  1. Barriere and Ward are apparently the two potential nuggets on the list.
  2. And he became a QB pretty late in his athletic career. None of this guarantees that he will ever become a CFL starter but it would be nice to know one way or another before he is thrown out onto the field in an emergency relief situation.
  3. A lot of the linemen who have come to the CFL from the US of A have mentioned that. That the extra man and the wider field seem to be the big adjustments but some never get it.
  4. I will be watching for him to see how many Leos he puts on roller skates.
  5. Or, he has shown very well in practice. No one expected Geoff Gray or Kongbo to start this season , but here we are and they are doing well.
  6. Well, he is aware of his strengths.....
  7. I assume that you are referring to the last 90 seconds of the game.
  8. RE: the Walby burger: ugh. Reminds me of that Texas roadhouse that serves 64 ounce steaks and people eat until they barf. That would put me off burgers forever. RE: the Lions/Bomber game tomorrow. A wounded animal is often the most dangerous and the stench of the Argo game is still in my nostrils. If the Lions are within striking distance at halftime, Bombers will be in trouble, because that was the scenario in the Argo game. Reilly is dinged up but still a premier QB, waaay better than Bethel-Thompson. Moreover, the Bombers have sucked at halftime adjustments since, well, forever.
  9. It was a tragi-comedy, but for the fans of the Big Blue, it was pure tragedy. And an infuriating one at that.
  10. Thus spake Zarathustra.
  11. Ain't nobody got no guarantees. We thought the game against the Argos would be a laugher.
  12. On 1290 radio this morning, Bauming stated that in the past 3 games, 54% of the Bomber offence came from Harris, and that is not sustainable.
  13. You not assuming that the coaches have been tailoring their offensive game plans to make the most of Nichols' abilities.
  14. Andrew Harris
  15. You mean a drier fan?
  16. You are a foolhardy man.
  17. Well, according to some, if the Bombers win a game, there is no room for improvement needed.
  18. That, and tripping over his bottom lip.
  19. And remember: If life gives you melons, you're probably dyslexic.
  20. Well, when life gives you Lemons.....
  21. I would like to see Eli in at least spot duty. Dejarlais took a few plays to settle in but acquitted himself well after that. I know there is the adage that you cannot have enough good NI O-linemen but Jeez, we seem to be nice and deep at that position and Neufeld's value is not increasing as trade bait.
  22. Exume plays like he has a spare body. Whether he has the instinct or experience is the question.
  23. With Kongbo now on the D-line, maybe its time to audition an import safety.
  24. Since we do not have the ability to break down the video of each play to see who is open is and who is not, all we can do is look where Nichols tries to lob his passes and whether Walters is auditioning new receivers. I have a hard time believing that Adams, Matthews and others have not been able to get open. I could accept that the deep receivers get discouraged late in the game with not being targeted.
  25. We have another Canuck, Johnny Augustine who looks to be quicker and more elusive than Harris but probably not as powerful or experienced but his hands are unknown. I think we're ok there but its hard to replace an all-star. We also have Brady Oliviera on the IR and gone for the year but he looked very good in his brief stint.
