An expensive insurance policy.

Well, if Lawler was involved in the fracas, he could be called, "Lawler the brawler".

I suspect that Matthews was hitting on some clubs members of the female persuasion and one of the males in the vicinity thought that Matthews said , " I wanna get forked tonight" and took him at his word.

She's in a convent.

There is also the ability to read how the blocking is developing in front and anticipating where the holes might be. I recall a BC player named Rocky Long who came into camp as a quarterback hopeful but had to sub as a kick returner when the usual one got hurt. Long wasn't fast but his spidey sense allowed him to be a darned good returner.

So we are told.

There is a great drink (Jamaica Shake) using dark rum- I prefer Captain Morgans' but what the heck. It consists of one ounce of rum, three ounces of cold coffee and then four scoops of premium ice cream into a blender. Blend until you have the texture of a regular shake and can drink it with straw if you wish. Vary the ratios of rum and coffee to ice cream to taste.

When did this happen?

I have had a hamstring injury, and the damned thing took forever to get right. I found out that in the early stages of healing, it is real easy to aggravate it.

Streveler (safe pick)

You may have noticed that the distance from your mouth to your bladder (which has shrunk to the size of a walnut) has been shortened to about 4 inches.

This does not bode well for Chris Matthews' future here. Plus, I want to sign that player (#26 in the dark uniform) who caught Grant in the first clip.

He probably has to go online to check his bank account to comfort himself and get back to sleep.

Plus the head coach is nothing short of terrible.

Its a Mexican-themed eatery, so lots of salt is mandatory.

I believe it takes several years of a stable roster for CFL fans to start identifying strongly with a given edition of a team. It also helps to have personable players out in public- Khari Jones and Buck Pierce are a couple of examples.

Placate yourself with numerous libations.

Good on Mr. Jones. He still has a lot of fans here pulling for him and its nice to see a good guy making the most of his opportunity.

According to 1290 radio this afternoon, Matthews was suited up at practice today but did not practice with the first team. This is starting to look like a soap opera.

The only way that the Riders can back into the playoffs is the ineptness of all the other teams. This is the worst assortment of poor teams in years, maybe decades.
-
I voted for the Riders. I feel dirty. Only Claybrooks being fired immediately after the game will make me feel better.
-
No worry. Pallister is probably on vacation in Costa Rica.
-
I'm betting that both Whitehead and Demski will be ready for the TiCats.
-
Looks like Claybrooks and Chamblin are competing to be the first head coaches to be fired this season. Problem is: who do the GMs have to replace them? Is Trestman available or interested to be in Vancouver?

We all (at least most of us) knew that Nichols was a good quarterback, but there still was the question whether he was good enough to help the team to the Grey Cup. I posit that the question has been answered now. A good quarterback by himself rarely carries the team, and Mike Reilly with the Lions is living proof of that. Nichols was criticized for not slinging the long ball and getting conservative (no political commentary here) late in the game. As has been posted here already, this was the most dominant performance by the Bombers in a very long time and likely the game of Nichols' pro career. Ottawa is ahead of three other CFL teams but they didn't deserve to be on the same field as the Big Blue.
