  1. The holes for Harris (and Streveler) were not there very often.
  2. Disagree. Given O'Shea's stubbornness, Hall will be back again, and the problems with the offence and offensive game planning will still be there. A change in quarterbacking will not change anything substantial.
  3. As my final commentary on the debacle that was last night's game: the defence came to play and did, and to me, that indicates that Hall's absence was better for the team than his presence. This loss was mostly on the offence, and the O-line was mostly good enough, the offensive game plan was pure, unadulterated horsepoop, the quarterbacking was terrible but its hard to put all the blame on Streveler. The receivers did not cover themselves with glory, the running game was okay when it was used, but the Riders knew that the passing game was going to be near-nonexistent, so they plugged up the middle and put a spy on Streveler- game, set and match. Alexander was great at safety, but whythehell did this take so long? It has been painfully clear to all and sundry for weeks that Hecht was nearly useless. Alexander was injured, but surely the Bombers had an import player who could have been way better than Hecht. And we still receivers who will fight for the 50-50 balls. We lost 100% of those last night. And as a footnote, we got out-coached again.
  4. Nononononononono
  5. And he said even less today than usual.
  6. There were those in this forum who expressed concerns even early in the season.
  7. I think that Streveler's performance, miscues and all were the result of him trying to gamble and win the game that was slipping away. He did not look good, but he may yet be salvageable, as Vernon Adams was in Montreal.
  8. You are assuming that it would be better if Nichols was not injured. The deficiencies in the team were becoming evident even before he went down. And the coaching has remained the same.
  9. Well, at this point mediocrity would be an upgrade for the Bombers.
  10. I think hanging all this on Streveler is a gross over-simplification. We still do not have have receivers who will go fight for the lobbed balls or the coordinators who can adjust game plans on the fly.
  11. O'Shea has chosen, supervised, assessed and defended his coordinators. His judgement is suspect at the very least and does not inspire confidence in him as a head coach.
  12. That could have resulted in an embarrassing loss.
  13. I have been maintaining that the Bombers had better talent but a worse team. I need to rethink that.
  14. As I was saying.......
  15. Umm.......maybe the congeniality prize, but other than that, no.
  16. Tradition?
  17. Not sure if any or all would have made a difference in this game.
  18. Two successful, but only one unsuccessful
  19. Alexander has played a helluva game. shoulda happened 6 games ago.
  20. Thank God for the small mercy!
  21. Almost, but no.
  22. Maybe Streveler has been Willy'ed.
  23. We've doubled our scoring!!!
  24. With no proof whatsoever, I suspect it was a desperation throw by Streveler in hopes Demski would go get it.
