The league was probably looking at Carter as an attention-getting ploy, but his act has worn thin and when he disappears to become a trivia question, no one will grieve. Except maybe his mom who will have to take him back in, but maybe she has already changed the locks.

Monday Morning Musings - we're 4 and 0 edition
Tracker replied to TrueBlue4ever's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Some of the screwups in the Bomber secondary can be written off to teething problems as the pieces get familiar with each other and the system, but that excuse is gonna get real old real fast. -
Agreed. He has an incredible set of afterburners.

It is one of life's mysteries that a good guy like Langford has been given a bit of talent and tries hard but not quite making it, while an idiot like Duron Carter has been blessed with mega-talent but no appreciation of what he has. Sounds like the plot of "Amadeus".

In Saskabush, that would a positive asset for their sisters.

1290 radio reported this morning that Reed was fired for all of the above reasons but the catalyst was reports from the community about Reed's personal conduct in public. That seems to have started the avalanche.
-
There has been consequences to Reed's screwing with the rules- he has been fired, the coach has been fired and Mack has to be on very thin ice. I do not expect Mack to survive the coming purge and the best he can hope for is to survive the season with his salary. I cannot see how the CFL can punish the team to any extent. The team is staggering at best with a flicker of hope and the truth is that the CFL is much better off with a vibrant team in Montreal. Reed is done in the CFL and probably in all of pro football. he will be lucky if he is not charged with fraud.

Davis is not a rookie. he is just flat-out baaad.

And here comes either Jim Barker or Eric Tillman.

Didn't see Temple get many reps but he didn't stand out in a bad way, unlike Fenner and Jones. who I consider to be much greater liabilities.

Ooops...wrong owie.

Neither QB looked like premier pivots, but Masoli looked to have more maturity. Arbuckle still looked good, just not superhuman. The game could have gone either way but overall, the TiCats appeared to be more mature as a team. The Stamps are still adjusting to life without key players and no BLM but I think they will get it together in another game or two.

Wasn't he one of the hobbits?

Be grateful that you do not have to watch endless repeats of the 7-11 and Old Spice body wash commercials.

Good on Moe, but I was hoping that somehow his health would allow him to return to the Blue and Gold.
-
I'm not sure Reed's ego will allow him to not micro-manage the team, but I am very happy for Khari.
-
Hecht did not look good right after the impact, and as his arm was in a sling that would be a strong indication that he will not be good to go next game.
-
Would the departed Als coach have had anything to do with that decision?
-
Adams looks like a legitimate CFL quarterback and is making Khari look like a great coach. Could Sherman have had that bad an influence on the Als?
-
I suspect that Sanchez would consider that a compliment.

If Dondrae Wright cannot play better than Derek Jones did last night, he ought to be dispatched forthwith.

What was encouraging was seeing Nichols hitting some long passes for big yards- it looks like he is getting used to having receivers who can get deep fast. All things considered, the Bomber O-line did pretty well against a decent Argo D-line and can only get better. The receivers made some very nice catches. However, we need to get Fenner assessed for bi-polar disorder. Two weeks ago, he looked like he would struggle against high school receivers, looked very good last game and reverted to pathetic again. If he is playing defence only every second game, he ought to have his salary cut by 50%. It didn't help that Derek Jones looked even worse. Streveler continues to think run first if his first read doesn't look good, but he threw a couple of nice passes, which is encouraging. As dominant as the Bombers were in the first half, they looked mediocre in the second on offence. This concerns me because if the Bombers cannot continue to fade in the last halves of games because it can persist into close games, leading to losses. There has to be a certain mentality in good teams where they do not let up because they are ahead.

Okay, its in the bag. Good night all.
