Houston being who screwed up, that was not obvious- Bighill's futile attempt was.
-
Yes, Bighill was the goat on that horrible play, but from his comments, it seems that he was covering for someone who was consistently screwing up- probably the inside halfback on that side. Bighill was probably hobbled and ought not to have played, but ultimately it was the defensive coordinator who made the call.

Well, well, well. It seems the signing of that other kicker was purely for show.

I wouldn't tell my son to work as prison guard., either. I know enough of them to say that it is a stressful job at best and toxic at worst, and the inmates are not the only problem.
